Realistically the only punishment they will get is a points deductions:
>Limited guilty verdict if successful on appeal: 15-30 points applicable to the 26/27 season or the 27/28 season
>Large majority verdict if apepal is unsuccessful: 40-60 points this season or next (this is most likely but i'll estimate 55 points)
>Almost everything proven: 60-80+ points relegation pretty much guaranteed

You're mad if you think there aren't ramifications for seasons after that. They signed players in that period who played on for years. Liverpool dicked out of league titles as well.
Kompany only even has a career thanks to City's cheating.

The charges are officially at 130. It was 115 then 15 additional were added after City refused to send over any paperwork (all the whole briefing in the press they were helping at every stage).
>>
>£10.000 fine and a retroactive point deduction for some season that has them retain the title anyway
>>
>>157892597
doesn't really matter, city are too rich and powerful, literally owned by a state, and the charges haven't been confirmed by PL or city yet and 114/115 guilty makes zero sense because there are 130 total charges, I don't think the story is right
>>
it's taken 7 years since first being announced to get to this point, this isn't just going to be a slap on the wrist. In that time multiple clubs have been heavily fined, deducted points for a fraction of the charges. City aren't some titan of the game they're an abu dhabi skin suit

Well, one could argue that all post cheating era trophies are null and void as well. I don't care, but to claim that City are not in the position they are due to a foundation of objective and widespread long term cheating is false. If City didn't cheat then they probably would not be where they are now. They cheated, so you have to apply logic to that they won't be able to compete as well as they have. There was a reason they spent huge sums this window, because if they get a window ban (they won't get any major punishment) they have quality players to cover it.

Furthermore, Spurs getting a title given to them because of this would be fucking hilarious. Liverpool at least won titles off their own back.

Every player that has played under pep guardiola has taken performance enhancing drugs.

Spanish authorities’ investigations uncovered a shockingly wide doping network around Eufemiano Fuentes. The evidence implicated most of Europe’s leading cyclists, but people weren’t overly shocked at the confirmation of something that most suspected anyway. The most compelling evidence produced by Operacion Puerto suggested that it wasn’t just cyclists but footballers who were “treated” by Fuentes. This was of course around the time when Spanish teams and athletes had started to dominate their respective fields. Fuentes has admitted in the past he worked with Guardiola. He is also alleged to have said “If I would talk, the Spanish football team would be stripped of the 2010 World Cup”

With the nandrolone (an anabolic steroid) scandals of the early 2000s, where multiple bans were handed down to Guardiola. Guardiola was playing at Brescia at the time, where his club doctor was Ramon Segura – the same Segura who worked for Pep during his highly successful spell managing Barcelona.

3 doctors who worked with Lance Armstrong’s US Postal cycling team received lifetime bans from sport for providing athletes with EPO, blood transfusions andmasking agents. One of cycling’s most famous ‘doping doctors’, Luis del Moral is also working with Guardiola under the guise of “medical advisor”. FC Barcelona haven’t made a statement on del Moral’s ban, which prohibits him from working in any sport which has signed up to the WADA code of conduct. It would be interesting to hear why they employed del Moral and what his specific role was within the team

Burnley got £40m because Everton broke rules and burnley got relegated.

United, liverpool, arsenal and spurs all filed legal notices in 2024 to city.

They can now all sue for £100m+ each for the lost revenue due to missing out on CL, winning league etc
>>
>>157893188
That's not it at all, anon. At least 12 of the charges are for failing to adhere to FFP rules and PSR rules. Everton got a 12pt deduction for breaking two of those. So, City have x6 (SIX) times as many charges. So that should be 72pt deduction, if we're being 'fair and equal'. They then got 35 charges for failing to actually comply with the investigation. So they knew they were cheating and refused to admit it. The rest being their failure to 'show us your books' means they were hiding something and if you think scores of charges being found guilty will result in a fine, again, you're retarded.

