>During the assembly among the club's components, no one was aware of Maldini and Leonardo's resignations. They found out through Sky's notifications. Maldini made this decision because he felt his autonomy had been undermined. Malagò was aware that Pirlo was one of the options that Maldini and Leonardo had presented to him during the negotiations. Paolo Maldini (technical director) and Leonardo (advisor) have submitted their irrevocable resignation to the FIGC. The decision comes after the federation reversed course on the hiring of Andrea Pirlo, a move that triggered the resignations

>Maurizio Pistocchi: In this country, laws are applied to adversaries, while they are interpreted with friends. According to credible sources, in Italy there are 140 companies that still maintain commercial relations with Russia, across various merchandise categories—from weapons to clothing to food—and that have brought $1.2 billion in taxes into the coffers of the Cremlino (data from 11.2025). Not only that: countless other companies trade with Russia, using triangulations with other countries, first and foremost Turkey. Therefore, the reasons that led to #Pirlo's exclusion from the national team's bench are partly pretextual, also because there is no evidence that the coach ever made public statements of support for Putin's government. In fact, if the same evaluation metric were to be adopted for all those who in one way or another do business with Russia, the first to be sanctioned should be the United States and Germany, at the top of the list of countries with the highest revenues from trade exchanges. In reality, on the skin of Pirlo—and of Maldini & Leonardo—the latest political battle has been fought between the Government (LaRussa) and the Figc (Malagò), in which the sky-dwellers of FdI have deliberately used a pretext to show everyone who's in charge. In this situation, Malagò could have joined forces with Maldini in the face of undue political interference and confirmed the choice of Pirlo, but in this unfortunate country there are major and costly projects on the horizon—read: 5 stadiums to host Euro2032—that cannot be done without the support and funds allocated by the Government. And so, the king of the little beam Malagò has lost in one fell swoop men, battle, and credibility; Maldini & Leonardo, whom he had chosen to restore credibility to the national team, have obviously resigned; and after a month we're still at that stick and that fig tree. Meanwhile, the whole world thinks what Emilio would say..
Bulls eye. Bravo!

Contain your prolapse of useless words. What's been happening with Maldini and Leonardo is clear proof that FIGC has been long controlled by emissary of a shady Italian football club that flirts with the San Luca community and shouldn't ever be allowed to set foot near a football pitch. However, this very same club is not only tolerated but even allowed to decide on internal positions and appointments within the federation (including fixture lists), because it would never survive on its own. The very same club that exerted countless pressures on Covisoc, Rocchi, the referees’ association, its appointments and the press to avert the spectre of bankruptcy following that of asset seizure.
This isn’t football. This is blatant sports fraud criminal activity parading as Christian Democrat huffed farts.

Second Reminder: This is not about excusing the mistakes and shady deals of an unqualified coach (who should not even be a candidate for such a position in the first place) but about that an unqualified coach is not replaced because he is incompetent but because one of marottas inter friends needs a job. Strings are being pulled ((again(!)) so that a washed out coach (who has sold his soul to every possible oligarch and sheikh) can plunge italys nt into another crisis (remember the finalissima? I remember).
With the end goal that inter players can play in the national team.
Its not about politics.
Its not about saving the image of italys nt.

Its not muh whataboutism. Its pointing out the selective enforcement. Rules get only apply when it helps certain people or fits the narrative but ignored or downplayed otherwise. This inconsistent application of standards erodes trust. Not only in football but generally in society. Its the same unsystematic use of rules and laws that has made many around the world lose faith in western institutions. We preached and still preach fairness but apply it selectively based on convenience. And then we are surprised if people have enough and defend themselves.
Consistency matters.
Now stop playing stupid for the sake of it

But to me, it seems he hasn't had any contact with the federation and that the Mancini solution is much more straightforward, and not just from an economic standpoint. Conte is open to returning to the National Team but certainly not with eyes closed. Conte demands a certain type of engagement but also a certain type of project and after what happened in the last few hours it remains to be seen whether there are the guarantees that Conte wants.

