I’m shocked that the Tits traded Simmons, he’s literally the only player on that team. Who else do they have? Ward is cheeks and Tate might be good but it’s hard to tell since the rest of the team is so bad. Simmons was the only guy selling jerseys. Apparently the Tits were reluctant to trade him too. Obviously they got a great deal, I just can’t believe the bears would give TWO firsts for a DT>>158407991Kek

>>158408021Tate is passing the eye test thus far for sure, he’s attacking balls thrown his way and snatching them out of the air instead of waiting like a lot of rookies do. Two 1sts is just too much to pass up even if the bears’ firsts are unlikely to be very high
How do Bears fans feel? I know they wanted DL help, and Simmons is great. But man, that’s a LOT of draft capital. They’re officially all in
what's the difference between the panthers and the titansthis isn't a setup to a joke or anything, i'm genuinely curious
>>158408052Two firsts is fucking insane and we've been drafting well, I don't like it
>>158407707None of them. Because Justin Herbert is not a good quarterback.
>>158408058Panthers have a QB
>>158408052Two firsts is comically high but I get it, we have no cap space and the tits just paid him. There was no way we'd get elite DL help with the ~25th pick. But it's superb owl or bust, and this might be enough to make it happen.
>>158407708Because he didn't run the offense in SF. He just helped. He's more of a run game specialist. For fucks sake he made Raheem Mostert a pro bowl RB and lead the league in rushing TDs. Then he just had Tua, Tyreek, and Waddle to blow it open.
Put into consideration that the two 1sts the Bears are giving up will most likely be very late 1sts because the Bears will most likely continue being very good this year and next.
>>158408077I do consider that, but a first is a first. If it were a first and a second and fourth I'd feel great, taking a guy like Simmons with a first is a great pick. Two firsts? Ehhhh
>>158408077Consider that the bears by the same token will have no picks until the very late 2nd. Enjoy the 60th best player.
>>158408028Cute. Kiwi is gonna be a good dad.
>>158407730No one is saying the Dolphins were contenders. His best year was a round 1 exit. But the offense was explosive for a little while. I wouldn't say overall "he worked" in Miami, but he got Tua to the playoffs. The fact that the Chargers can't even get 1 single win with him tells me it's not his fault, it's probably not even partially his fault. Herbert is just a horrible player.
If the Bears defense keeps getting better this is looking a bit more likely
>>158408077I disagree. People act like late firsts aren’t important because yeah you’re unlikely to get a franchise QB there, but JT’s great for getting DB talent. Positions like Safety and IOL can fall really far off of position alone even if the talent is great.
>>158407761Oh yeah? What's going to happen first, DC fired, HC fired, or Herbert let go one way or another?
>>158408031>Erm actually it was the ColtsOh fug I forgot the Take KC to Overtime Colts, now that's a win to hang your hat on.
>>158408089Reminder that by the playoffs they will have Coby Bryant back as well
>>158408051I’ll take your word on Tate, I’m not watching Titans games Kek. Man, I can’t believe they got 2 firsts for him though. I didn’t think anyone would actually offer that
>>158408085Trvke. I agree. I believe in him and am happy for him.
>>158408052>>158408068How will the trade go down when Gayleb has a bad game and the Burrs lose?
This feels like the set up to a classic Bears playoff heartbreak moment
Trading that much for a non-QB is down syndrome behavior
I didn't start watching football until I was 26 and fell in love with the Bears when I watched the timeout disaster in Thanksgiving 2024, they became my new favorite team in that moment and watching them go from the funniest team in the NFL to a team that's got a great chance to win it all has been so cool
>>158408052This is honestly deja vu of the 2018 Bears kicking woes, going for it, and expectations and all
my mind is blank on simmons, can i get a qrd
>>158408099NTA but Tate routinely gets like 60% of ward’s passing yards. He’s going to have his career wasted by dogshit qbs. Cam ward is like the 50th best qb at most
>>158408112The best DT in football
Kicker is sneakily the second most important position in the NFL
>>158408117I suspect the tits will move on from ward sooner rather than later
>>158408126Personally I'd keep him on the roster and bring in a veteran to compete for a starting spot. Like a Jones or Devito
>>158408112Good player, but inflated stats because the Titans have played perennially shit teams due to having a mostly 3rd/4th place schedule since he was drafted. Two firsts and a 4th/5th swap for a Tackle is insane.
