Haaland's foul that led to the second goal's cancellation was slight, and you could argue that the English player flopped, but he should have known better. Also, subbing out Haaland so early was a mistake, when the Norwegians had so many chances they could capitalise on in ET.

My only quibble hinged on whether VAR would have checked the sequence leading to the disallowed Egypt goal if it hadn't been Argentina and Messi on the other side, because I know from watching club football that UEFA is very inconsistent in cases like this one, but FIFA has actually been consistent throughout this world cup so I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
