Surely Madrid want to go for a striker after Rodri (City want £75m, Madrid wanna pay £55m tops). They should sell Camavinga to United for £60m and then try for Pedro from Chelsea for £85m (Chelsea then go and buy Bouhoudane, Arena or Spiten-Nysæter.

>Arsenal are being presented as a serious destination for Tottenham Hotspur's Cristian Romero, according to Corriere dello Sport. There is interest from Arsenal, and the Nerazzurri are aware it is difficult to compete financially with clubs such as Arsenal. The plan would be to use Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona to secure the best deal from Inter Milan. Even if the Gunners have a genuine interest, Spurs are unlikely to let last season’s captain join their local rivals.
>Arsenal and Barcelona are described as competitors to Inter Milan for Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Romero, whose future is considered likely to be away from his current club. Tottenham initially set a €50m price for the defender, but reports suggest that the club is prepared to lower this price. The Serie A winners have been in contact with Romero's representatives, though it is thought to be unlikely that Spurs would sell their captain to a local rival.
>Reports indicate that Inter Milan are looking to complete a deal to sign Cristian Romero from Tottenham within 10 days, and that Arsenal also have an interest.

>Arsenal have made their first official offer for Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes. The Press Association understands that the offer was turned down. It is understood that there is a difference in the parties' valuation of the player. The Magpies are prepared to approve the transfer on the condition that their terms are met, with a bid of around £75 million to £80 million likely to be sufficient for an agreement. Guimaraes is not expected to strike to force the move and was scheduled to meet his Newcastle team-mates at a pre-season training camp in La Manga on Monday.

They also bought Detourbet, Monga and Charles.

As for Spurs, if we believe it, Savinho which means City then goes and buys whatever they want. The Chelsea decision stating they had 'no sporting advantage' paying better players to join their club with illegal backhanders mean that City aren't gonna get any punishment of merit.

Apparently Bruno to Arsenal is done, it was done a few days ago for £80m, but there was a leak and Newcastle are furious that it leaked. They are now purposefully dragging it out in terms of letting him 'officially' sign for Arsenal. But the deal is done, money and contract signed and dealt with. But Newcastle will make this last a few more days and post
>WE REJECTED THEIR OFFER NOT ENOUGH
It's already done.
>>
>According to Nigerian outlet PUNCH Sports Extra, Galatasaray has rejected a player-plus-cash swap deal bid from Arsenal for forward Victor Osimhen, with the outlet claiming the offer involved Viktor Gyokeres and €30m. The report also states that Arsenal officials recently travelled to Istanbul to attempt to finalise an agreement. Galatasaray values Osimhen at a minimum of €130m, and there is reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
We're reaching sources so shit I never thought possible.
>>
>>157237633
jesus mantroony, ever heard of a diet?
>>
>>157237677
But why? What difference does it make? Wouldn't it be embarrassing, after all this nonsense, when/if the deal is done, the reports will say still say he was sold for 80m? What exactly does this achieve for Newcastle other than make them look dumb if the deal really has already been finalised?
>>
>According to AS, Vinicius Jr is demanding a salary of 20 million euros per year. He currently earns 15 million euros per season on a progressive salary that began at 10 million euros and will reach 18 million euros in its final year. He initially requested 30 million euros per year but lowered his demands after Real Madrid improved its offer. Vinicius Jr also seeks a signing bonus and nearly all of his image rights, an arrangement similar to the one Kylian Mbappé has. AS indicates that Real Madrid does not seem willing to meet these demands.
>>
>>157237768
Dunno, it was a Brazilian journo who claimed it. Translation