>>158408132Ehhh that's only three games of the year. The real reason he's played mostly shit teams is he's in the fucking AFC South kek
Chiefs-Niners is your Super Bowl this year. The Bears, Vikings, Panthers, Jaguars, being massively popular to bet on by normalfags (such as this entire general except me) makes it clear as day we are getting a tired rerun and you won’t do shit about it. Reffies will make sure of it.
>>158408132should i be worried as a vikiesfren

>>158408021>I’m shocked that the Tits traded Simmons,You're shocked that they took two 1st rounders and a 4th to get out from under a 100+ million DT contract?
>>158408147Chiefs are not even going to beat their wild card opponentPatriots or Bengals have run stuffing defenses and would easily get past them
Vikings gonna win the super bowl this season I'm afraid
>>158408155They still have to pay him lol
>>158408158I admire your misplaced optimism. Jewdell will not let it happen.
>>158408149Your offense was shit before, a divisional team getting, even if he is, the best tackle in the league will have a marginal difference.
>>158408158Bengals won’t be a WC though
Burrs going 7-10, you heard it here first.
>>158408163jinx doesnt work if you're not a fan...
>>158408139>The real reason he's played mostly shit teams is he's in the fucking AFC South kekYeah that's also my point. The Titans are ranked low year over year in a shit division. That said he's still a very good player, but they definitely overpaid.
>>158408147I will not complain about Niners-Chiefs. To me it would be max kino. If the world series was Yankees Dodgers I would watch but it was two random literal who teams so I didn't care at all. Something epic about two titans clashing even if it is nice to see different teams flourish sometimes.
>>158408163When are they trading for GayT or Shitquan bumley

On her podcast, Calm Down with Erin and Charissa, Erin broke down what went wrong during her halftime hit on Sunday, Oct. 25, telling co-host Charissa: “I puked and crapped down my leg for my halftime hit, which I’m frustrated about,” Andrews said on the show. With just 45 seconds until she went on air, Andrews realized she didn’t have any updates about the questionable players. “So, I run to PR,” Andrews said.Once she went on air, “I’m fully f---ing out of breath, which is inappropriate,” Andrews said. “Like, get it together, sister. In through the nose, out through the mouth. It was all because the ramp was so long.”Andrews told Thompson, 44, the flustering moment “gives me chest pains” to think about. “And I’m like, ‘Oh my god, how many people are watching and I just s--- down my leg. I’m so much better than that.”Andrews recalled Fox analyst Tom Brady saying, “Awww,” after she told Kevin Burkhardt she’d “get it together” after halftime. “He did that on-air because he knew I was struggling,” she said.the weekly grind appears to be taking a toll on Erin>“I’m not in bed until 1:25. I’m nervous about what the flying’s doing to my body. I’m not kidding you. I’m really getting a little concerned here,” Andrews said on Calm Down With Erin and Charissa.>Winding down after a game day has become a struggle too.>“I’m struggling. I’ll be okay. I’m struggling. I’m not sick, though. That’s good. But I’m struggling.”
>>158408182>spend so much on a TACKLE>haven't even paid Caleb yetThis screams "win now, fuck the future". Which is odd. I know they wanted Buckner, which would have been a significantly better trade considering they wouldn't have to spend as much. This also sounds like a "fuck we couldn't get this guy so we need to do SOMETHING" trade.
>>158408194Andrews gave a taste of what the travel looks like in practice with a story from after the Rams and Eagles game in Week 4. She and her group were rushing through the airport when security stopped to go through her bags.>“But then I’m the last one because I’m like, ‘Everybody go. My bags are getting searched, and we’re not just looking for… there’s something in their metal.’ They’re holding up my Invisalign, scanning it. I’m like, ‘You guys, it’s Invisalign,’” Andrews said on the podcast this month. There is little time to rest before the next one. Week 8 arrives on Sunday, Nov. 1. Andrews is on the FOX broadcast most Sundays alongside Tom Brady, Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Rinaldi

It's ogre. Bears just won the Super Bowl. Bears sign best DT in football for nothing >Currently #3 of DI in NFL with 24 in pressures>Simmons is an exceptional "game-wrecker" who excels equally at collapsing the pocket and choking out the running game>absolutely elite and widely considered one of the very best defensive tackles in the NFL.

>>158408228I think they're in better shape than the Colts, but this move really screams desperation. For a team that doesn't really need to be desperate to win right now this season. All in all, it makes them a better team today, but if they don't win soon it's only going to get harder for them.

