>Manchester United wants to bring Francisco Conceicao to the Premier League. New manager Michael Carrick reportedly strongly supports the arrival of the former Ajax player. Conceicao's value is estimated at approximately fifty million euros, which is about 43 million pounds. Last season, he became a regular starter for Juventus, which finished sixth in Serie A. Juventus definitively acquired the winger from FC Porto in the summer of 2025 for 32 million euros and could therefore make a significant profit on him.

Sunderland want to buy Yassine Titraoui.

Dayann Methalie has decided he wants to move to Sunderland but they want €30m (£25m) for him without add-ons, which Sunderland doesn't want to do. But it'll prob happen.

Ernest Poku is close to leaving and Sunderland are interested. Would cost €25m (£22m roughly)

Archie Brown linked to Forest and Sunderland for about £15m

Folarin Balogun is interesting Sunderland but no offer yet and he has two years left and would prob be expensive.

That's basically it atm.

>>
>>157178268
Was assuming it was U21 but it wasn't.

>>157178480
Game is still piss fucking easy. Even playing women. I loaded up Arsenal, signed Lineth Beerensteyn and won everything first season. Then got Shaw, one of the best players in the game, on a free. Then Greenwood on a free. Then Hemp on a free. I think I bought Stanway. Then bought Laia Aleixandri, Pajor, Rodman, Tarciane and I win games 10-0 constantly. Never lost a game. Never drew a game.

Loaded up Inter Miami, did the same. Loaded up Benfica, did the same. Game is easy as fuck. It used to be easier because back in the old days, the AI would put reserves in if your club rep was quite different. So it meant you could often beat big teams in cup competitions despite being League One because they'd play their U21. I remember actually winning the League Cup once as a L1 side because of lucky draws and then getting Man City in the final and winning on penalties iirc.
>>
nigga played women's football manager
>>
>>157178511
>Game is still piss fucking easy.
easy yes. my point about overcomplicated was more about how much unnecessary bloat that was added to the game. press conferences and the like.
i think part of the joy i lost too is knowing now that it's a solved game in terms of what attributes actually matter, but oh well. 26 was the first one i haven't bought since 07, i'll probably skip 27 too unless they really fixed it, which we know they won't because miles is a moron
also the newgen faces are so bad now that it makes me angry seeing screenshots of 26
>>
>>157178535
Of course I did. I already had done what I wanted. I wanted to see what the women's game was like. It's just even easier.

>>157178545
They keep changing the importance of stats. In like FM16 or so (whenever Football Manager Live existed, RIP) having good Heading and good Jumping didn't mean you scored a lot of goals from set pieces. Having 20 Heading and 20 Jumping and being 204cm tall would score fewer corners despite 20 Corners, 20 Crossing, 20 Passing, 20 Flair and 20 Technique players delivering them than a guy with 10 Heading and 15 Jumping but who had 20 Aggression and 20 Bravery because the game took those stats and basically would go 'The player will always get on the end of the ball and try to head it'. They fixed it but now set piece goals are rare regardless of the stats you have. There also used to be an exploit with a specific formation at corners would give you 80% chance to score a goal but they fixed that too.

