Why did this sport fail to capture the attention of zoomers?
Watching a game of baseball asks of its viewers that they find something besides the game to entertain themselves, because so often nothing is happening (vs. divegrass, apehoop), or the plays that do happen aren't all that high-octane (vs. handegg)What that means is you have to have friends or else have interesting thoughts about the thing you're watching, which is hard to find in the mind of someone who's both a sports fan and a zoomertl;dr: the game as a spectator sport is too high IQ for the vast majority of people born after roughly the year 2000

Baseball’s biggest selling point is the giga-autism of memorising the statistics and records. No other sport on the planet can match baseball for autism. Because all zoomers everywhere have autism, autism is no longer special, and that means baseball has paradoxically lost its target audience.
