American Football has had it's cultural moment in Europe and now I think it's over.They're actually playing over here too often whilst setting ridiculous ticket prices (unfortunately a phenomenon we are increasingly seeing in the UK is the importing of US £200+ tickets to megatours and big events)And whilst yesterday at Wembley was a college football game, it was quite grim how empty it was. You can get Londoners to turn up to anything, they're mostly a detached set of renters living through consumed experiences.No chance of an NFL team ever.
There was a brief moment of the transition ftom rugby to nfl where they couldnt foward pass, the scrimmage line formed after every tackle in place like a rugby ruck so most plays where running and backward passes without many breaksHonestly things would be different if we just thought of it as their version of rugby but its too different now and too many ads
