So, it happened AGAIN. We can blame injuries, we can blame fatigue, we can praise Como's effort, we can blame Hiroshimoot Nagasaki for the PHP security patch taking all day to apply, but the truth is it's simply not enough. Tactics, determination, you name it, it all stinks.

Don't get me wrong, I still have full faith in Carrick and the lads, but MASSIVE reinforcements are desperately needed in January. Otherwise I'm not very optimistic about this season, or our chances in the Champions League for that matter. Not playing like this. What do you think, /mug/? #CARRICKIN or #CARRICKOUT?

It's clear that he believes that we had wasted his club career and wants to go out on a strong finish like Harry Kane.

The Saudis wanted him last season and it's clear that there's Trouble In Paradise. What are the odds that he transfers to a team like Real Betis in January or the summer?

Carrick and his staff just clearly aren't coaching this squad properly. The team are not as fit as they used to be, do not press at all, and the tactics are bonkers

Sure we won the Most Points Won Since Michael Carrick Was Appointed trophy and had the most assists from open play and set pieces even though we wanted Bruno to leave to Saudi in summer 2025 but Carrick and his staff just clearly aren't coaching this squad properly. >Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says Cristiano Ronaldo "let the team down" during his time in charge at the club and claimed the Portugal international did not prepare properly for games.

>Ten Hag also alleged promises made by United's owners went unfulfilled before the Dutchman was sacked in 2024, shortly after signing a new contract.

>Ronaldo returned for a second spell at Manchester United in August 2021 and was already at the club when Ten Hag was appointed before the 2022-23 campaign.

>However, the relationship between the pair quickly broke down, with Ronaldo refusing to come on as a substitute in a win over Tottenham in the October before the Portugal international publicly criticised the club in a TV interview.

>Ronaldo’s contract was mutually terminated the following month.

>Ten Hag claims Ronaldo used to pull out of training sessions and did not complete the full run that players were set after they were beaten 4-0 by Brentford early in his reign.

>The Dutchman claimed in the discussions with the club’s owners about his new deal that he was made promises which were not kept, and he was left "embarrassed" when Scott McTominay was sold to Napoli without his consent.

>He added: "They promised me loyalty, they promised me backing, they promised communication, that we get aligned. We spoke about the issues. But the promises, they didn’t keep.

>"I said, ‘No selling Scott McTominay’. And in the end they sold him. I got, of course, very embarrassed and disappointed."

Buy another winger to go on the left, stop shoving Kagawa there all the time. Or better yet, give Zaha a fucking chance. Januzaj can play there, but as we've seen with other young talents we don't want to burn him out by playing him every week. He's only 18.

Buy a midfielder that's going to start every game. There needs to be someone actually good to partner with Carrick instead of Lelverley, Felelaini or Anderlel.

Buy yet another midfielder for Carrick cover. United have dropped points this week due to lack of Carrick (the Leverkusen game otherwise). If Carrick gets injured again during a tough set of fixtures, they're really fucked.

Buy a centreback because Rio is getting too old and shit and will most likely retire at the end of the season. There just needs to be a stopgap defender to bridge the way from Rio to the likes of Jones/Smalling.

Some deadwood needs to go too. How Anderson is still getting paid is beyond me. He just sits on his arse and eats all the time.

Dont see how its delusional unless they collapse completely next season ten hag style. Either an FA or EFL cup is a reasonable expectation to have, and if pep does leave then every other team close to them barring arsenal (and villa i guess) are going to have big rebuilds/changes come next season. City losing arguably the GOAT manager, Pool stuck with Slot and a team full of dud signings and old men, and Bournemouth losing Iraola.
>>154720839
The midfield isnt the problem yet but next season it will be if they dont rebuild well. Theyre losing Casemiro whos the second or third most importang piece of that team and are a mainoo injury away from Ugarte being a starter, so id say they need at least 2 major signings the fill the gap that hes gonna leave and to improve on Ugarte whos probably gonna get sold.
I do agree with your other points though, will see how Carrick changes it up with more time and players

