A fantastic result for us yesterday, especially given that we were missing a few first-team players and haven't finished our transfer business. I just hope we can take the good start into next week's game at Coventry, given the importance of denying them points. We drew 0-0 with them twice last season, and I'd take that again in all honesty.
>>
>no, see, winning the game actually means they're bad
You'll be coping and seething for months saying that City are shit and they'll lose any day now and when they have the League Cup won, in the semi-final of FA Cup and CL and 1st in the league by 12 points you'll keep saying they're shit and play bad.

This is what they can come up with after they raid the other decent clubs in the league for anyone of value. They move for big money and then play worse, in a supposedly better team, than they did at their old clubs.
Is this it?
Are these Arsenal's contenders?
Is this the title race we have this season?
Is this the power of the so called 'big 6'?

>>
>>157463240
was trying to think of who else could have been in contention in the past, guess it was only keegan and maybe bellingham or sancho but they were up against lewadowski and such.
i looked up the list of winners and apparently the winner can either be a german playing anywhere or a foreigner playing in germany, so kroos got one with madrid when sancho was good

There have been some, not many sure, but some. Most are just crap. Keegan, Sancho (at least there), Bellingham, Kane, Woodcock and Watson are probably the best who've played there (in no particular order).

>Manchester United would have to make Lewis Hall the most expensive left-back in history to persuade Newcastle United to sell him this month. Hall remains United’s primary target for the position despite them assessing a number of alternatives, and the 21-year-old is interested in the move to Old Trafford. Newcastle head coach Matthias Jaissle does not want to lose Hall, and the club have indicated they are not looking to sell. Newcastle’s position is so firm that United would need to break the world transfer record for a left-back just to make the Magpies seriously consider an agreement. That record is currently the £68 million fee Bayern Munich paid Real Madrid for Lucas Hernandez in July 2019. United are prepared to test Newcastle’s resolve with just over a week of the window remaining, but a bid of approximately £70 million is unlikely from the Old Trafford club. A formal approach for Hall in the coming days is a possibility, as United continue to explore every option.
Lewis Hall for £70m, need it or keep it? (I never understood this saying but I'm not a 14 year old changing consumer habit on ticktock).

>A verbal agreement has been reached between Tottenham and Man City to sign Omar Marmoush. The deal is for an initial loan with a buy clause that becomes mandatory at £50m under certain conditions.
I know he's cheap to cuck Frankfurt but a loan with obligation under certain conditions? Chances he actually meets those conditions?
>>
>Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly attempting to intervene in Aston Villa's move to sign Nicolas Jackson, and have made what was described as 'direct contact' over a deal for the Chelsea forward before the transfer window closes on September 1. It is reported that Chelsea are looking to receive approximately £65m for Jackson. It is also claimed that the north London outfit are keen to understand the conditions required to complete a deal before they make another significant purchase.
Ah that explains the loan deal. Right.

That doesn't mean Liverpool weren't shit. Szoboszlai & Gravenberch might as well have been in North Shields, they were that irrelevant in the midfield. Isak is a weakminded coward who could have shut Newcastle fans up with that penalty, but didn't even attempt to take it. Both goals Liverpool conceded were from players not being arsed to chase after the Newcastle players when they were on a counter attack. You can't spin that display as Liverpool only failing because they couldn't finish.