The funny part is the Bears were already going to be over the 2027 salary cap before taking on this contract.
What happens when the burrs go 0-6 in the division this season?
That trade feels so Colts-coded, like the Bears are going to randomly bottom out right after
>>158408289It shouldn't be anywhere near that bad. The Bears are a much better team with better management and coaching than the Colts. The Bears are a legitimate playoff team, whereas the Colts thought they were hot shit because they had a good start to last year, then they fizzled out.I still think it's a shortsighted trade, but the Bears are in "win now" mode because at the end of this year they're gonna pay Caleb an upwards of $65m/year and have no firsts for the next two years.
>>158408262This. He's got Albert Haynesworth-tier bust potential
>>158408226>>158408193Insufferable low brow sarcastic personality award
>>158408279Damn he was so good he helped keep Tyler Huntley to a measly 95 passer rating. Really took it to Jameis and Daniel Jones though!
>>158408262>>158408254He's #1 in snap played for his postion in the NFL. That makes him the least lazy player at his position and Bears probably won't have to ride him like a mule like Salah is doing with him
>>158408314its not my fault everyone is a fucking retard about this trade
>>158408321Anon it's a genuinely awful trade if they don't win the owl this year, and I don't think one DT is going to change anything.
>>158408321Two things can be equally true. The Bears are a better team now than they were yesterday, and the price they paid was too much. Obviously he is a good player, and adding him makes them better, but it is incredibly short sighted.
For me it's looking forward to all the good players the bears will have to cut this offseason with no means of replacing.
>>158408340This could blow up on them as soon as Monday, and has ramifications extending out until 2030.
>>158408335>>158408340you are effectively losing 1 first round pick to get one of the best defensive players in the league The picks were probably going to be low 1st round picks anyway. Its not as much of an overpay as you retards are acting it is
the thing is caleb is young, he has 10 more years you can build a solid team around him but if he gets injured or you sputter in the playoff, it looks like a stupid ass trade
>>1584083212 firsts for a player that isnt a QB you are coping
>>158408052In two drafts, you're lucky if one of your first rounders is an all pro.
>>158408358you can this about literally any pick or trade, are you all fucking brain dead
>>158408262>>158408311I want to believe because it’s funny, but the implication is that you guys know this because you watch Titans games, and NOBODY watches Titans games
>>158408358How are they going to build a solid team around his when they haven't paid him yet, they're already over the cap, and they just traded away all the draft capital for 100 million dollar DT?
>>158408315You understand stand what's going on here right? He's not playing for the Titans anymore. Now he's going to play for a good defense Lions have Hutch and a bad defense. Imagine if Hutch went to the Bears. Same thing except AFC team to NFC team here
>>158408353>low firsts don't matterJesus Christ, stop it. I get that there's a gorge between the #2 pick and the #26 pick, but to act like they're irrelevant is just braindead shit. >effectively losing 1 firstNo, you're effectively losing two firsts. Because you trade away two firsts. For a $33m/year tackle. When you still have to pay your QB at the end of the year. It's not a franchise-breaking trade, but for a young, up and coming team to hamstring your future to push the needle slightly to win now is insane. All that said if they win this year it doesn't matter. But if they don't then it's only going to get harder and harder.
Bears are probably going to lose in Seattle regardless of this trade but I will have a lot of fun pretending that the two are correlated and that the Bears gave up 2 firsts just to lose
>>158408377>Lions have Hutch and a bad defenseNo they don't, they have a bad secondary. Their front 7 is good. Also they got Branch back and Joseph came back to practice so they just have shit corners.
>>158408353Nigga thinks he's the Dodgers, hey retard, there's a limit to how much money you can spend every year, draft picks are how you afford a team! >but it's working out for the Rams, Colts, and EaglesYou have to win the owl this year or it's a complete disaster. You might have had a few bites at the apple with Gayleb still on a rookie deal but lol not after trading away both firsts in those years.
>>158407950HAHAHAHAHAHA>BURRS
>Trading away every single good player on your team for picksThis never ever ever works
Jeffery Simmons is a beast and probably the best DT rn but 2 firsts? Damn
>>158408377Who's gonna get Hooker?
>>158407969Rams when they got Stafford
>>158408377>Now he's going to play for a good defense He's not on the Seahawks or Vikings so that isn't true.
