it's honestly pathetic to call this rigging. Even if it does hit the camera, it's the fucking GK who initiated it, and nothing happening after was a guarantee of a goal. It's just crying that a completely legit goal isn't cancelled because of something nobody can tell for sure happened.

The difference is that the strand of hair belongs to a player, therefore it counts as playing the ball. Really not that hard to understand.

Play is only stopped if it prevents the defender's ability to play the ball. There was nothing stopping the defender from winning the aerial duel as the ball came down.

So let me try to understand: we have 3 videos.

>>156679705
(A) Some 3D animation the BBC cooked up. It shows a cheeky little extra jump roughly when the curve hits the apex. It has the look and feel of some 3D video game replay glitch though, so it's unclear whether we can trust this.

>>156680180
(B) Some reasonably quality side view video of the same. You can't see any clear jump or trajectory change.

>>156680440
(C). Some grainer view from the back. As >>156681312 sketches out, one (including myself) is tempted to see the ball change to the right as if that black blotch is getting hit by it. But the camera movement also jerks to the left at this moment.

Conclusion: (B) is the clearest video. Clearly, no camera got hit. No clear little jump as in (A) can be seen. At best some wire might have been touched, but no sudden movement or clear trajectory change is eminent. Whatever people think they see in (C) (including myself) is probably due to the jerky camera movement. (A) is probably a glitchy 3D reconstruction. If you don't want to trust the ball sensor data because "tech can be faulty" then why trust some random 3D reconstruction?

If you think otherwise please pinpoint the exact frame in (B) and (C) where the hit is supposed to occur.
>>
>>156687713
I don't know this sport but aren't you generally supposed to push around a bit in situations like this to get optimal positioning? but if you're a pussy you can just not push back and get pushed over and draw a foul?
>>
The premise that wirefags expect us to accept is that goalie can kick the ball to the other side of the pitch with SUCH PRECISION that even with the multiple second flight time and the player’s ability to MOVE, he is not taking an enormous risk letting the ball into England’s possession, and that the only way it got into England’s possession is because it clipped a wire.

A fucking golfer would struggle to get the ball near a particular moving player at that range.

People need to understand something. Sports is a form of entertainment, nothing else. Like all entertainment, parts of it are scripted. The owners and operators of sports never claimed otherwise. They own it, they can manipulate it as they see fit for the purpose of maximizing the entertainment value. Just like seeing a movie or a magic show, your suspension of disbelief is counted on. All sports is entertainment, and it is manipulated by the owners and operators through the referees and judges. Owners, operators, and representatives have testified to the fact that they reserve the right to manipulate their product as they see for for the purpose of maximizing entertainment.
