Norgesissies.... my little nordic bussy is literally shaking with rage.... how was the clear and obvious infraction not pulled up?!

It's telling that I'm seeing various flags arguing Argentina beat Egypt fair and square but mainly only England flags arguing England beat Norway fair and square.

For what it's worth, I watched the game and saw nothing outrageous. I was mostly mad with the French referee for interfering with play so much when it wasn't overly violent or physical. That's why I was surprised when I came to this subreddit and saw everyone complaining about the ball hitting some cable which led to the first goal. Even if it really happened, for which I haven't seen any proof, it's such an unusual incident that I can't blame the ref for not stopping play. Human error has always been a mainstay in high-profile games, and England has been on the receiving end of it multiple times, like in 1986 or in 2010.

My first impressions were that Norway played themselves. Sørloth's failure to assist Haaland was a big one. Haaland's foul that led to the second goal's cancellation was slight, and you could argue that the English player flopped, but he should have known better. Also, subbing out Haaland so early was a mistake, when the Norwegians had so many chances they could capitalise on in ET.

People just coping over the wholesome chungus team losing, nobody would have complained (except maybe bongs) if a two handed shove disallowed an England goal

What did you think of the Argentina vs Egypt game?

The foul was so gruesome that it hit multiple parts...

Mostly the same thing, Egyptians lost their composure, conceded three goals and deservedly lost. My only quibble hinged on whether VAR would have checked the sequence leading to the disallowed Egypt goal if it hadn't been Argentina and Messi on the other side, because I know from watching club football that UEFA is very inconsistent in cases like this one, but FIFA has actually been consistent throughout this world cup so I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Nobody else has integrity like us. They prefer to lie about how everything is rigged. Only we will tell you the truth.

It’s crazy. You’d think he would have built enough of a reputation with these embarrassing dives that he’d get carded for it at some point. At least the ref didn’t fall for his bullshit yesterday.
