Are we ready to talk about how my UCLA bruins are legitimate contenders? (ignore our QB situation)
>>
>>158141113
Is that real
>>
>>158141119
UCLA is not a legitimate contender, but given their schedule they have a good chance of frauding their way to a playoff bid like A&M last year. Sharty, Nevada, Minnesota and Illinois are all terrible. I'm not sure if Wisconsin is decent or if they're just feasting on shit teams since getting BTFO by Notre Dame in week 1. Michigan isn't very good but if the game is a retarded slop fest like UCLA's game at Oregon that's their recipe to win. USC is the best team left on the schedule. Maybe they're checked out and spiraling when they play UCLA or maybe it's a CFP play in game.

Chesney looks like the real deal. If UCLA can keep him and get some NILbux they'll be legit contenders in a couple years.

The thing about teams like Texas, Alabama, and LSU losing is that it cheapens losses. If everybody has a loss then your team's loss won't hurt you as much when it comes time to decide who gets a playoff nod.

>Texas A&M coach Mike Elko fired a shot at a popular fan site after the Aggies’ 27-6 road loss to Missouri on Saturday, calling /cfb/ a “cesspool” after A&M’s third loss in four games.
>Asked what his message would be to fans losing faith in his program, Elko said it depended on the fans, and criticized the users of the fan site owned by Gookmoot.
>“There’s a difference to me between the fan base and social media. So there’s one group that I really don’t care much about. Gookmoot's cesspool can go be Gookmoot's cesspool,” Elko said after A&M dropped to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in SEC play.

Absolutely not. They likely don't even know this site exists. 4chans reputation of being the dregs of the internet is not unfounded, and besides, most social media is anonymous these days besides instagram. Unless it's a content creator, I haven't seen a twitter account with an actual person using their real name and photo in like a decade. So the average person would sooner go to twitter than they would 4chan, it's just a better more active version.

money my friend. more money is being pumped into the game, so the little hats organize to get their cut of the money and direct the narrative to their interests.

10-2 should most likely get you in if you're in the SEC or B1G.
>>
>>158143540
say you are playing a game like chess and you are clearly stronger. the game would be over without even playing and you could play blind and still win, now imagine someone your level its a struggle and one mistake will cost you. I get its embedded in the algorithm, but no one cares about beating retard tech by 700 compared to idk 21 or something but power ratings wont stop giving them power points. So teams like nd are playing little league teams and getting more power points than georgia well not georgia but in all likelihood they will be ranked ahead of indiana for going on the road to the 1997 champions

Four of his six seasons at Ole Miss had double digit number of wins. That's the same number as they had between 1962 and when he became their coach. He took them to the post season each year. If you exclude the year of vacated wins under Hugh Freeze, the last time they finished in the top ten without Kiffin was 1963. It was a woefully meh program in almost every way. Their only bit of success between the mid 1960s and hiring Lane was Hugh Freeze's cheating seasons, which got vacated. Ole Miss has never been in the SEC Championship Game.

mike leach is a bad example. he was an elite coach. he had texas tech in the top 5 before NIL. had craig james' bitchboy kid not gotten him fired he probably never leaves texas tech and may not have even died. he could be running the purest form of the air raid possible with a $40 million roster right now.

he had wazzu consistently winning. he was turning around Mississippi state. he wasn't taken seriously for years because of the air raid and he never got to live to see its complete dominance of both college and nfl offenses despite being one of its architects.

As for face of college football, he's from Louisville so I hope he's like the Indiana guy and takes a big contract to stay at Kentucky, but if you look at Nashville, that's right there in Will Stein's home region (Louisville). The Tennessee Titans should boot Salah and replace him with Stein and keep Stein at least until he develops you a franchise QB. Or you get Stein and keep Salah, and do a co-head coach situation like the Vikings do
>>
>>158146775
Stein has never been in the NFL as a player or coach. Would be an absolute stupid hire by the Titans.

There is no such thing as a stupid hire for the Titans. They literally have nothing to lose. The other day I saw someone point out the Titans are the perfect Madden team. No history no culture no anything, so perfect to customize how you please

It's the perfect place for Will Stein. If you look at the NFL today's, it's all young coaches with little NFL experience that are dominating the NFL

Including former Kentucky coaches like Coen who was awesome for Bucs then Jags took a shot on him and he immediately made TLaw into what he was supposed to be

That was a smart gamble by the Jags and Titans have nothing to lose

Ohio State might sneak in at 20th or so
>>
Why does college football fall victim to recency bias so hard compared to other sports. Through the course of this year Florida was loosely compared to 2019 LSU after beating Ole Miss, Matt Campbell beat up on some G6 teams and Penn State "made the right hire", but now Penn State is pining for Bob Chesney, Arch has ebbed and flowed from #1 pick to table scraps, this is Will Stein's week to shine, so I bet they lay a big stink vs. Oklahoma next week. There are many more examples. I think college football is starting to look more and more like the NFL and the media and fans haven't shifted yet and still hold onto to these hot takes that flame out very quickly. Outside of Ohio State, Georgia and Miami there are about 40 teams who are kind of shitted together and could beat each other on any given Saturday. Maybe that's the way it's always been, but it feels like there are more teams in the "middle class" than ever before. What do you think anon?
>>
>>158146968
Coen was in the NFL (on McVay's offensive staff) before he was at Kentucky. Titans best bet is to get some retread who can get them to .500 because they know how to run a semi functional NFL program. I'm not saying Mike Tomlin, but someone with his profile.

