is this kid good good or just MLS good?
>>
a kid that young doing well dont mean shit unless its a big league, even our wonder kids like mastantuono or barco, that did well on our league which is better than mls, didnt explode in europe yet, same for endrick
I think the wonderkid stuff only works when its a big european club that gets them early like with yamal or messi or nico paz
>>
>>157417105
just MLS good. He runs hard and is very aggressive when getting into challenges but he doesnt face good defenders, he wont be able to try that shit against premier league or even championship level players who have athletic 6 ft builds and can body you easily.

>Cavan
Why can't mutts name their kids properly? Our underclass loves calling their kids retarded twee shit like Reggie or Albie but at least those are diminutives of actual names. Wtf is "Cavan"?
>>
>>157417256
Americans dont have personalitys 90% of the time, so a weird name makes them feel special, same with telling you their ancestry even tho everyone else in the world knows they are just americans, their only perceived worth comes from what they own or where they work so they do that dumb shit, also every american is delusional that they are gonna be know worldwide so they need a marketable name
>>
>>157417341
But it's not marketable. I keep misreading it as "caravan".
>>
is this the one that got subbed off because of his curfew?

>>
>>157417575
Yeah but no one here says oh i am actually italo argentian, or i am spanish argentian, that doesnt exist
And you replied cause you know its true, every american tries to add something to their nationality to be exotic, like when joe rogan says he is italian thats fucking cringe

there's no actual age fraud with kids who were born in america and played at every youth level, but lots of people in sports "develop early" and have kind of older faces. I always worry about it a little after seeing bearded child alexis lafreniere in hockey be more or less the same player at 24 as he was at 17

Diminutive of Cavani
>>
He humiliated Tottenham legend Sergio Reguilón last night.
>>
>>157417105
He made a mistake signing that pre-contract with Man City
Should ban players from going to English teams

Maybe he was a super elite prospect at 14, although it’s probably fair to say he got overhyped because he’s American. But now he turns 17 in a few weeks, and he’s apparently not one of the most outstanding guys in the MLS, he’s not even close as far as I have heard. That’s not a disgrace at all, but it means numerous players of his age group are likely considerably ahead of him
Surely he can make a big jump in his development at 17, no great player is defined by how good he was at that age. But he doesn’t seem like a talent of the highest caliber to me right now. The hype probably didn’t help
>>
>>157421391
So.........they can stay in the MLS?
>>
>>157421489
Americans are desperate for a good player. Did you see all the hype around pulisic at the start of the wc? Sadly they will never produce an elite player as all their players come from faggy upper middle class backgrounds.

Yeah, it is a big advantage in sports to be an early bloomer. Or otherwise: like a fifth of professional footballers is born in January since January kids will on average be more physically developed than December kids in the same year, for example. They are playing together with slightly younger kids who are not quite as mature yet. And being 190cm and 85kg at 15 means you will automatically be superior to a kid at 165cm and 55kg, even if that kid is vastly superior to you in terms of game IQ and technique. Youth coaches also want to advance their careers, they want to win games. So they’ll usually field the big guy who can just bully the small guy away, even if the small guy actually has more promise. And getting that playtime and that scouting success means the big guy ends up a pro before the small guy can have his growth spurt and turn into the superior player
A lot of players are like that. They are still freaks of nature, they still worked hard. But they often profit from being ahead of the curve. Others who could have been better didn’t get the chance. Of course, genuine extreme talents can often make it big anyway

He looked pretty good lately since they fired the red bulls guy
