Also, I heard the other day Brits used to call the city some funny name that has nothing to do with its regular Gallician/Castillian name lmao

La Coruña is Castillian, what you guys know as Spanish. A Coruña is Gallician. A Corunha is Portuguese, although i think some Gallicians also write it like that.

This is what the Spanish government claimed to have done in Ceuta. And of course they LIED. And are setting up the invasion camps for Muslims
>>
>>157553271
It's called Real Club Deportivo de A Coruña which is the same but with the city name in Galician, yes swapping A for LA triggers regionalists autists just like in Catalonia they lose their shit if you call Girona, Gerona
This is what decentralization does to a bunch of retards

How easy is it for a Spaniard to understand the other languages of Spain? Are they all (except Basque) just like Spanish with an accent, or are they mad shit like Welsh and Cornish and Gaelic?
>>
>>157561583
I can tell you Gallician is Portuguese with an accent
And lots of Xs for some reason
And they still day Pero
>>
>>157561583
Catalan and Galician are as close to Spanish as italian and Portuguese, which means any smart enough Spanish only speaker with no knowledge of those languages will understand around 3/4 of it as long as it's not some deep rural accent, so you will be able to communicate, for written 90% easily
But I speak Catalan and understand Galician due to my family being from there so might not be the best person to answer

I'm mexican and understand can galician just fine and its easy to hear the portuguese influence. Asturian is also really easy to understand. Catalan atleast to me is harder to understand, it's kinda like italian where some sentences are familiar enough and you can understand the idea they are talking about but sometimes I have a hard time understanding it. Basque is completely alien.