Honestly bears should have just grabbed Nelson or the other DT instead
>>158408379I didn't say its irrelevant, I said its not as much of an overpay as you guys are acting. You are trading away two firsts for one of the best if not the best defensive player in the league at this moment. The salary cap is mostly made up anyway thanks to all the deferred salary bullshit everyone does
>unironically defending this tradeAre we safe to conclude that burrsfags are indeed non-ball knowers? They haven't even paid gayleb yet.
Bears haters are shaking in they Boots right now mhmmmm
>The salary cap is mostly made up anyway thanks to all the deferred salary bullshit everyone does
>>158408432People always say this and ignore how the big spender teams suddenly become shit three years later
>>158408421It'll be so funny when the Burrs give Gayleb more than $50 mil a year and subsequently implode
>>158408289Depending on how terrible the playoff loss is going to be they can spiral off into another dark age
>>158408444Can they even afford to now without cutting half the team? They were over the cap before they took on Simmon's contract.
>>158408419> The salary cap is mostly made up anyway Have you kept up with the Eagles at all? You can put stuff on the credit card, but every brown penny MUST be paid. The Eagles are tearing their team down and about to eat $80 million in Jalen Hurts void years
>>158408436At least the Rams and Eagles won a sb, but you can see their depth problems literally the second one of the stars goes down or doesn't play like a HoFer every year. The Bears see this and say "why not us?"
Desperation mode
>>158408419>late firsts don't matter that much>the salary cap is bullshit, who cares You should be a GM.
Caleb told Ryan Poles to bring that bussy to him. He has a new gimp.
>>158408444Ppl that say shit like this have no idea how salary caps work.
I'm so excited And I just can't hide it
>>158408455the bears are going to be cutting some of the deadweight on defense most likely next season too. its not as dire as you guys are acting
Who will the Titans trade next?
>>158408454>>158408455>>158408444>erm, yeah, just tack on more void years, it's all fake and the cap goes up and the piper is never paid
>>158408465It's because they see the big numbers and don't think about it after that season
My team is finally ending its long endured salary cap hell after this season. $120 Million on the books this season and then we're free.
>>158408421In my nihilistic opinion I think the NFL front offices can see the current outlook in CFB and the player talent/development is trending downwards it’s why they keep trading for proven veterans when they’re in win now mode because these incoming players from the draft have fucking sucked.
>>158408477I was expecting Hooker to the Lions but I guess Kerby Joseph isn't dead anymore? Pollard I guess.
>>158408474And they will be replaced with what draft picks? You're getting shitty free agents to cobble together a top heavy roster that won't even be that good. Like at least with the Rams and Eagles and even the Colts you can see what they were thinking.
>>158408497>pollardHow much would he even get and who would want him?
>>158408474lol Caleb and Simmons are going to combine for like $85 million which will be like 25% of the salary cap. That’s a LOT for two players. Maybe you’re bringing in Simmons as a rental, but I doubt it since you gave up 2 firsts for him>>158408478At least the Giggles planned to do this, anonGMs do it haphazardly without thinking
>>158408503I was thinking Lions too. Pacheco is dead and they're giving Gibbs WAY too many touches. Maybe a 3rd?
>>158408477Do the Titans have anyone else to trade? Can anyone ITT even name one Titan outside of Ward (too ass to trade) and Tate (too young to give up)Also, am I crazy or does it feel like there have been a lot of first round picks traded this year? Stg the Titans, Browns, and Jets combine for like 10/32 first round picks
>>158408505Eagles got unlucky this year and last year but they did have a 3 year window and won once, the Bears are this year or bust (they're gonna bust)
>>158408505>Maybe you’re bringing in Simmons as a rental,Can't be a rental. Simmons just signed a new contract so they'd have to eat ALL THE DOLLARS EVER if they cut him. I mean, I guess you could theoretically trade him, but no one is going to be dumb enough to give up anywhere close to what the burrs did.
How did he do?
>>158408519There is Pollard
>>158408530Extend him for 10 years. Fleece of the century.
>>158408519Calvin Ridley
>>158408525ya its bad to have an incredible player on your defense for the next 4 years Simmon's cap hit wouldn't even be the worst on the team next season by the way
>>158408544No shit, the problem is you haven't paid Gayleb you retard.
