It's been more than a month and I still can't get over this match. It's not that England lost, I actually predicted that Argentina would win, but I didn't expect England to just throw like that. Even worse that it was on the same day I got rejected from my dream job lmao

We also raped you in hockey 3-1 like a week ago and we maybe will reach that final too
England didnt throwed anything we would of won whatever you did, you acted like you dominated the first half while in reality the gordon goal was england first shot of the game

Dreamjob, you can not lose what you do not have, handle the rejection maybe you wanted it but logically you didnt lost anything you went to the interview without that job and left the same, you could only influence the decision, but it is beyond you if you get or dont get the job

Exactly, and let in more illegals mashallah

nobody really talks about this but I think 2018-2026 england is actually more embarrassing than the one from the previous period. Over the past 10 years or so almost EVERY international side is dogshit, with 3-4 exceptions. England have no excuse not to be in the final every time
>>
>>157517865
Don't worry. Tuchel got to keep the job.

Do to this match Trump will end up supporting giving las Malvinas to Argentina

International football is terrible in general. I can excuse the Euro final defeat to Spain, the only competent national team at the moment (and they could still improve), but the Italy one was the real choke. I don't think anyone has impressed me since the German machine steamrollered everyone at the 2014 WC

Pedro, I know you hate the English because we stole some islands from you or something, but at least learn the language before you post on an English language board. When I say we threw, I didn't mean that we would've won if we hadn't, I meant that we didn't even try. That is what upsets me, not England's loss (as I said before, I knew Argentina would win)
>>
I think it 100% exemplified how "wanting it more" is more than a throwaway meme in sport.

With international football, if you are a passionate nationalist you will inevitably "want it more". Argentinians are more desperate to win for Argentina, especially against England, than English players are, especially against Argentina.

I have no clue if there are any Argentinians in the EFL, but I guarantee they'd play like Champions League winners if they were selected to play for Argentina against England.

Hard to be disappointed when it always happens

I read on another post here that the bus parking wasn't Tuchel's doing but the players who wanted to play defensively, whereas Tuchel actually wanted them to be more aggressive. It made sense to me since Tuchel had been getting them to play a lot more aggressively than they had been in the past, especially under Southgate, so why would he revert back to Southgate-era tactics (but far worse) in what was England's most important match at that point? But I still didn't understand why the players wanted to go for such an objectively bad tactic against their coach's instruction and versus a team who specializes in that exact tactic.

This makes sense to me though. What probably happened was that England players had been Pavlovian conditioned to give up whenever they see Messi and the Argentine jerseys (they were literally wearing the same jerseys as the match where Maradonna's hand of god goal happened).

Wasn’t this the first time Messi had ever played England? Also, just how old do you think England’s players are? Some of them will have parents who are too young to remember the Hand of God (and also, probably didn’t watch the match because they lived in a hut in Nigeria with no electricity at the time).

Idk I just assumed that being such a defining moment it would be in every England football player and fan's psyche

He tanked a WC semifinal
>>
>>157519369

if you still give a fuck about Maradona in 2026 you have no hope of ever winning anything
>>
>>157517930
Don't be so cocky loserboy, I'm sure that England would had played a better final than what you did.
>>
>>157522845
Yet you only scored one goal against 10 players from which the majority were trash the whole tourny. That just talks shit about your team and playstyle.

A win is a win

Italia 90 was full of it, and Denmark did it so well in Euro 92 that they had to change the rules to make it harder to do.

Just attend to a local game and boo whatever Argie player is there to blow off some steam.