Anyway yeah, stats have changed. Finishing + Composure used to be key for scoring, then they added Decisions.... Now it doesn't seem to matter at all. Guys with 20 Determination suck in games where a guy with 10 Determination but 20 Important Matches (hidden stat) will suddenly give 150% even if it isn't an important match.
>>
All that matters are physical stats
>>
Why are Liverpool spending 140m on PSG's backup LW when #OurMono is about to be on the market? This is the guy that broke the news on Tchouaboobie's extension btw.
>>
>>157178579
It's been like that for awhile. But in FM24, Messi was a monster despite having basically no physical stats. But there may be hidden stats with him. A guy with 20 Acceleration and 20 Pace and 5 Finishing, 5 Composure, 5 Off the Ball will score more goals than a guy with 20 Finishing, 20 Composure, 20 Off the Ball and 20 Decisions these days, yeah.
>>
>>157178571
in 24 (and 26) isn't it just physical stats are all that matters?
as i typed this message i hadn't scrolled all the way down and noticed >>157178579 beat me to it my apologies
>>
>>157178608
Yep, see >>157178603. I assume Messi has some sort of special stats or something.
>>
>>157178608
>in 24 (and 26) isn't it just physical stats are all that matters?
Yes, horrendously so. There are some mental stats that correlate negatively with points in season long testing, i.e. having a team of players all with 1 in the stat is marginally better than having a team with them all in 20 but worse physicals. All that matters are physicals. And technicals barely matter because SI aren't competent enough to code a match engine where there is a notable difference in how players perform for anything other than "moves faster" and "jumps higher".
>>
>>157178631
>>157178646
yeah i wish i hadn't learned that. kinda the same with all the games i played as a kid (think like world of warcraft or whatever) everything nowadays just gets optimized and minmaxxed to hell.

>think like world of warcraft or whatever
This is why I hate modern gaming, yeah. They bring back WoW Classic right, so it's meant to be like the good ol' days? Nope. You better do these EXACT builds with these EXACT equipment (like everybody else!) and you cannot join raids unless you spend 4 hours doing a specific grind to get all the best buffs so you can clear the raid 0.003% quicker and if you don't, you don't get to join.

How fucking boring is that? Every boss is datamined or leaked before it comes out so everybody knows how to do it, there is no practice no learning from mistake, no grinding to get better gear to clear it. Sucks.

Every other MMO that comes out is F2P with gorllions of shit to buy in shops to make the money. I'd love to just play a game and there not to be much worry. Last game I did this on was Archeage (and I found an exploit and become one of the first - if not the first - guy on my server getting the ArcheAge title which is given when you max every class on one character) but guess what? They added in specific items that were needed for raids and would cost £500~ to buy the mats to make them (and they were RNG as well, I made an item in the game and it got shit stats so was worth less than the mats I used). Yeah I had fun farming and stuff on it but my friends left me and gave me their farms so I couldn't afford to keep them so I quit.

Games are no longer about fun any more unless they're singleplayer and even then you get games like Grim Dawn where the devs listen to the 'hardcore' meta chasers (who cheat to get their characters to fit the meta and all the gear) and create DLC and expansions where if you don't follow the meta you get 1 hit. I made a fun character on it, had great fun, couldn't even finish some fights because the game wasn't built around anything else other than a few.
>>
>>157178745
agreed 100%. i can't decide if it's just cause we're not kids now or if this is just the modern internet. probably both.
but yeah to bring it back to FM, knowing that certain stats matter exponentially more than others just kinda saps the joy out for me. i know i can willingly choose to ignore what i learned but kinda hard to willingly choose to play sub-optimally once you know what optimal is. oh well, i had many thousands of hours of fun with FM in the grand scheme of things

I still enjoy it by playing lower tier teams and stuff because I love the thrill of making a coup signing. Especially two or three seasons in when players are going on free or retiring. Even if they're shit, it's still nice to sign. Like, I dunno, Salah or something.

Why the fuck won't this shit just flush? Why won't Rashford go away. According to Goldbridge he won't play for any other club in the PL bar United. So why does he keep getting linked to PL clubs? Who will pay £375k per week for him? Lol. If I was Rashy I would just go 'Pay for my wages or I'll just hang around here'.
>>
>>157178822
yeah that's what i found myself doing like fm20-24 or so, just as lower league as possible. i like those databases that add down to the 10th level in the english pyramid but it is always kinda buggy that low. and since it's all non contract you can just lose your good players at any point, which i guess is realistic but annoying to play
>>
>>157178875
I once did my local local who is like Lv9 or something and I managed to sign loads of free agents who were like 2-3 levels above my team but because of poor coding and shit I was able to sign. After getting promoted back to back on my 3rd season, I was signing championship tier players due to how the rep was going and I ended up winning the League Cup kek.

