Obviously Milwaukee deserves it more. but man, this brings memories. I grew up watching the Mexican Pacific League, where the team from my city was one of the worst on the league, year after year. Until one day they reached the final in 2003. We were mopped 4-1 and while it sucked, I was happy they made it there. I was never going to watch them again in the final but at least I did. Then the next year, they made it to the final again, and they lose it 4-1. That one really fucking broke me. Sportswise I don't think I ever felt so fucking crushed by the team I root for loosing anything. And while Milwaukee surely deserves it they haven't been in a WS in a really long time. While Tampa has arrived multiple times in later years but always choke in the end. Obviously I'm not gonna compare some shitty AAA winter league to the World Series, but my emotional investment was real. but I figure being a Tampa Fan right now must feel something like that only fucking worse.