>>158408365I'm a Jaguars fan and I watched him absolutely wreck our OLine in the first matchup last season. Like legitimately single handedly keeping them in the game in the first quarterThen the refs called a horseshit personal foul on him for jawing at Lawrence, he pouted and then he did nothing for the rest of the game. He really is like that
>brandon cooks is a licensed piloti thought teams would prohibit risky behavior in their contracts
>>158408543This nigga was washed already when the Jags tried to bring him in. He’d be a depth guy or a practice squad player most places
You guys know that once Caleb gets his extension, it won't kick in until a year later, right? The money aspect isn't as drastic as you're making it out to be. His rookie deal doesn't expire until the 2028 offseason, so that will be just 2 seasons of him and Simmons together getting paid a ton because they can get let go of Simmons after the 2029 season if they want with 0 dead money. Also, the salary cap keeps increasing every year by a good bit.
>Dexer Lawrence trade cost one first>Year younger Huh neat
>>158408549and he won't have to have a big cap hit for at least two more seasons you fucking retard
>>158408552Well now we only have to play against him once this year instead of twice. I still think the Jags will slap the burrs
>>158408554Flying is safer than driving althoughbeitfully
>>158408454>>158408444Doubt they can afford it. They're going to need to hope Caleb pulls a Wemby and actually takes a pay cut or leaves money on the table to help with cap space
>>158408525I agree, I was just trying to steel man the other side. I flatly think 2 firsts is way too much for anyone but a franchise QB. Maybe if the Bears win the Owl they can trade Simmons to someone else to recoup their losses, but that’s just unlikely IMO>>158408532True, I forgot about him. Though at some point the Titans are going to want to hold on to some players to surround with young talent. Idk if theyll want more picks after getting 2 firsts>>158408543Da bitch from Alien?? What position does she play?
>>158408560These people are so fucking stupid lol, no idea how they make it day to day in life being this low IQ

>>158408567Caleb is not that kind of guy, guarantee he will go for as much as he can possibly get
>2 first and 4th Jesus. This screams win now fuck the future
>>158408563>at least two more seasonsLMAOOOOOOOO Caleb becomes extension eligible THIS off season, and he’s going to expect to be extended this season. The Bears aren’t going to take his 5th year option
>>158408566when you're a passenger. amateur pilots have a far higher death rate
>>158408573I doubt it. They're competitors. They give each other shit. It's normal, this isn't a Reddit moderator club it's a football team
>>158408563Signing bonuses start being paid out the year the contract is signed.
>>158408573I get the gut feeling this trade is going to be a disaster
>>158408580The worst part is they will not win now. Even with this trade they are a dark horse team at best in the playoffs. All 3 of the good NFC West teams could put them down soundly and I’m not even confident the Bears are the best in the North
The Bears are not done after trading for Jeffery Simmons.Chicago is still pursuing another defensive lineman to fortify the fronts.Khalil Mack and Grover Stewart are still in play for Chicago
I simply do not expect things to work out for the Chicago Bears
>>158408582>doesn’t know ballThe rookie contract is fixed. They will pick up the option, pay the 4th and 5th years at the standard rate, then the extension money comes in.
>>158408598With what though? What can you trade after giving up two firsts?
>>158408598What are they going to trade for them now? Are they just going to start letting guys fuck their wives or giving away their children?
>>158408598I was just thinking about this. They can still get Kahlil and they should
>>158408609you are a literal bot
>>1584086092 hours with caleb and he can't say no
>>158408556My Niners could use him
>>158408607>They will pick up the optionNo they won’t. 5th year options are only taken for QBs with major questions like Stroud and Bryce. Solidified QBs get extended ASAP. You’re straight up coping now and I expect an apology when they extend Caleb this year
>>158408530The Bears just traded their last 1st and a 2nd for Anon's cat. They're clearly in "win meow" mode.
I knew AP should’ve traded Payne and Chaisson before the market softened
>>158408607>They will pick up the optionThen they will not have Caleb playing as quarterback after that season, and potentially that season as well, Mr. Certified non-Ball Knower.
>>158408623???
>Doing nothing at the deadline again
>>158408644Pretty sure Anon's cat is the Titan's GM, in which case he's executive of the year.
>>158408654You’re in on the JT sweepstakes, but he might be going to the Giants idk
>>158408606It’s too early for them to win the owl. If anything the Jaguars are giving big Brewers vibes where they are primed for a big run.