Interested to see how united build from here. I don't mind Carrick as an appointmemt as I don't think guys like Iraola or Glasner are somehow way better, nor do I think bringing in Nagelsman whos a notoriously bad man manager after the WC is the best idea. Only realy concern is how he adresses the OOP problems and replacing Casemiro, which are both dependent on the midfield signings being top. Think if they get them right like they did with the signings they made last summer they could make a challenge for a cup or two, maybe even a fugazi title charge where they finish second since I really dont think Arsenal or City are a million miles away from them (especially if Pep does leave
>>

This always made me cringe. City and Arsenal were in the business end of cup comps as well as the PL. United played 40 games total that season.
>>
They're so unrecognisable compared to the Fergie era. The team. The club. Everything. They dont know how to buy. They dont know how to sell. They dont know how to play. They just know how to be incredibly woeful. Each time they look like turning a corner, either winning a cup or stringing a few wins together, a new manager comes in, things look like they're improving and sooner rather than later they just fall back in to the same old sorry state. Theyre like an alcoholic sibling or parent who just cannot get better.

Theyre fucked and they'll never recover.

>>
Howling, theyre so bad that the brighton manager is pre-emptively snubbing them before they even fire the current manager
>>
The issue I have is the players don't seem to care. People talk about how 'good' they were last season but they ignore;

1. The training of Amorim was building a long-term foundation for the club, which was based on extreme fitness (so you could keep running and playing at your best for longer)
2. The club played the fewest games in their history; a single cup game in each cup (FA Cup + League Cup) and 38 PL games. 40 total. This meant that in some cases, due to scheduling, they had two week breaks. Or 10 days. This allowed easy rest periods.
3. Carrick changed training to heavily focus on training, rather than fitness, but the effects of Amorim's training lingered meaning that they improved their technical ability while retaining their stamina. This meant they performed better overall.
4. Despite the 'more points than Arsenal and City' and 'we would have won the league had Carrick been with us at the start' they forget that Arsenal and City had way more games to play and injuries to deal with (and Arsenal are now crippled by injuries due to the extent of their 55 odd game season) so they're comparing apples and oranges.
5. They forget a lot of their games they didn't actually perform that well and got lucky. Games that should have been losses or draws were wins and so on.
6. Maguire, Shaw, Casemiro and Fernandes had good seasons. Despite the league doing everything they can to rig the 'assist' record for Fernandes just so they could avoid giving Arsenal player the PFA award (including giving Fernandes assists that weren't assists) they had a stable LB and Casemiro and Maguire were both targets for Fernandes set pieces (majority of his assists were from set pieces) and now Casemiro is gone, only Maguire is the threat in the air (Sesko is injured and never starts) so easier to defend (set pieces aren't being scored very often now anyway)

But despite all this, they don't look happy. When they went 1-0 up against Spurs, Fernandes didn't celebrate.

Yeah City and their cheating has no bearing on Man Uniteds inability to be a good football club that is ran with equally good intentions. Maybe an argument can be made for head-to-head matches regarding cheating and accumulating players with ill gotten gains which could dictate results. Other than that... United are a piss poor ran club from top to bottom.

>>
>>158291859

>>
>>158291828
>net spend
Fuck off retard. Arsenal fans pulled that shit during their banter years and were mocked for it. Lets give an example here. United get £500m in a sponsorship deal. Why is this money not allowed to be spent but because City sold a player for £100m that is? Net spend became a cope because Liverpool started using it and the media followed it when it was rightfully mocked when the likes of Arsenal were doing it. But hey, sure.

>City
£1.530bn
>United
£1.530bn

Exactly the same. Also you forget City are financial cheaters and have managed to get dodgy deals both selling and buying. But again, why is net spend the go to excuse? If I buy a £100,000 car and sell my old one for £50,000 I didn't get a new car for £50,000, I wrote a cheque for £100,000. The fact I got £50,000 for selling the old one doesn't matter. Again, if I buy a car for £100,000 and I got £50,000 from winning the lottery, why is that money not allowed to be included because it didn't come from selling a car?

