The international quiz is a weird selection. Can't imagine there's a massive overlap between Aussie rules football fans, European football fans and Indian cricket fans.

Today I learned Pakistan play in the Gaddafi stadium

1400 and something
guessed an ipl question wrong

Funny that AFL, cricket and rugby are thrown into the mix with football as if they're all equal in popularity. Pretty sure many people in football nations don't even know AFL and cricket exist, just like people in India don't know some people here play handball

shitass wrong answers
got 1397
but it says the LA galaxy [1994] were founded before seattle sounders [1974]

1830, but I admittedly had to guess the cricket and AFL ones and somehow got it right. No one here knows anything about these sports. The rugby ones were easy

my first thought too. My guess is they are targeting native english speakers and the US & "international" sections are meant to appeal to roughly half of their perceived addressable market.

It seems like it would make far more sense to just split it by sports rather than having these arbitrary groups. It's not like there's a shortage of trivia questions if you factor in the entire history of a sport (especially when you limit it to 10 questions a day).

American sports are a bit different because they all are played in the same country, so it's likely that you'll have fans that follow them all. But no-one outside of Australia cares about Aussie rules, several countries that care about cricket have no interest in rugby (e.g. South Asia), several countries that care about rugby have no interest in cricket (e.g. Pacific islanders), and people in countries that do play both cricket and rugby (like England) often just follow international games rather than league games.

Got all the football ones right and a couple of the others

Thanks to this guy

Terrible categories. Make footy it's own category and separate the commonwealth sports to their own. Also remove schoolyard handegg from the american sports, just professional leagues.

yeah agreed. Whole thing seems a bit AI'd