>Why does college football fall victim to recency bias so hard compared to other sports.
You don't understand what this means

>Through the course of this year Florida was loosely compared to 2019 LSU after beating Ole Miss
Florida's coach was one of the best coaches in the nation for the last several years. He's only been down since Ole Miss (Mizzou, SC)

Matt Campbell beat up on some G6 teams and Penn State "made the right hire", but now Penn State is pining for Bob Chesney
>Campbell was one of the best coaches in the nation for a long time, a Unanimous great hire even by the people that shit on PSU. But now he sucked because of the last couple weeks?

>Arch has ebbed and flowed from #1 pick to table scraps,
Arch is difficult because QBs are so hit or miss and dependant on situations they land in, but Arch is also one being pooped on for recency bias. He was looking great a lot yesterday too

>this is Will Stein's week to shine, so I bet they lay a big stink vs. Oklahoma next week.
No that was 2ndH vs Bana and the game he L after upsetting aTm.

>There are many more examples.

A) For ND, Wisconsin is better than they're being given credit. For Miami, they beat Wake Forest and Clemson. It's insane that Wake isn't ranked, they have the same record to date as Ohio State and Tennessee, and both of those teams are top 15. Clemson has lost to top 10 teams, and will now probably win out.
B) If you have watched either of these teams play, and genuinely walked away from the experience concluding that neither of them should be near the top 5, you are a blithering fucking retard. They are both legit, and Miami might be back in the title game for a second straight year.

reminder! there is only one poll release that matters. that is the final cfp poll that decides the playoff order. the ap and coaches poll do not matter. they decide nothing. they're just opinions by journalism majors who never took a snap and SID employees who run it by the coach before sending it in. we're half way through the season. there are still roughly 400 games left to be played, not counting the conference championship games.

>but...but....anon the ap and coach polls influence the cfp committee. don't you know that anon!
okay? so do 100 different other things. the committee is full of people with grudges, alliances and financial interests in cfb. influence from a thousand different ways will be a thing unless cfb goes to a model used by professional sports which is unlikely. the cfp stating certain data points they look at is all a slight of hand because the more data you accept the more you can explain away why you took a certain action and ranked one person here and another person there. and you can change it week to week! they've been doing it for years.

>but anon!
having a melty over rankings that aren't the absolute final cfp poll that takes into the full body of work from a season is the mark of a true shabbos goy.

Kiffin distributing or allowing photos of this nature to be distributed is what makes me think he's a huge homosexual. That and the planted story every two weeks about him liking college pussy. (what red blooded straight man doesn't like college pussy?)
>>

The saying everyone in Tiger Nation knows is Lighting in a Bottle (Burrow, Jamar Chase, Jordan Jefferson)
Give that to Kiffin he gives you a natt

Well, we're waiting Louisiana.....

Jordan was his older bro LSU fans hated even tho people on the Rant recruiting board were saying, hey, this kid's younger brother is the next big thing

they made the playoffs due to a weak schedule and football god shenanigans. they werent actually a playoff caliber team. their QB that ESPN sucks off every week, has always been garbage when it matters.

They played 6 of the 8 worst teams in the SEC last year. No fault of theirs but their conference schedule was dogass
No coincidence that the first conference opponent they played with a pulse (Texas) they lost
>>

Man, how bad was the SH1G last year that oregon was dogshit?

schedulebabbies will just keep getting exposed in the playoffs until we get autobids secured for every FBS conference champion
>>

just a huge gap between 1-2 and everyone else. same as the SEC. oregon is ole miss with money. that is their ceiling.

We have that starting this year.
But I don’t know if 11-1 A&M would’ve taken the bullet for 8-5 Duke if that rule had applied last year.

schedule baby are relevant. Texas A&M was a sched baby because they played the lower half of the SEC. That same schedule, the best G6er would have went 6-6 and their O and D line would be dead.

So I hear Georgia is temporarily considered the #1 team in all the land, starting now!

Georgia would would whip some Yankee ass in a war:

East Coast homeport for our nuclear missile subs (other in Seattle) - Ohio-class fleet ballistic-missile (Trident II) and guided-missile submarines

known as the traditional "Home of the U.S. Army Infantry"

Home of the "Rock of the Marne," US Army 3rd Infantry Division

Only North Carolina has a US Army infantry base that can compete with the ones in Georgia

Home of U.S. Army Rangers - the tip of the spear, the "Marines" of the US Army

Home of the "Flying Tigers" squadron of A-10C Thunderbolt II (with future plans for F-35A transition) to deliver close air support to ground troops

Home of the U.S. Army Cyber Command

Saban didn't do shit when one of his star players punched a woman after a game. If he were to be mad about yesterday's game, it would be because the penalty cost them what little sliver of a chance they still had to win the game. He wouldn't have given a shit about the violence itself.

6-6 is better than 6 teams in the SEC were able to do last year, I don't understand your point. 3 of those teams who finished below 6-6 were also RANKED at some point in the top 25. Which proves the retards making the polls don't know fucking anything and will rank any SEC team with a pulse

I grew up to this in the 90s. You people prob would have shit all over him constantly 15 times a day and still hate him to this day, but back in the days that we loved our country, our God and each other, Slocum was a lovable dude

R.C. Slocum is the winningest head football coach in Texas A&M University history, having compiled a 123–47–2 overall record across 14 seasons from 1989 to 2002.

Recent Recognition: Texas A&M honored him with a bronze statue sculpted by Steven Whyte, unveiled outside Kyle Field on September 4, 2026

threadly reminder Slocum won't uncurse the program until he dies and even then I would not be surprised if he goes to the grave without doing so
>>
>>158156691
Why'd he curse the program?