>Manchester United confirmed today that the club’s 2025–26 season officially ended not with a whimper, but with what internal documents are calling a “low-speed, high-impact managerial collision.”
>Michael Carrick was “behind the wheel at Manchester United” when the club allegedly veered off course, clipped every tactical curb available, and ultimately crashed straight through the relegation barrier on the final day of the season.
>Club sources insist there was no single moment of failure. Instead, investigators describe a familiar chain of events:
>Early optimism during pre-season (“The engine sounds good”)
>A worrying rattle by October (“We just need more control in midfield”)
>Complete brake failure by February (“We trust the process”)
>And finally, on 24 May 2026, a full-on impact with reality.
>The crash occurred after United surrendered a 2–0 lead while attempting a bold tactical maneuver known internally as “Passing Sideways Until Something Happens.” Something did happen. It was relegation.
>Witnesses say Carrick remained calm throughout, hands firmly on the wheel, staring thoughtfully into the middle distance as the warning lights flashed:
>DEFENSIVE STRUCTURE: OFF
>GOAL DIFFERENCE: CRITICAL
>AURA: LOST
>In a post-match statement, Carrick reportedly said:
>“I take responsibility. The lads gave everything. Unfortunately, the steering was vague, the midfield gearbox jammed, and we seem to have driven directly into the Championship.”
>The club has since launched a “full review,” which includes checking the mirrors, consulting the satnav, and asking Sir Alex Ferguson where things went wrong—again.
>Fans have responded with a mixture of disbelief, gallows humor, and renewed interest in midweek trips to Rotherham.
>Manchester United expect to bounce back, noting that while this was a crash, it was technically a rebuildable one—assuming the club can find a new driver, a new map, and possibly an entirely different vehicle.

I mean to be fair, he's probably right. Villa beat Arsenal last year, Arsenal's best players are injured or tired, new signings are injured and they STILL don't have a proper striker. Despite the Coventry game they only scored three due to two GK mistakes, Suzuki/Martinez won't make those and Kamara is a great midfielder (dunno if Manzambi is back). Brighton were at home and shocked Villa so Good Ebeneing will batter Arsenal and we'll all be going on about how 'it's anybody's title this season'.

>>157471167
No, it's because they were some of the biggest signings in the PL and both are first team players and both were expected to put Liverpool back on the map, and both have been extremely poor and not worth it. It's about these two being crap, not about Liverpool, the club doesn't matter.

Is and isn't really, a lot of that is contained to certain areas. I think I'd rather live in a city with prominent gayness than other prominent "marginalised groups". It is a bit champagne socialist but it's nice being in a place I don't really have to worry about street crime or no go areas. Also nice having the sea nearby, great place to bring up a family.

Weirdly the club have been trying to embrace the city's gayness as part of the DEI and community outreach stuff locally without much effect. The gay women go to the women's matches in Crawley but there's not much traction with the main team.
So much so there's a local non league side that the LGBT community go to support instead of BHA.

Injuries on and off, apparently it's a recurring back issue. I think he'll come into more of a central position this season of that carries on. One of the biggest positive changes at the club in the last few years is developing the medical and conditioning team. He'll come back strong.

Manchester United are confident of persuading Arsenal to sell England's Myles Lewis-Skelly, 19, although the asking price of more than £50m remains a sticking point in a deal for the player who can play left-back and midfield.
In this market he's worth at least £70m. Arsenal would be retarded to accept £50m without like 40% sell on.
>>
>>157474412
Would be a very good signing for them. The exact profile of player they need, a total roid manlet bruiser
>>
>>157474412
Can't see a chance he moves unless it is for £70m+, English tax as well
>>
>>157474429
English tax, home grown tax, international tax, rival tax, premier league proven tax, premier league player tax. If Baleba is £70m then MLS is £70m, minimum. But Arsenal would be retarded to sell a utility player. But then again... It's Arsenal, who are one of the worst sellers in the league.
>>
It's remarkable how Chelsea still look 3 signings away from competing

United have a strong media presence that allows them to control the narrative. You say it's £50m and that's what people think. It was £70m a few weeks ago iirc.
>>
Chelsea sign a GK and they'll unironically win the league. Rogers a steal for £117m, goal on debut. Lacroix gets an assist, strong performance. Palmer back to his GOAT self. With one game a week, we'll be challenging easily and will win it if we replace Shitchez.

The reason most don't like the Brightonfag is because he's a bit like an Arsenal fan. He's built up in his own mind how everyone is against the club and he's rocking the established apple cart. He's two of the worst fanbases personified without his club having any real history to back it up.

I hate that. I don't mind too much if they own like a UEFA team and a CONMEBOL one, although even that has it's downsides, because they won't mean in anything other than the CWC. But when RB X and RB Y met in Europe the cope for why it was fine was insulting.
Owning more than one club will always be dual-citizenish though.