Man United's civil war spills over into the boardroom with chiefs SPLIT over Michael Carrick's replacement: Insiders fear club are 'wasting too much time' as under-fire boss clings on to his job for Bournemouth game, problems are piling up with there understood to be growing tensions between director of football Jason Wilcox and director of recruitment Christopher Vivell.

Vivell is understood to be pushing hard for Julian Nagelsmann to be the leading candidate, with the 39-year-old out of work following a disastrous World Cup in charge of Germany.

Chelsea assessed Nagelsmann as a potential manager when Vivell was technical director in south London and his admiration remains.

But sources have suggested that Wilcox, who is Vivell’s boss in the chain of command, prefers a Premier League proven manager, with Eddie Howe, Gareth Southgate, Unai Emery and Antonio Conte, who have all come up on a shortlist, a tick in that category.

‘It needs to start at the top,’ one first team player said.

‘Recruitment guys, manager, the lot need to go.’

Another source said: ‘This needs a strong board to make hard decisions fast. They’ve already wasted too much time.’

United have stressed that Vivell and Wilcox maintain a healthy relationship even in such trying circumstances, but many close to the dressing room are telling a different story.

‘At this club, there’s too much focus on what’s been done in the past, but we’re not those people anymore,’ Fernandes told Sky Italia after the Como defeat.

‘The club and the players need to understand that. Unfortunately for us - especially when it comes to the players - those who join expect to win trophies, win games, and reach the highest level, but unfortunately that's been very difficult at this club in recent years. That's the situation.’

>Is the debt thing real?
Yes.
It's well-documented even when they are still just "Glazzers" not some Jews.
>>
>>158296227
Yeah they bought the club with its own money. Club's worth £2bn. So you borrow £2bn from it then buy it with that money and transfer the debt from yourselves to the thing you just bought. I don't know why this is allowed either.
>>
>>158293855
>Bioware is kill
But that's a great day to be down; complete focus enjoying the news. Fuck Bioware, one good game and nothing but cancer afterwards. S
>>
>>158296334
Bioware made many great games, you faggot zoomer spic.
>>
>>158296227
They bought the club on debt. Basically they wanted to by United, so they got a loan to buy United and used the club (which they had yet to buy) as collateral against the loan. The ultimate goal was to sell the club on and the new owners would clear the debt. You cannot buy PL clubs now any more by using their future ownership as the collateral for the loan. United objectively pay £100,000 per DAY in debt interest. Not paying off the debt. Interest. In total the debt is around £1.2bn (That includes transfer fees they still owe). This costs them like £100m or so a year in interest payments they have to pay or it adds onto the debt. But United make a lot of money so they can pay it and still take money out.

Then Sir Jim came in and offered to buy like 75% of the club and they said 'no' then he said 'OK 50%' and they said no, so he said 'OK 33%' and they said no so he said 'OK 25% and I become 'the face'' and they said yes. The goal is this
>Sir Jim was good friends with British politicians, including Burham who was at the time Manchester Mayor
>He gets 'mates rates' and gets land deals to build the new stadium
>Spend 10 years building the new stadium, hoping for CL every year like Arsenal did AND using public money to do it (by claiming it is 'vital to the economy and community of Manchester')
>New stadium is 100,000 capacity, which would mean a sell out would be about £15m a game, with maybe £18m for a CL game
>Attach go-karts, concerts, cinemas, restaurants, hotels and carparks to it to increase income
>This increases their profits on top of the slimming down with culling staff and reducing wages
>Show Qatar you're making £500m a year profit even with the debt
>Ask them for £15bn to buy the club out (there is a reason the original AI design was Muslim inspired) and clear the debt at the same time
>Sir Jim and Glazers walk away with billions in profit
>>
>>158296346
Not great for that plan that both the UK (and the rest of Europe) and Qatar are likely entering gigantic financial crises.
>>
>>158296341
Mass effect was never good.
>>
>>158296369
Even if they started building the stadium tomorrow, it'd still take a decade + 5 years of running it at capacity to be able to make money. We can't look at the future in 15 years but it's unlikely everything will be shit for 15 years.

