Tottenham Hotspur are looking like relegation candidates after just two games. I remind you that this is one of the richest clubs in the world thanks to their big new stadium in North London which hosts massive gigs and NFL games which produce a revenue stream only a handful of other clubs in the world can dream of. They are one of the Big Six - the cartel clubs who get whatever they want from the FA, from match officials etc, all rules bent in their favour and any potential challengers like Villa and Newcastle crushed by SCR rules. What happens if they go down? Will their home games against the likes of Lincoln City, Stoke, Wrexham etc be regarded as a dead loss and an impediment to money-making operations? Could they possibly get booted out of their own stadium as an irrelevant and unprofitable sideline? Has anything like this ever happened before?

if clubs like Juve and Schalke can survive relegation i dont see why spuds shouldnt

Spurs will go down and come back up the next season like nothing happened. Its only funny to think about a big club like that going down for the spectacle. In the end it doesn't even matter.

Relegation is so fucking dumb. Imagine spending so much money building up your club with new stadiums, players, and facilities and then risk losing it all because of a bad season. How is this supposed to attract investors? MLS can't rise fast enough.

>What happens if they go down?
Nothing. They will have tons of money left because of their global bandwagon audience and parachute programs. They might lose ground compared to other bigwig clubs for a while, but they'd be in the pole position regarding getting promoted again right away, and they'd be good again within merely a few years as soon as they stop being retarded. As opposed to various other clubs that have been doing a good job for many years but cannot count on 1000000 Indians watching. They'd have to be super retarded for at least 10 years to actually suffer long-term damage
>Will their home games against the likes of Lincoln City, Stoke, Wrexham etc be regarded as a dead loss and an impediment to money-making operations?
Depends on how the bandwagoners behave in such a situation. Surely there'll still be enough drones attending, and the genuine fans, of course. At first at least. They'd make less money, but still enough. They don't only depend on the actual game attendance anyway
>ould they possibly get booted out of their own stadium as an irrelevant and unprofitable sideline?
Why? They own that stadium. I don't see how this could happen unless they actually go broke (which is a long road away) and cannot afford the stadium's maintenance cost anymore. Wholly unrealistic
Tottenham are a very frustrating club. I'm not saying they're small, but they sure as hell are not as big as their finances and some media institutions imply. And they are hilariously incompetent, worthy of relegation. But: nothing ever happens. As with all "big" PL clubs, they just need to get lucky once and suddenly they're on the up again and everyone will wank them off

They could turn into a sporadic yo yo club like west ham

Have you seen how they're doing in the Championship now? It's over
