Its hard to judge because panama doesn't get to play the rest of concacaf as often these day aside from the gold cup and qualifiers and when they do play the rest of concacaf in nations league its always costa rica but I think haiti look better than panama do at the moment. We wont know for sure until the quarter finals though. Haiti also had a harder group in qualifiers

Our midfield is bad and even they somehow had enough space to be passing around guatemala in the second half and suriname have much better forwards and midfielders who can exploit that. They usually call up players that leave the league early on. Its very rear that someone over the age of 25 still playing locally ever gets called up. We have a pretty decent high school football system so stand out players from there usually attract the attention of top jpl clubs and they end up playing a season or 2 before going abroad. Some make it some don't and immediately come back year after and are either stuck in the jpl after failing abroad or stuck in a weird limbo of journeying all over the world so micro leagues or usl for 1 season. Our most successful exports last cycle were king, whisper, cephas and dixon. Whisper seemed to have the most promise he went straight from schoolboy football to chelsea but he got stuck in under 20s and then in injury hell before now being stuck in loan and injury hell. He's only 20 though so he's still got time. There's also Parris who went to europe in 2020 and stayed there but rarely ever gets called up, he's the winger for Sabah