Of course the issue is they may die or backout before then but they have no desire to sell.

Dear Sir Ratcliffe,

I do not have a black belt in judo like Wilcox does, but watching him run Manchester United feels like getting thrown onto bare concrete every weekend.

Look at his track record against us:

Crucial winger for the Blackburn side that snatched the title from Sir Alex in 1995.
Over 100 matches in Leeds white.
Over a decade building the Manchester City academy machine that knocked United off our perch.

If someone hired a deep-cover operative to hollow out Old Trafford from an executive swivel chair, they would not change a single line on his CV.

Allegiances aside, his actual professional performance is staggering.

First, he dithered on Erik ten Hag, handed him a contract extension, and binned him a few months later. We gave him a pass because the regime was brand new.

Then came Dan Ashworth. United endured months of public drama and paid Newcastle a heavy compensation fee to secure him as the sporting mastermind. By December 2024, Ashworth walked out the side door, leaving Mr. Benedict Wilcox to scoop up his responsibilities and take the director seat.

Now look at the carnage. Rúben Amorim was ousted after clashing directly with him over his interference in team affairs. Now Lisandro Martínez, a player who leaves skin and bone on the pitch every match, is publicly questioning his squad building and asking what the hierarchy is actually doing.

Sir Alex established one non-negotiable rule: No individual is bigger than the club. He ran a ruthless operation, but his staff delivered results and protected the dressing room. Wilcox has brought the paranoia and the internal friction without delivering the competence.

When the manager, the recruitment chiefs, and the senior players all run into the exact same executive wall, the problem is not only on the grass.

If this has been an elaborate hit job on behalf of City and Leeds, fair play. You got us.

If not, Mr. Ratcliffe, take the keys back.

Signed,
United Fans

For a decade-plus, it was the biggest team of all time. They won so much, cheated so much and bragged so goddamned much that they attracted hordes of fairweather fans who wanted to cheer on a winner and permanently alienated every other football fan and even people who don't even care about footy. That's why there's a general now based on enjoying the absolute comedy they've turned into and no e.g. Chelsea equivalent.

The only way united makes a comeback is returning to their workmanlike hard-nosed roots

>>158313334
yep, to understand man uniteds retarded decisions youve got to understand what the glazers and united hierarchy above carrick want for the club, what their aims are, what they view success as and what they look for in a player.
1.placate the delusional fans from africa and india
2.get major social media interaction, especially if they can create it into a window long saga
3.it makes them look like theyre still a big club

in a traditional sense united arent a football club. they dont prioritize winning, they dont need to win to make money. the fanbase is so massive that they can sustain themselves without prize money. how they operate is shilling man u branded crap to foreign countries fans, and sponsorships.

they use their social media interaction numbers to get sponsorships, and sign players who would raise that. infact the players are told that signing for united would increase their brand value and wealth, so only players who only care about fame and money rather than winning will join them.

because social media interaction is just a number, someone typing man utd are shit is worth just as much to them as man utd are good in regards to attracting sponsors. if theyre shit and the world is trolling them, it earns them more interaction /money. they are a marketing firm with a football arm
>>
>>158315519
Since Ineos has arrived and got control of the football operations, the club has gone into freefall

Concession prices gone
Ticket price increase
Sacking more staff than initially stated
Extending Ten Hag and then firing him
Allegations of breaking football promises to Ten Hag
Charging adults and kids for membership gift back.
Chasing Ashworth all season, paying to get him, then sacking after 165 days. With a large sacking fee.
Hiring Amorim, mid season, against his wishes.
Trying to interfere with his coaching etc and then sacking him when he publicly called them out.
Insisting we need a new stadium, even though we are in debt.
The 2026 summer transfer window.
3 managers in 2.5 years.

And thats just off the top of my head. Im sure there are more and the only good thing I can think of Ineos doing is investing in Carrington.

