It is the European Open, taking place over 3 days (18-20 June) in Salzburg. Although the format has not yet been announced, it is assumed to be the continental equivalent of the UK Open. There will also be a first ever European Tour event in France, in the north-eastern town of Liévin.European events themselves are also getting an expansion: https://www.pdc.tv/news/2026/september/25/major-expansion-announced-for-pdc-european-events-in-2027/The 2027 European Championship will now reflect the Euro Tour and feature 48 players, with the tournament itself expanded to cover six days. Another tournament that's been expanded (although not officially announced by the PDC, but confirmed by PDC CEO Matt Porter on The Darts Show Podcast) is the Players Championship Finals, which will also reflect the Players Championship events and double to a field of 128 with a multi-board system in play. Why they've turned the PCFs into a seeded equivalent of the UK Open, I don't know.
