he was the one who recommended WC every two years in the first place. At most though I would say for JAHNNY he is a useful idiot.
>>
>>157187744
he's too dumb to understand his new offside rule won't fix anything, he shouldn't be allowed to get any power.
>>

No, his ideas are stupid. Premier League fans seem to think he was like this sage footballing philosopher. He wasn't. The big step forward he made for English football was promoting sports science and forcing the likes of Ray Parlour to stop binge drinking. Basically, a French Sam Allardyce. All of his sophisticated passing football from the late 2000s onwards was nicked from Barcelona. And he didn't even win anything of note doing it.

Based. The gargling of Wenger's balls by the British media is so tiresome. All because he had the brilliant foresight to work out that 3 pints and plate of steak and chips an hour before kick-off wasn't the ideal preparation for the game.

I won't lie, I believed it too growing up. It's an easy sell: "Oh ze French mastermind of English football with the continental flair!" Nowadays I prefer Jonathan Wilson's take which is that the great managers influence football tactics and Wenger never did that.

There's a reason why him and Ferguson gave up eventually despite decades of experience and it's that old people become stupid. It's sad, it's tragic but it's a fact. For many old people it's okay, they stay in their lane, accept their modest final years, for others they still act like they're something. And worse they still have this "reputation" as being some great leader despite their brains having turned to mush somewhat. It's sad but it's the truth.