Now I dont want to fall into the trap of revisionism on pre Ineos days as there were copious amounts of issues. But the footballing side of things was better, including the following:

Lowest league finish was 6th
4 trophies (2024 FA cup had nothing todo with Ineos)
More European football
Better football on the pitch (not every year!)
Overall we had better windows (again, not every purchase was great)

Listen the Glazers, Woodward and Arnold, et al. Were bad, but are/were they any worse than who we have now?
>>
>>158316058
Yap, i have no clue how Jim Ratcliff became so wealthy, because based on the way he manages United, he is thick as pig shit.
>>
>>158316078
INEOS clubs Lausanne and Nice both literally bottom of their leagues right now. And the Women's team are all dead last in their respective leagues.

“No top team in world football subscribes to a model whereby you ‘FIX’ one area of the team only PER transfer window. Even then, fixes look temporary at best.

“Ineos were said to have ‘fixed’ United’s attack under Amorim when they recruited Cunha and Mbeumo, ideal player profiles for Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system as his No 10s.

“This summer there was a laser-like focus on overhauling a midfield that lost Casemiro and has Ugarte, an Ineos signing that has long been a non-factor.

“So, after missing out on their targets, they recruited Baleba for £70m, Santos for £50m, and Tielemans for £35m.

Part of me would like the owners to just be open and up front about how we are and will remain a mediocre mid table club now and stop all this nonsense about actually competing again. It's been like this for years now but obviously no one can say anything because it will damage the 'brand'. it's why we have the same problems year on year no matter the manager or signings that come in. No one in that dressing room truly believes they are there to compete and you see it in the performances.

Sad state of affairs really. It's so depressing to see the same things happening again this season and no one really believes we are going anything other than another up and down season where at best we might put a run together that gets us top 4 or maybe to a final but we'll still be miles of the top team and there's sure to be a few more embarrassing results along the way to put in the record books just like the last sorry 13 years or so.

Bruno starts to deteriorate and mbeumo, sesko and cunha get dragged down by the negativity like all our other signings...which is already happening. Ineos plan is a nonsense. I have no answers for any of this but the club is and will remain a mess for a long time to come.

Im cheering for man u to win so you keep carrick longer and dont get a proper manager. if he can get you to about 8th i think he can last the season
>>
>>158325440
>so you keep carrick longer
he's gone lad, next loss he's gone.
>>
>>158325440
Worry not, when Carrick gets sacked they will get Nagelsmann or Southgate. /mug/ will live.
I haven came across a youtube short, posted 6 months a go, with Brent Di Cesare saying he would be very keen on Nagelsmann, so the customer is being prepared.
>>
>>158325506
>Brent Di Cesare
Not his real name. His real name is Brent Clemison. Brent has wanted Nagelsmann before they got Carrick. He has never wanted Carrick. As for Southgate, he's said he's tired with football and doesn't enjoy it. He's never coming back. People have championed him to 'reset the culture' but he won't because he hates football now (fun fact, Michael Owen hated football too) so it ain't happening. Eddie Meme is the closest to Garreth.

The tomboyish lass has more sense and said she would love Unai Emery, but he would never leave Villa to join that house on fire.
>>
>>158325568
>>158325654
of the even slightly realistic options (they would consider joining, and are atleast considered decent by some) what would be the worst guy they could pick
>>
>>158325654
Tomboyish lass? What on United Stand? Or Alice? Either way Emery would require total control, guaranteed (he is effectively a sporting director AND manager) and it would cost probably £20m to buy him out. Only Hurtzerler would be more expensive and he has said 'no' already. Conte, Nagelsmann and Howe are the only options.

>>158325707
Depends, do you want short term /mug/ or long term /mug/. Short term, probably Howe. Long term? Conte. Conte would probably get them playing well but come windows being told he can't buy whatever he wants like he did at Chelsea etc and he cries and it melt downs.
>>
>there's a big chance manutd will be last in the league after this round
>Manchester United were last in the English top-flight table (or bottom of the division) after their opening 8 games during the 1921–22 First Division season.
historic season, lads

up the Posh!
