Brits, is Fulham really the posh/rich area of London that don’t actually care about soccer and are just doing for a day out? I’ve seen so many joke about Fulham hooligans most aggressive tactic being writing strongly worded letter and throwing the cheese from their cheese board

Fulham, Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth are non-clubs who have ascended because their location (in London or in pleasant towns close to London) attracts foreign players and foreign investment.

Their proximity to Chelsea means they have always had to compete for fans. Back in the 70's and 80's, Chelsea were notorious for hooliganism. Fulham, on the other hand, have always been the 'Family Club'. It's a very polite experience to go there. Until recently, it was the only place in the country where home and away fans would sit side-by-side. Craven Cottage is also an historic stadium, one of Archibald Leitch's designs and having some of the original wooden seats from 1905 (these are Grade II listed).I've only been once and luckily my club, Hull City, scored a last minute winner in a 1-0 victory, but it's a fantastic little ground and I'd recommend a trip for any true football fan.>pic not related

>>157548319I went to a very presitigious boys school outside London in the 90s. Most of the students that were into football were Fulham fans and it was a very small percentage into football. In our monthly weekend home they would always brag about how they went to watch Fulham games because their parents could afford the tickets there at time. It wasn't that Craven Cottage was exclusive for the upper middle class it was more like it was unique because there was never thuggery. Their neighbors about a kilometer away Chelsea too had the same sentiment.

He was in contention for the Ballon d'Or despite them being newly-promoted and ending up in mid-table. He got about sixty England caps too, but always remained loyal to Fulham.Beyond that, they were runners-up in the FA Cup in 1975 and then the Europa League in 2010. That's about it for them.
