Way too boring and long, football isn't the same anymore, it isn't fun to watch like in 2000s and 2010s. 48 teams was a mistake, group stage was a snoozefest, Qatar one also had better music.
It's not only the world cup but I can't watch football anymore like I did before, it's too boring and with VAR it just gets even more boring, I only watch the world cup every 4 years or once in a while when my team (Palmeiras) is in Libertadores finals or the club world cup.

In terms of play it just isn't fun. The beautiful football fell off a cliff in favor of tactical adjustments, tempo, etc. There have been very few games with pleasant football being played and most of them were played in the group stage. The large increase in the number of games played all season long affected everyone negatively.

I would rate it 4/10, to he hydration break is necessary, I agree, but they make it look like a pre-quarter-division for football, the refs and VAR have been absolutely fucking terrible and the implementation of the new rules have affected the games for the worse. Games have been shit, the only memorable moment in this world cup is Almirón being sent off for covering his mouth. Teams have also being quite poor, it looks like France was going to win it since minute 10.

Group stages were the best, although that ENG vs MEX match was the best single competition and environment. I enjoyed seeing Yuropoors making videos about shit they see around American wilderness and consumer utopias.
Plus the matches were on while I was awake.

I can see both this opinion and the other worst ever opinions being true. Dude the Group Stages were magical, also you have to admit the great facilities except for a couple tiny moments were wonderful for vibes. It was just wholesome to show Euros that our stadiums aren't really that soulless and are pretty cool in their own way so we can increase appreciation for each others peoples.

Then the Round of 16 hit and it killed The World Cup unironically everything fell apart. ARG vs. Egypt, Trump and USAFIFA, VAR also screwed US in Round of 32 but we shouldn't have tried to break the rules and just been cool resigned to our fate. So much rigging and bullshit designed to favor the top ranked teams.

I feel like this went down 2/10 per week we played so that goes: 10/10 The Bucees Era 8/10 Group Stages its getting a bit boring now 6/10 Round of 32 4/10 Round of 16 5/10 Round of 8 having a lot of tight and extra time games is awesome. Round of 4 3/10 and championship we'll say 2/10 if France wins and if England wins 10/10 if Spain wins 5/10 and Argentina 4/10 just because back to back winning is insane. Give it up.