Can't do that any more because you cannot sign foreign players any more. Before you'd find some 34 year old Italian who is Championship level and you'd sign for a League One side, he'd bang in 50 goals and you'd get promoted and do the same but low-level PL players, get promoted again, then establish in PL with the money.

arsenal snubbed by bini jr?
>>
>>157178908
No because no bid was made. But you have 'sources' saying he is staying (no you WILL not get the names of who claims this!) and 'sources' claiming that he hasn't decided yet. You now have 'sources' claiming Liverpool and City are looking at him too.

>>
>>157178947

>>
>>157178936
Yeah it's due to Brexit. Before it you could sign any EU player and they could move without a Work Permit due to the rules. Now they can't, they need specific amount of games played and specific amount of international games and other nonsense. So now you're stuck signing UK players at best. So progressing is really difficult as a lower tier team because finding frees that actually improve you in UK or have UK nationality so they can get in without a WP are rare.
>>
>>157178966
The entire footballing pyramid has never been as well funded or as strong. So its obviously a non issue
>>
>>157178958

>Arsenal's planned offer of around €123m (£105m) was not made. After Chelsea offered €138m (£117m), Arsenal left the discussions.

I mean in the game it is an issue if you want to sign good players to get promoted. As I said before, you could sign ex-internationals aged 33/34 who would get you 50 goals a season.

Why the hell do clubs keep signing Garnacho
>>
>>157183667
Yeah, definitely Howe's realisation he can't go any further. BBC reporting what you've said as well:

>Eddie Howe has lost key players Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon already this summer while Arsenal are chasing captain Bruno Guimaraes.

>Well-placed sources have indicated that there has been a level of surprise from Howe at the club’s transfer business so far, though the coach was aware of the necessity for the club to sell players this summer.

>Earlier this year, Howe had decided to remain at St James’ Park regardless of the inevitably about selling players.

Yeah you are literally mentally-ill by the way. Since Shearer did very obviously talk about Howe's sacking but your first action was to save face on 4chan.org.
Can't wait for your shit club to get relegated and now here comes the denial that you even support them.

>An end is finally in sight to the long-running funding dispute between the Premier League and the English Football League.

>The Premier League confirmed its 20 clubs have "unanimously voted" to approve a proposal for a "new strategic partnership", which will be put to the EFL for its members to vote on in the next few days.

>No figure has been put on the deal, which is due to last 10 years, with both sides keen not to debate the issue in public.

>On Saturday, Sky News reported the figure as £1.5bn. This has not been confirmed or denied by the Premier League.

>The Premier League says the proposal is fully funded. It is expected to come through a transfer levy.

>"The Premier League already has long-term funding commitments to invest a record £1.6billion every three years into the wider game and communities," said the Premier League.

>"The Premier League remains committed to finding a football-led solution and looks forward to continuing discussions with the EFL on progressing this proposal."

He was excellent from 2022-2024. He was a big part of Villa getting their first recent CL qualification. Had a bad season and a few unfortunate injuries, was loaned out. Big confidence player, if Hull can get him rolling it will be a bargain but he is no longer at the level for Villa.

Is it just me, or does inside training just feel different now?

No Mohamed at his usual spot by the coffee table at the AXA. No Robbo cracking jokes and lifting the whole room. No Ibou’s laugh echoing through the place. Jota? Oh man. Something’s missing. The soul of it feels quieter.

Change is football’s only constant, I know. New era, new faces, new stories to fall in love with. And in time this’ll feel like home again. But right now? Watching those clips hits different. Like walking into a house that’s still yours but doesn’t quite sound the same.

Guess that’s what these players meant to us. More than footballers. Family.

Not really. He's on about £60k per week. The issue is his release clause is £150m, which the Saudi Club want. As in, they won't negotiate. It's the release clause or jog on.