>Bruno Guimaraes has been a done deal for Arsenal since the weekend. I know a lot of people are reporting different information, but I trust the people I’ve spoken to. The key part of the agreement - the £80m package - has already been agreed.
>What I heard earlier today is that Newcastle were furious that news of the agreement had leaked. They decided to drag things out a little, NOT over the money, because that part is completely settled.
>It’s much more about the timing of the announcement. The original plan was to do everything together, there simply wasn’t enough time to make that happen. Guimarães is done, completely done. He is Arsenal’s new signing.
>>
City have agreed personal terms with Bouyaddi.
>>
>>157237799
Could it just be that this journalist is trying to save face/farm engagement? Cause I just cannot think of any real reason why Newcastle would care. The "timing of the announcement"? What, like Newcastle didn't have enough time to put together a farewell video for Guimaraes? Do what together exactly? It's not like Arsenal have said anything officially for Newcastle to not have the opportunity to do anything together? Unless they mean together with Guimaraes? I guess like a personal farewell video where he sits down and talks to a camera or whatever? Surely that can still happen cause, again, Arsenal haven't announced anything?
Makes no sense to me.
>>
>>157237851
I think Fraudizio also said it'll be done in the next few hours/days as well (but this is retarded since it's been like this since July 15th), my guess is that there was a plan for them to meet up at the training camp in Spain, Bruno to say his goodbyes and stuff, then for him to go to London for the medical and PR. With Newcastle able to play it off as them playing hardball by stating that
>He's here with us in Spain!
Instead the leak has confirmed he is going and they cannot play the
>we rejected two or three bids until we got £80m
Now we all know it's like £77m plus £3m or some shit like that. Bruno left Brazil today and flew to Spain so that is what I am basing it on, that he was going to Spain, staying for a day or two, say goodbye, then Newcastle 'reluctantly' accepted a 'reasonable' offer and he goes. But due to the leak, we know it's done.
>>
>>157237919
But weren't there already multiple reports saying Newcastle rejected one or two bids? Or was that all fake news?
And if the leak has already ruined their plans then I don't see how delaying it makes any sense when the official news will just confirm the leak and make them look dumb or just really petty. Maybe there's a financial aspect to it somewhere that I just don't see.
>>
>>157237823
Bouaddi
>>
>>157237989
If you believe the claims going back about six or seven weeks, Newcastle have rejected four or five bids. Newcastle said they never got any bids and the only official one was today that they rejected (£70m). As for delaying it, simply, I guess, to make people itching to report it as a done deal wait, I guess.

bro we all know he's a good player he just can't stay fit at all, united played once a week last season and he still got broken, now imagine back playing twice a week again.
honestly idk anymore, this thing is harder to consider with ugarte being out with a long injury. if he were fit at least he could either be sold or just be a 5th choice midfielder to play your FA and Carabao cup.

The white players are

>Fifa's chief of global football development Arsene Wenger says scrapping the plan to have private investment in Fifa competitions was "absolutely necessary and beyond question".

>A week after Infantino's investment plan was first released, the Frenchman issued a statement through Fifa in which he demanded "transparency and integrity" from world football's governing body.

>"The recent events at Fifa deserve some clarity from my side," Wenger's statement read.

>"I was not involved in this strategic plan and first became aware of the project through media reports. The decision to withdraw the project was absolutely necessary and beyond question, because I firmly believe in an independent Fifa that serves our game with commitment, transparency, and integrity."

Glad to see Arsene "I didn't see it" Wenger hasn't changed a bit despite swapping management for Fifa.

The Irish guy asking last night why Newcastle cared about the Bruno to Arse leak coming out. I did some digging and found out why they care.

So, apparently Newcastle wanted to announce their new midfielder signing BEFORE Bruno was confirmed to go. The idea was to lessen the impact by confirming they had a replacement in training already. The leak therefore ruined that. The other thing was that Newcastle was signing a youth player from Arsenal as well, so they wanted to do that at the same time. Newcastle also wanted to get out there that they had 'rejected' offers so it could look like they were playing hardball (this has gone on for nearly two months at this point).

Anyway that's apparently the reason. At this rate I don't think it'll actually happen.
>>
>>157243398
It did seem to blindside everyone, you'd have thought Uefa would've come out with something earlier otherwise. The media suggestion is that it was just something Infantino himself came up with and pushed

None of the federations were actually against this. Before UEFA screeched out of jealousy and not being treated 'properly', the other feds were not complaining about the idea, they were complaining they weren't TOLD about it before hand. That's it. They weren't against $40m sloshing in their bank accounts for 'grassroots football' (aka, $1500 for some grass and a ball, the rest for 'consulting fees' for the FA members) they were against the idea they weren't allowed to argue for more before hand. UEFA meanwhile were annoyed that they're Billy Big Bollocks and $40m is nothing for them. Had Infantino come out and gone
>We'll give you an amount of money proportionate to your FA. So your big FAs will get more and smaller will get less but still a good amount for that particular FA
Then UEFA likely wouldn't have had a problem. If they got $400m each instead they wouldn't have cared if Tuvalu and Niue (not an FA but lets pretend for memes) got $40m.

