That's so true, kek. I see roided giants all the time at the gym, yet the best feats of functional strength I've seen were done by random 40-year-old pedreiros. Very apparent when your country has a gym/steroid culture, but still relies on manual labor.

I thought thor's strapless

Yup in my area I’ve seen 70 year old Punjabi men doing hard construction. Farmers strength is real.
Like you said there are big roid monsters having hard time working a warehouse job or pulling a bow string

Strength is neurological and dad strength does exist
Fuvking injuries and recovery is the issue

Rural cowboy farmer types are our version of this; rail-thin but strong as an ox. I'm convinced the muscle-strength correlation is an illusion.

Almost like technique is a relevant factor when applying physics
>>
>>157631324
What is the point of your post? If you aren't strong enough to lift something then technique is useless.

I once went for a massage(no happy ending legit) and this old Chinese lady that did the job for 30 years had the craziest fucking grip and really dig into my muscles
>>157631244
Crazy like those wiry Pashtun heardsmen. i picture American farmer strength as a big stocky guy. Sorta like a strongman .
Don’t know how heavy bales of hay is but can’t argue with the results

they all use straps

I’d be happy to have the strength to bench 3pl8

Technique makes things easier to do anon that's the whole point of a technique

I guess we are a strongman nation now

There are men in Indonesia that weight 50 kilos and that only eat rice that carry 30 kilos of sulphur from a volcano to their village ( 10 kilometers upwards mud path) daily. Functional strength built on long routines moggs going to the gym 2 hours a day with half the time resting full of roids

This is a 2000s forum era cope.
Bodybuilders might not perform as well as youd expect them to in long effort work, compared to a guy whos been doing that job for years and who carries less mass and whose nervous systems and tendons became entirely optimized for that task, but that’s not a fair assessment of strength.
The weakest IFBB finalist would outlift your "functional strength" brick layer uncle on literally any lift for anything below 50 reps ( very generous estimate ).

I still can't forgive him for what he did to Larry Wheels
