WHY ARE GERMANS LIKE THIS.
>>
Why do you let away fans watch their team? We don't do that in GERMANY.
>>

WAS STEHT AN JEDER ECKE
RED BULL VERRECKE
>>
Walking to the stadium? We don't do that in GERMANY anymore.
>>
>>158388838
In the NHL the Nashville Predators do essentially the exact same thing.
That's why it looks like picrel.
>>
>>158389212
That’s a decent size crowd though. Most of the seats are filled.

I’ve watched some MLB games and majority of seats are empty
>>
Can someone explain where the "we don't do that in GERMANY" jokes started? I've seen it outside of 4chan a lot. Is this something Germans really say?
>>
>>158389997
Saying "We don't do that in Germany" is something we don't do in Germany
>>
>>158389997
My new job has a German division. I met the first Germans of my life this month not counting an exchange student I knew in high school.
The first one on his first day pronounced my American coworker's name like he was ordering food at Oktoberfest and informed me that's how it would be pronounced in Germany.
The second one I met the next day. Windows shit the bed on her bluetooth headset and she informed me they don't have IT problems in Germany.
>>158390701
No shit, because you're in Germany.

i too would like to know, i think the meme is hilarious and save every variation of it
>>
>>158389997
I don't know where it started, but I think it is indeed true that some people here have some bewilderment about some things in other countries and will cockily assume that a comparison with Germany is necessary and helpful for their own worldview. Ironically, I think the ones doing it are usually our leftliberal people, the ones who reject nationalism in any form but have ridiculously high moral standards when it comes to things like ecology. Americans may get the brunt of that due to these people not liking Trump and being very vocal about it, thereby leading to Americans creating that meme. That is my theory at least
But in general, I think it's not really representative, and I think it's fair to say that we are a relatively reserved people. Not every comparison is this smug "why don't you do it like us, huh?" thing, every country has smug retards and every country has (way more) people who will make comparisons based on what they know from their home when encountering something new
As such, I find the meme quite annoying, but that's to be expected if you're at the butt of it and see it a dozen times a day, and that's precisely why you use it, and now you will use it on me
>>
>>158389666
That's a fairly small attendance for a Bundesliga match, I'd say? The main reason why Buyern Munich wins the league every year is because the team "lasts" so long, and the other teams don't have very much density.

I wouldn't WANT to win a Domestic Treble every year, but I if I wanted to win a Ballon D'Or, I could easily.

>The club had to call in social workers to remove the blockade
finally, a use for social workers.

>thereby leading to Americans creating that meme.
I imagined that the meme was created by other Euros, like in an /int/ thread where one German anon said it and someone replied with the reaction image, or someone's experience either touring in Germany or with German tourists in a greentext story. This meme couldn't have been made by most Americans because it feels like it was made by someone who interacted with Germans in person several times, it just feels personal.

nah this goes against RB Leipzig specifically, who should not be allowed to exist at all in the eyes of many, especially fans from traditional clubs with a storied history like RW Essen
>>
>>158388838
Heh.
Top tier banter.

Why didn't they call a builder?
Did they make a report on how the bricks were feeling and refer them to talking therapy?

The meme is like a year old at this point. Its real, Germans say in germany all the time because no one thinks of germany when making broad statements as the default is britian and america
>>
>>158396617
???
>>
>>158396703
Aren't you guys the ones who spell it that way? I'm pretty sure Germans spell it "draußen".
>>
>>158397129
Double ss is common in casual written German and advertisement
>>
>>158389997
It's literally the only answer with a retarded stare and autistic rage you get from every single gemran expat when you explain to him how things work.
>we don't do that in germany, why can't your country be more civilized as germany blablablabla
>>
>>158389997
It's always been a fairly well-known cliché that Germans want everything done their way, and anything else just baffles them.
>>
>>158388838
oh no, why anybody think about that 5-6 poor supporters of the red bull
>>
>>158396617
>>158397791
yeah, because the ẞ as a capital letter was only introduced recently so a lot of all caps texts just opted for the SS instead
but yes, as far as I know the Swiss Germans don’t use the ß at all
>>
>>158388838
Can you tell me how can you be strong and competitive without money?
>muh plastic
So, only teams from big cities are allowed to have weathy owners and sponsors?
>>
>>158398437
>strong and competitive
Ultras don't care about that. They prefer to play their local rivals in the 6th division over having some stranger own the club.
>>
>>158398437
RB Leipzig isn't automatically disliked because "they have money", they are disliked for being a very blatant marketing tool for Red Bull, and for being an exception to 50+1, which all other clubs have to adhere to (and fans mostly want that) while RBL snuck around it via various loopholes and some lobby work. Especially since they are part of a multi-club network where RB clubs give each other players under favorable conditions. It's just not what fans want to see
Their rather empty and very quiet stadium (unless it's a big game) annoys people, and they used to advertise themselves the ones to develop East German talent and become a real factory for young players - but they basically only buy 10 French-African players every year
Don't expect other football fans to clap like seals for such a franchise arriving and taking a spot in the Bundesliga. Sure, many ultras are cringe by default, but RB Leipzig is indeed hard to like
