Lots of elements under review but I really enjoyed Noemi Joos program. Maybe because of the better music. Outfit and the choreography fit it well too. Oh, she danced tango in the past, no wonder.

The girl who's on the thumbnail of the stream btw is the FR champion Stefania Gladki, in 7th place after SP. She danced well, I hope she manages to skate clean. Can't hope to compete with Asians but would be nice to have an European in high ranks. She's cute too.

Dibbern going to lead for now it seems. I wish the commentators stopped with claiming a skate was "clean"" when it wasn't.

Uwah, Inga kinda collapsed. Maybe double dipping into juniors and seniors wasn't a good decision. Focus on one. She does have talent and I enjoy this more mature style of program but it needs more polish.

Oh, the music started matching her cheery bright yellow outfit in the second half, after 2:18. It was such a snoozefest in the first half. I think this happy style suits her a lot better, wish the whole thing was similar. Well deserved lead (for now).

Ahhh, it didn't go well :(
Chen Xi Jin was tense at start, artistry only showed properly later on - and turns out cats don't always land safely.
The spins were so good though, keeping up with the speed of the music. She's clearly very flexible and talented, there's great potential in her (the youngest girl in this competition!). I hope she continues working on this program because it could be something outstanding if mistakes get eliminated and choreo gets improved. I gladly welcome the Chinese if they're going to send such athletes. Sad that she had to sit alone in kiss & cry because her coach is also in charge of the skater immediately after her.

Great showing after her compatriot underperformed. CN skaters aren't quite at the level of KR/JP yet but they are going in the right direction for sure. They might become another powerhouse in a couple of years.

Scary thing is, in seniors, Mao Shimada is way stronger than her. There's also Ami Nakai and Mone Chiba (hope she recovers from her injury). Sumika Kanazawa in juniors is only a bit behind Mei too. Japan is stacked.

Test skates of the Russian national team — a traditional event at the beginning of the season, at which skaters present new programs to judges and experts.

In the 2026/27 season, some Russian figure skaters performed at challenger series tournaments and they won medals (and the right to compete in international Grand Prix series). Now their new productions will be seen by Russian audiences.

Since the 2015/16 season, screenings have been held in the presence of spectators, and since 2019 they have been shown live on Channel One.

In fact, test skates — are the only opportunity to see all members of the Russian national team, reserves and other promising skaters on one site.
