Brazil can't win Europeans since 2006 in knockout matches, people here are happy when Brazil loses, they hate the national team cuz they are just a bunch of bums. Many of them are very disconnected from the Brazilian national team; most of them don't care when Brazil loses. Brazil still has a strong football culture, though, but people prefer local clubs. They're also enjoying other sports, besides the big ones like volleyball, basketball, etc... American football has also grown a lot here, they are trying to spread this on TV.