If nothing comes of this, there will be riots. So I suspect a 40pt deduction (appealed to 12pts) and £50m fine (appealed to £15m) and 5 year transfer ban (appealed to 18 months with rest suspended). That keeps City in the PL and they can claim they were 'hard on cheaters'.

>>157893231
Mate, Everton got a 12pt deduction for two charges. City have 114. If you think it's going to be a small points deduction, you're retarded. Nobody in the footballing world would accept that.

The number one lesson to be learned from this is that the powers that be will NEVER again allow a challenger to try and replace the elite redshirt clubs (Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool) at the top of English football.

They invented a political excuse to destroy Chelsea by removing Abramovich, are going to drop a nuclear bomb on Man City over this, and the rules they have set in place ensure with 100% certainty that any other "new money" teams like Newcastle or Aston Villa will never be able to break into the title-winners club like City and Chelsea did in the 2000s and 2010s.

We will look back on this as the moment when England officially became a league akin to Spain or Scotland, where you simply have two or three teams (in this case Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool) who are the only ones with the means to ever win titles, and every other club are merely also-rans.

Is this really what neutral fans wanted?

I don't really care about the facts of what rules were broken, because I believe the whole rules were a sham to begin with. They were invented to ensure the traditional big clubs stay big, and smaller clubs stay small. They were a reactionary attempt to stop what Abramovich did starting in 2003 from happening again.

You can be against "oil money" if you like but the facts are that without that money being invested into the game, we would be looking back at 30+ years of nothing but Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool winning titles. Do not bring up Leicester because they, too, won their title in 2016 due to foreign investment.

You have to understand that if you want to destroy clubs like City and Chelsea then the end result is England becoming a totally non-competitive league where the rich get richer indefinitely and nobody can ever again earn a seat at the top table.

1bajillion Points deduction, they basically have to accept them (CAS would likely force it).Not impossible they then impose their own points deductions though.

Straight expulsion from the EPL? They go to the bottle of the ladder by default and the EFL would actually need to specifically accept them (with most of the championship objecting to it).

If it were up to me I'd pretty much have it be a free for all. It's best in the interests of competition. >If these Arabs have the money to spend, who cares if they aren't profitable? From a political standpoint, it seems completely retarded for the UK to reject such huge investment in their country.
There is a very retarded element of English footballing culture where a very large segment of fans in this country believe that you should have to be a club with a "history of winning titles" or else its unfair for you to win too many titles in the present.

The sad thing it isn't just redshirt fans who go along with it, you'll find random supporters of clubs like Brentford or Sunderland who will unironically support Arsenal or Liverpool to win the league over City because "Arsenal/Liverpool have history".

It's a very cucked mentality. Just look at the insults they have thrown at City over the years. Saying they have "no fans" purely because they don't have bandwagoners that come from Birmingham or South London like Man Utd do. But if you went back in time to 2007, these exact same fans would've praised City for being "the proper club of Manchester" and directed their hate at Utd instead. It's only when City got "too big for their own boots" that everybody goes vile and tries to tear them and their fans down.

The message given is: "If you stay a small club and don't threaten anybody we will love you, but don't you DARE try to take titles away from their RIGHTFUL owners that play in red, or else we'll destroy you."

city would destroy all lower league teams. imagine the over 3.5 goals betting opportunities
>>
They are going down to the Championship and will get promoted with 120 points
>>
The sad truth of the matter is that only the American-owned EPL teams are honest and upstanding. Everyone else is corrupt.

I wouldn't be surprised is this has already been agreed.

The most fitting punishment is swapping the squads of Manchester city and Manchester United.

at least that would mean that wanker would finally get a hair cut
>>
It's looking more and more like they genuinely will be relegated. Not sure about the titles or any of that.

They won, and you're cheering
>>
Retroactive titles don't work. Literally no one actually accepts them as real. It's not really possible as a punishment.