Which is not the case here. Maildini recommended guardiola. It didnt happen. He recommendes pirlo. It was reject because of a fake out cry. He then recommends motta which was again reject without any reason. Again: He was deliberately hired to rebuild the national team according to his philosophy but is not allowed to do so. >Turmoil in the National Team after Pirlo’s dismissal and the resignations of Maldini and Leonardo. Roberto Mancini is the frontrunner, followed by Antonio Conte, who however is now highly unlikely to accept the role as a last resort. Chiellini’s name has been mentioned for the role of technical director, but it looks as though he will turn the offer down. FIGC Federal Council is due to meet today: there is also a possibility that Malagò might step down, leading to the appointment of an independent commissioner. The coming hours promise to be tense.

Good morning!

>Comotto is expected to stay at AC Milan. Bologna were interested, but nothing concrete has materialized.
Lazio continue to push for Santiago Giménez. The striker has shown an initial openness to the move, but Milan would prefer a permanent transfer worth around €30M. Lazio can currently only offer a loan with an option to buy, a structure that does not convince the Rossoneri.
>Lazio are no longer pursuing Yunus Musah.
AC Milan have rejected Roma's approach for Nkunku. Milan have no intention of selling the Frenchman unless they receive an extraordinary offer exceeding €50M.
>Diawara is expected to join Rúben Amorim's first-team squad, rather than Milan Futuro.

>It's now official: Embolo shouldn't have received a second yellow card for his dive. "The Athletic" reports this, citing the International Football Association Board (IFAB), which sets the official Laws of the Game. A first yellow card can only be reviewed by VAR if there's a possibility the wrong player was penalized. That wasn't the case here. Paredes was initially booked for a foul, and Embolo was later booked for an alleged dive. Because these were two separate offenses, the incident couldn't be considered a case of mistaken identity. This means Embolo shouldn't have received a yellow card for his dive; the "mistaken identity" rule cannot be used to completely overturn the original decision – essentially turning a foul into a dive.

>The director of La Gazzetta dello Sport explains to Malagò that there is only one candidate for the national team's bench, and it's not the one Malagò has in mind: Antonio Conte. And he makes it clear that Mancini would receive more or less the same treatment as Pirlo. All this while clarifying that getting rid of Maldini and Leonardo is a good thing because the FIGC president must be autonomous and a key player in the decision. Provided it's the desired one.

>Criscitiello: “Viglione arrived at the FIGC headquarters today; journalists tried to ask him questions, but he didn’t stop and simply declared, ‘I’ve got nothing to do with it, I’m a nobody’. In reality, Viglione isn’t just ‘nobody’, he’s the man who has been running the FIGC for years. Viglione is Sibilia’s former lawyer and right-hand man, Sibilia the candidate who, years ago, was vying for the FIGC presidency with Gravina. They had reached an agreement: Gravina was to remain FIGC president for two years, and then Sibilia was to take over for four years. That was the deal. Instead, after Gravina’s first two years, Viglione became Gravina’s lawyer and right-hand man, betraying Sibilia, and a motion was tabled in the Federal Council to oust Sibilla, which is exactly what happened. Finally, Viglione himself acted as a go-between for Gravina and Malagò, on one condition: that he, Viglione, remained in his post at FIGC. In fact, during Malagò’s inauguration, Viglione was seated in the front row, alongside his friend Marotta. Once the ceremony was over, he took Malagò by the arm and led him away from prying eyes to organise the new direction. FIGC is effectively run by Viglione."
In recent months, Viglione has been questioned by prosecutors at the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office following wiretaps and reports concerning alleged pressure and close contacts between the federation’s top officials and the Nerazzurri club, in his capacity as head of the FIGC’s Legal Affairs Office.

