Best manager in the history of NT managers or what?
>>
>>156831191
He sucks as a manager. His gameplan is hope that Messi does something
>>
His game plan is called: che pelotudito del orto pasale la pelota a messi
>>
Why don't the other managers tell Messi to save their asses? Are they stupid?
>>
>>156831205
He's got a 73% wr and has won 3 consecutive international trophies (if we ain't counting the f*nal*ssima, which I don't) plus made finals on his 4th (WC BTW) today
>first time ever as manager
>youngest manager in each of these international tournaments he's played
>>
>>156831334
Yeah because in that time Messi decided to do something
>>
>>156831191
Del Bosqeian, when it works it works.
>>
At this point i am starting to believe that creating a team identity and making the players have chemistry (which scaloni excells at) may be more important than tactics and shit atleast for national teams

>implying prime Messi just decided to throw away his chances at rising the trophy the first 4 times
you're being obnoxious on purpose aren't you, cunt
>>
>>156831191
Yes
i dont even know what he does but Argentina plays with soul
>>
>>156831191
His real test is when Messi is not around
>>
>>156831191
yeah cause you can't be a bitch and expect to win, doesn't take rocket surgery to figure that out.

But Scaloni does play tactics and Argentina has a shit ton of talent
Tabarez did the "veni canta conmigo que un amigo vas a encontrar" for 15 years, but since he didn't have talent in the squad, and shit/no tactics, he got results like pic related
>>
>>156831496
soon
>>
>>156831205
If Tuchel’s plan was for Kane to do something and had built the team around him (with a few supporting forwards) he could have easily beaten us.
Sometimes the simple plan is the high IQ one and overthinking tactics is for midwits
This is why I’m also clenching my butt when I think of Spain because their plan is also very simple and the obvious one given their squad
>>
>>156831740
If we win there’s no way he doesn’t retire. Ayala will be the interim coach
>>
>>156832929
Beckham's razor o algo
>>
>>156831191
Probably. 85 wins and 10 defeats is crazy.
>>
>>156833211
True
>>
>>156831191
i think he is just lucky
>>
>>156831191
Just wait until zidane wins three in a row with Mbappe once Infantino clears the way for a World Cup every two years
>>
>>156831191
Sometimes doing nothing is the key to winning. England failed to understand this today.
>>
si, pero como no es europeo y su estilo es ancelottiano se lo va a infravalorar
>>
>>156831191
I DON'T THINK SO BUT HE'S BETTER THAN BIELSA

>Go up 1-0
>Tell your team to try and park the bus for the next 70 minutes
>Act SHOCKED and CONFUSED when the other team eventually gets past the bus and equalizes
>Try and turbo park the bus in response, to play for extra time or something?
>Other team scores in the last 10 minutes and now you're fucked
>Go home
Why do coaches keep doing this? Today was literally like the 4th or 5th time this exact sequence played out in just this tourney alone.
>>
>>156835491
>PASENSELA A DIEGO!
>WINS
>>
>>156831191
probably the most SOVL NT manager currently, not sure if most soulful of them all
>>
>>156835491
Bilardo is god tier but Scaloni giga surpassed him.
>>
>>156835630
Players get tired, teams lose momentum. Another typical scenario is:
>go up 1 -0
>try to keep going
>winning score + tired body
>subconscious mind changes
>start conceding
>the other team is hungry for goals
>choke even harder
It's really hard to make a choice. All coach did was try his last successful tactic.
>>
>>156836414
So the argies just have the best endurance in the world?
>>
>>156836414
>>156836535
Spain do it right when they score and why they win by one or two goals. They keep possession and slow the game down as well as the momentum. But they never let the opposition have the ball even when playing slow.
>>
>>156835630
It's what happens when small teams somehow get a lead against a better team, they can't really keep the ball for long and they eventually get overwhelmed
Whoever watched both teams could tell Argentina could deliver a better game, as what England showed so far was actually its full capacity
What they could do and is not easy, is do it the Paraguay way and go full tank without actually and technically parking the bus to minimize the opponent's chances, but if that were easy, every weaker team would do it
>>
>>156831191
I think he was smart enough to run with the cult that is the Argentine NT (I'm not saying this to demerit them at all btw).
>>
>>156834305
offside goals are not allowed in the World Cup
>>
>>156836414
I knew this was gonna be a stamina game when England just straight up giga rushed before the five minutes of the match. Some fault is carried on the NT manager, but I think the players too.
>>
>>156836866
And they were already gassed by 30, they just got a cheeky fluked goal at 60
>>
>>156836535
No, they play more through the center and less from the sides, that implies less running
>>156836612
What Spain does isn't even comparable. England probably should've kept just flanking them, their fans and press were going to give them shit anyway, but a manager cannot base his decisions on shit like that. He relies on data and data said he had to park the bus.
>>156836866
The first 5 minutes were chaotic. Teams didn't find a steady pace until after the first hydration break and even then there were still a lot of interruptions, which in general, benefit Argentina, they're more used to play choppy matches and find opportunity amongst chaos.
>>
>>156835491
What a kino fucking suit.
>>
>>156836725
This. It's seriously this. The Selección is always going to be a club de amigos until Pissi retires. Scaloni and his team understood this, they also understood Messi is by far the best player in the team but he needs a strong team mental to not choke horribly so they got rid of the drama queens. It's no coincidence that the other coach Messi liked (Sabella) also reached the finals of a World Cup.
>>
>>156831479
I mean that's what we did and we've gotten to quite a few finals from having a vibes team
>>
>>156831479
>>156838589
Vibes only work if you have base talent. A good base is 5 talented players in key positions: GK, CB, DM, OM, ST Messi is worth from 3 to 4 talented players in 2 of those positions. Argies have at least 5 other talented players, they clearly got enough talent to vibe their way through any cup. England has 6 talented players at best, and 2 of them aren't in the key positions (wingers) so they definitely need tactics.
>>
>>156831205
Like every other from 2008 till now?
>>
>>156831191
He's shit at making subs but other than that this team was created by him, no other NT is as friendly with each other as this one. We'll see when Messi retires
>>
>>156831519
Messi was horrible in the AFA before him. It was very common seeing jokes about Barca messi vs Argentina Messi, and how in reality he was a spaniard.