UEFA is just as greedy and corrupt as FIFA is, it's just in this particular event their desire for greed helped fight the bigger enemy in FIFA. We're gonna have to watch this space because UEFA is already planning to break away if Infantino doesn't stand down (and they get to push their corrupt friend into position, just like USA did in 2015/16 after Blatter) and that would allow them to make bank which is what they care about, not this nonsense on 'integrity' and 'protecting the game'. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if UEFA were secretly goading Trump, Kushner and Infantino to do this so they COULD break away and start monopolising money and income away from FIFA's paws.

Very funny replies from a clearly seething Brighton supporter in the BBC article comments:

>Brilliant deal for Brighton, £30m pure profit for a keeper who’s never played in the prem. Coventry have a player who if he becomes England number one, Brighton buy back at an already agreed fee, and if they decide to not activate that option they've also got what is described as a large and substantial sell on fee, another master class by Bloom, and another club having their trousers pulled down.

>There is a large and substantial sell on clause, no maybe, and the fixed fee agreed buy back option is definitely in place and fully agreed by Carl. The only long term winners here are Brighton and Carl. It’s an understandable short term gamble by Coventry to survive in the premier league, it won’t be financially detrimentally, but it’s only a good deal for Brighton.

>Just facts, he won’t be staying at Coventry, £30m was a silly amount to pay for a player that will be rated highly, and can be purchased back at any time. But even if they don’t activate the buy back clause and someone else offers more, Brighton have a huge sell on clause attached. This is a short term gamble signing that only profits Brighton.

>You do understand that he personally agreed to the buy back clause right? And the clause is there because he’s the replacement for Bart Verbruggen they’ve spent 7 years developing right? And even if another club offered 10x the buy back fee, Brighton still get him. You should read up on stuff before you make silly comments
>>
>>157243801

Meanwhile, fun across the sea:

>James McClean's public criticism of the regime at Derry City has created a "toxic" vibe around the club, according to former Republic of Ireland international Keith Treacy.

>With the club languishing in sixth in the league and now eliminated from European competition, much of the limelight has been hogged by McClean's interventions on social media.

>After being ruled out of the matchday squad for Derry's second leg defeat to Rijeka in the Conference League last week, McClean turned up at the Brandywell wearing a baseball cap which bore the message 'Joker' - helpfully pointing at the message for the benefit of the gathered photographers.

>In the wake of the game, he sent a pointed message on Instagram where he said the blame did not lie with the players' quality or their effort levels - stressing "clearly there is an issue somewhere".

>At the weekend, he posted another video in which explicitly attacked former Derry manager Roddy Collins, who had declared him the "worst signing Derry City have ever made" at the beginning of the season, doubling down on that claim last week.

>Reflecting on the chaotic situation at the club which finished runners-up last season, Treacy wondered aloud whether there was anyone in the dressing room who could confront McClean.

Turns out Poppy Boy is a cunt regardless of where he plays. Whoever could have guessed that(!)

>>Advanced talks include buyback + sell-on clause for Manchester United.

>they signed espi because they just sold gonzalo garcia and they're about to kick mastantuono somewhere else
didn't realise mastantuono is racism

the joke is kick mastantuono out = kick it out which is an initiative to kick "it" (it being racism) out of football

I wonder if this guy will be any good. Has some really good highlights but obviously those never tell the full story.

It's definitely the most "Xabi" signing Chelsea have made

6am in the morning and the first thing he uttered is about trannies

Wow the fee for Bruno G is smaller than I would have guessed. 75m
>>
Bruno Gibberish to Arsenal confirmed. How does one say "finished club" in Arabic?
>>
>John McGinn had to come off for Aston Villa vs. Pathum United with a suspected left knee injury.

>Nasty injury mechanism which caused the knee to collapse in and the foot to roll out. This causes concern for an MCL injury.

>On 30 January 2022, Guimarães joined Premier League club Newcastle United on a four-and-a-half-year contract for a reported fee of up to £40m.

That is a dire profit IMO
And Eddie Meme can't even be blamed now
>>
>>157252063
Also forgot to mention it's taken two days for the move to happen once Arsenal approached Newcastle. Guess the Isak shitshow last summer spooked the fuck out of them and Newcastle wanted Guimaraes gone so there was no repeat of it.

just how many more will (rightly) leave poocastle?

Who else is there to leave?

Please don't post your little theories again. That was based on fuck all and now is proven completely incorrect.

They got his best years out of him and sold him for a profit, how is that bad?
>>
>>157252126
I'm saying the profit's poor, not the fact they sold him for a profit. Should have been double minimum.
>>
>>157252133
>Should have been double minimum.
By that I meant selling for £80m.
