Can anyone become a pro footy player if they train from child and have a good diet and health results?
>>
There's like a thousand leagues so yeah probably
>>
Yes especially goalkeeper
>>
No, the game is too big. If you played from childhood, consistently practiced and were extremely fit and healthy then you could pretty much guarantee becoming a semi pro but the game is too big you need genetics and early academy training now to be a pro.

>Can anyone become a pro footy player if they do everything you need to do to become a pro footy player?
I think so anon
>>

If you're good enough to get into a youth academy, absolutely. You can make a decent living playing the smaller leagues easily.

Doesn't the game is 'too big' mean there are more opportunities now.
>>
>>156682943
every football player who you see playing in the world cup are literally the best each country could come up with
>>
>>156682943
if you start doing anything from a very early age you will get good at it.
>>
>>156683155
Yeah, opportunities to play organised but not professional football. Local leagues and stuff where you don't get paid.
>>
>>156682943
you need really good parental support
i was the best under 14s player in the brighton area but couldn't go further because my parents were deadbeat scientologists living off the dole and neglecting me and my sisters, only got as far as i did because i paid for all my own shit with a paper route lol
>>
>>156682943
Absolutely, though you still need to be very lucky to get recruited in a pro teams youth system
>>
If by pro you mean playing in third division yeah, probably, but not likely. I have seen too many people fall off. It's not easy to get there, too many people and the risk of injuried it's too high.

Sorry, bro, but you ain't d'quamsh from the refugee center. Get a grip

>genetic health
>talented/above average executive function (particularly cognitive flexibility, working memory, and planning/decision-making, along with closely related perceptual-cognitive skills like anticipation and visuospatial awareness)
>environmental health (e.g diet)
>childhood socio-environmental opportunity (e.g. kids football clubs, good football coaches for kids, popular cultural sport for playing at lunch-break or after school)
>good development and scouting system for kids into teenage leagues
>a healthy and vibrant domestic league system with multiple well funded tiers that top-flight clubs can scout from
I would say that probably wraps it up. Obviously if you are more talented in a lower populated country you probably have a better chance of getting into a National squad
>>
if you're over the age of 9 minutes and 23 seconds learning a new skill is literally useless

I guess my uncle wanted me to be really good at sex

>you need really good parental support
wtf yours is exactly like mine
>be 13
>best footballer around, better than most in clubs etc
>get offered trial at Genk youth academy cause a scout noticed
>Genk is 2 hours drive away
>Parents lazy sack of potatoes saying "uhh its not serious no its not serious its just a game uhh go study
>Now working in some bum ass company getting paid fuck all

Parents are your biggest enely
>>
>>156682943
sure, there's multiple tiers but only the talented rise to the top, the skilled are proficient but never excel
>>
>>156683346
ain't that just the way

Not everyone is Iniesta, there are borderline retarded ngubus doing well.
>>
>>156684319
above average isn't too much to ask for, and the Ngubus probably have good spatial awareness, reflexes and short-term decision making ability even if lacking in other departments
>>
>>156684457
Blacks need a whole standard deviation just to reach average. You are right but they have even more selection pressure then.
>>

Don't listen to the guys saying you it's possible. I think the percentage of guys that turn pro is like 1%. So out of 100 kids playing at youth level only 1 plays professionally. And every player you see was the best in their group. And you have to be talented as in to be good with the ball. Which some people just have wooden legs. The very first trial for guys born in 1980s used to be you'd go into a lockerroom with 30,40 guys and the coach would give you the ball and if you couldn't do 10 kick ups you'd be out

I could have been a decent footballer if I wasn't autistic. I'm a fast sprinter and have good situational awareness. But the rules don't make sense to an autist brain that demands absolutes, so I never tried and played video games instead.
