>>157435684No, we have more. Here's the entire tree. In order to not bankrupt small clubs with traveling expenses, the bottom tiers are divided into regions. On the left, you have the clubs from Buenos Aires and its surroundings and, on the right, the rest of the country. Those 332 clubs you see on the right are divided into 8 regions and the tier below has over 100 amateur leagues.

The main issue is that LigaMX always had the franchise system, so fans basically never had a say in any of the decisions the higher-ups make, not even in elections, like in other leagues.So this change was just made to protect the "inversions" they have made over the years at the expense of basically killing the minor divisions.

Real talk: the average Liga MX fan, especially fans of the top teams (America, Chivas, Cruz Azul, Pumas) doesn't give a shit about pro/rel. Add to this the fact that very few people care about the Mexican lower leagues. That's why it was easy for Liga MX to remove pro/rel in the first place. Look at how fans in Europe protested the European Super League when it was announced. Compare that to the apathy of most Liga MX fans when this was announced. Yeah, there are plenty of people that complained about this decision on social media, but people still attended and watched Liga MX games this weekend.
