I'm sure this season in the Saudi joke league he'll get the 1000, or close. Even if he leaves, without hitting it, he'll turn up in another random league for a season to finish the job, maybe the Chinese league or something similar will wheel him out for the last few.

He scored 30 last season and he only has 21 to go, so it feasible. He can always go play in mexico or Brazil for half a season, Ney style, if he needs a few more. Or I'm sure sporting would sub him in for some early round domestic cup matches