The top priority of our football association is to act as a comprehensive shield against any sporting, fiscal, financial or political misdeeds committed by Inter and Roma in order to protect these two clubs from the gargantuan debt they have been carrying for decades; the same two clubs, in a normal country with properly enforced financial regulations on the sporting side, would have gone bankrupt three times in the last twenty years. The leadership of AIA (the Italian Referees' Association) is currently investigation by the Financial Police for complicity in sports fraud and match-fixing for a very specific reason.
To sustain this state of affairs in the corridors of power, Serie A is no longer capable of identifying Italian talent and developing it through consistent, understated training (that is, free from unnecessary media attention driven by vested interests) and a rigorous apprenticeship, because over the years the application of the sporting regulations has been completely neglected, distorted and undermined, particularly in refereeing decisions and the domestic use of VAR since at least 2021. Consequently, players who excel in the league are more likely to crack under pressure at crucial moments (such as the play-off against Bosnia), whilst those who are less conspicuous on league matchdays are capable of putting in decent performances. National team call-ups are also undermined by agents, external political interests and club executives (from the football clubs mentioned above) for substantial financial gain, a fact that further erodes meritocracy within the Italian football hierarchy.
Bearing in mind this summary of grounds, it's easy to see why the competitiveness of the national team may have plummeted over the years.
At this time, despite the investigation into match-fixing and recurrent sports fraud aimed at favoring Inter currently going on, there are no signs of a change in course that might improve the situation.

I knew a guy called Mancini. He made us miss the 2022 world cup, and after that he flew to Saudi Arabia and then Qatar, two countries that don't respect human rights. We Italians would never tolerate a coach that takes money from such countries, that's why Pirlo had to leave.

>Malagò on Mancini and Pirlo: "You’re asking me whether Mancini’s past was taken into account? Of course, and the apology offered by Roberto was significant. It forms the basis for tomorrow’s press conference. I needed someone who shared Mancini’s reputation, and that person was Claudio Ranieri. It’s clear that every possible assessment was carried out. Andrea Pirlo had been chosen as head coach, but there was a U-turn on his appointment for reasons of expediency. There were no legal obstacles, but I didn’t feel comfortable with it. I take responsibility for having halted the negotiations. A situation arose where technical director Maldini and adviser Leonardo had to take a stand. My position was firm and clear. Their resignations were accepted without conflict, but there remains a sense of regret because we were unable to reach a consensus."

I want to see him some place where he's an undisputed starter now that all of the injuries and the recovery has been solved, he's a very unique player

>Juventus must decide on the goalkeeper: understand whether to invest on Suzuki or pivot to Vicario. We can still talk about Emiliano Martínez, but the popcorn is running out. Furthermore, the final reservations regarding KoloMuani must be dissolved. There is still the situation of Lucumí: Como's priority is Chalobah, we will see if Carnevali decides to put the money on the table or if the defender will make a different choice [Pedulla]

Its a fine enough game, its grindy like any Squaresoft RPG but instead of building a character you build a car. The story goes a bit over the top halfway through but i found it an enjoyable experience either way, wish they could have made a sequel.

Good morning!

>Mattia Soulé has been discussed internally at AC Milan. He was recently offered to Milan and subsequently evaluated by the club.
The presidents of A, caught off guard and disappointed by Mancini's appointment: "It's the national team of Roman social clubs, futsal, and padel," someone points out. The clubs are furious, contesting the method by which the choice was made.
>"The National Team's North Rome section is born": that's one of the most popular quips in the afternoon when the presidents of A, stunned, took note of Mancini's choice. "In the name of buddyism, five-a-side soccer, and padel," someone points out
My friends: Malagò has chosen Mancini and Ranieri. The president launches an Italy built at the Circolo Aniene (front page Gazzetta)

Im sick and they still havent called back if Im in the second round

All right fras, my first report is ready:

I can confirm that the toilet's water move counter-clockwise when you flush it. Based on the two dumps I have taken (in different locations), shit moves slower (due to bad plumbing?) and against the direction it takes on the northern hemisphere. For you it may not be statistically representative but for me the empirical evidence is conclusive: the Coriolis force does have an impact even in small bodies of water. I will keep shitting across Buenos Aires so I can add more data to my observations.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

For the moment, however, there's no talk of openly challenging him. But this doesn't mean it couldn't be done in the near future. Serie A knows the mechanisms well for ousting a president. It will depend on Malagò

Where is the lie or half-truth?

I did just remember it, he did get a hilariously dumb 2nd yellow and therefore a red, it was Bbilan's last CL game to date and I did smile ear to ear.

Surely a man as well-versed in the importance of the rule-of-law would know how much false accusations can undermine collective rust in institutions.