City isn't a product like Madrid or Barca, in terms you understand they're the Cleveland Browns that won the ghetto lottery and pretend to be a big team. Even if they win something, nobody really cares.

they seem to be a team that no one really cares if they win because as long as utd, liverpool, Arsenal, chelsea etc etc are not winning then it's stopping those teams adding titles. People are talking about titles stripped away, asterisk on the titles. But the same can be said if the teams that could benefit just as equally have an asterix on any title gained - no one will ever see them as titles actually won, just gained through citeh's own blunders. This should have all been sorted years ago anyway and that is where a lot of the blame lies. It's like a criminal continuing crimes whilst the cops and others sitting back and turning a blind eye.

might well call them Bury AFC because they about to get buried in the lower levels of the pyramid LMFAO.

The issue is City were purposely delaying the proceedings as long as they could and hoping the PL would give up or run out of money or make a mistake during litigation to have it thrown out.

For example, City recommended one of the KCs to be on the panel, then waited until the deadline of raising any grievance with the panel. Then on the final day, they raised a grievance to get the KC they'd recommended thrown off the panel because they said he'd be biased against City

Kind of derails any decent points you might have made about anything. Fuck off and go be a chelsea supporting nog somewhere else

give it a fucking rest, half the city are NOT man city fans, Burnham doesn't give a flying fuck anyway because he's an Everton fan, he doubly doesn't give a fuck because he's no longer the Mayor of Manchester. And Manchester will absolutely always vote for labour no matter who's in charge
>>
>>157896838
they should not be suing citeh, they should be suing the PL and they even admit it by saying more should have been done. That's down to the PL not the criminal. Citeh are going to be kicked out the football league probably and face massive fines and they will have to move out of the stadium and sell all the players. The massive delay in doing all this - even for this season means the PL have gained finically by having citeh and the players and the monies being brought in. Leicester were badly run and their own incompetence after being gifted the title in 2016 shows how swiftly they fell off even if they are a small club that managed to win despite the odds due to how shit of a season that was with regard to quality.

yes but the PL control things and if they are being bossed around by moneybags citeh run by dodgy arabs then that is down to the PL either being corrupt themselves or being weak. We already know other teams were hit straightaway with far more minor stuff than what citeh have done. So really the PL needs suing, they gained from citeh being in the PL when really citeh should have been kicked out or docked points straightaway.

Thirdies just want to chase glory - PSG rule the roost in France and the champions league wins have sealed the deal.

Their branding is on point and everywhere - they have a fucking shop on Oxford street ffs
>>
>>157896847
Yeah it's a shitshow but oh well that's what we got now. You can't fix it and nobody cares about the asterisk titles but at least we can hope that they will now act faster on that shittery.
>>
>>157893940
I don't care about dodgy money coming into the game to "improve" things. This is why citeh have been let off the hook for so long, all that money being brought in and now deemed dodgy and basically illegal. The PL's brand is on the line now, everything that citeh did has been to benefit the PL and make it the richest in the world and now it's being brought down to earth. Without that oil money would others have had to bring in such money? Probably not, but why exactly is that a bad thing, buying titles is never good anyway
>>
>>157895479
yeah, it's only slightly less retarded than /pol/, slightly...
>>
>>157896939
The PL did not control things, the body making the decision was entirely independent.

This is also why city cant appeal to CAS, and the appeal goes through the PL system

The PL were the ones to refer it to a independent body to look at. The problem tho is the PL knew about this shit for years before and did nothing because citeh were bringing the money in. This could have been sorted years ago, all it took was a few brown envelops from the arabs to the PL to keep it going as long as it did. Of course what will happen is the arabs will simply pack up everything and walk away, citeh might well not even exist and would have to restart as a new club in the lower leagues.

The part people arent talking about is that this basically confirms city were cooking the books.

A business submitting fraudulent accounts is a pretty serious crime, and the auditors who signed them off will be in for some questions too