>>158408564>mfw Lequint Allen tells him he's going to unironically shoot and kill him and he has a melty and doesn't do shit the whole game again
>>158408560>>158408571the 4th and 5th years for a rookie qb 1/1 are still significant especially if he makes the pro bowl this year or next. Burrs are already over the cap aren't they?

>>158408654Deadline ends on November 10
>>158408335>I don't think one DT is going to change anything.and thats why you dont know ball. jeffery simmons is literally a game changer
>>158408673>Burrs are already over the cap aren't they?In 2027 they are. OTC has them 24 million over and I don't think that includes Simmon's money yet.
>>158408691>>158408691it was also assumed they were cutting a couple of the top cap hits next season before this trade anywayits really not as dire as you guys are acting lmao
>>158406464Lol no we're fucked. We are being run by a trio of hungarian jewish feminist psychos. We are done until the contract on the stadium is up in 2034.pol was right again. Also we traded our first round pick dumbass.
>>158408574Exactly so Bears are fucked
>>158406004>queefies are going to be RAPED this weeknahthey're winning the superbowl
>>158408691>>158408673And for comparison the Vikings are 35 million under and the Lions 62 million under for next year. So both of those teams, who might already be better than the burrs this season, have a lot of room to spend + actually have their draft picks. The burrs basically just went fuck the future.
>>158408619>>158408598Is Mack even healthy this season? I guess he's a good option but I feel they need secondary help
>>158408688Colts had rose tinted glasses for him because his predecessor (Ryan Grigson) was even worse and Ballard’s second draft (2018) was a massive success. So he bought a lot of goodwill upfront. Then none of the other drafts were any good.
>>158408690*but not for the Titans>>158408699>>158408691I'm sure giving Caleb more money will make him play better, just cut the expensive guys, they aren't doing anything.
>>158408574????? I don't think thats true at all?

>>158408722His team also sucks and needs the picks to get better
>>158408730Yeah they should do what all great dynasties do and trade away every single good player on the roster and just draft their entire team, that works brilliantly and always has, there's countless examples of this strategy paying off great

>>158409068His 2027 bonus is in there. Down at the bottom.>The contract contains a $5.5 million option due in 2027. This is due by the start of the regular season.
>>158408869It's over for the Hammond Bears.
>>158409077one more after thisshes looking great on this camera for some reason
>>158409029They have this bussy tied up
>>158409072I'm not, they're in full rebuild mode and likely will draft a new qb this offseason.
>>158409090
>>158409086ok im retarded
>>158408922me too fren, best of luck!!!!
>>158409090She has the Kay Adams ayy lmao filter on
the Jonathan Taylor trade to the Kangz is going to be the new Herschel Walker trade. colts dynasty incoming
>>158408946I would simply trade a 2nd and a 5th for a good DT while drafting well and extending the good players to team friendly deals.
>>158409104It's okay, NFL contracts are fucky, but the point is the burrs 2027 cap situation got ass blasted even before signing Caleb.
Since the Vikings have not officially traded for Taylor yet, let me say as a Vikings fan that it would be retarded if we give up more than a 3rd
Vegas just bumped the Bears odds for winning the Super Bowl
>>158409140It's gonna be a 2nd and a 5th.
>>158409145Do they have lines for the 27/28 seasons? It would be funny if those dropped.
>>158409125>>158409140Why would the Vikings trade for Jonathan Taylor? They're not contenders and he isn't going to make them one.
vegas bumped this bussy
>>158408922We're rooting for you, catbro.
>>158409103>>158409090>>158409077>>158409065Kino
all these niggas mad at the bears
what the lions vikings and bears do to make them think they are the best teams in the league again?who do they got again?
Enough mina and now to my retarded chargies.Waiting so long to sell that they're two best possible trade partners for Mack blow their loads somewhere else. RETARD HARBAUGHRETARD HORTIZ
lions are winning it all btw
At this point I don't care about losing. Just show that you have any capability whatsoever to make any adjustments.
BURRS FLEECED AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>158409187No anon, everyone is laughing at them and/or looking forward to them not being able to resign Caleb.
>>158408897didn't Purdy still have to wait for a contract even though he went to a Super Bowl
The best QB this division has seen since Peyton Manning finally gets settled and the other teams just... Give up? Jesus
>>158409227>best QB this divisionThat's like being the least shitty turd
>>158408377>Lions have Hutch and a bad defense.Actually it's not a bad defense. The CBs aren't great but getting better, S Brian Branch is back, S Kirby Joseph might be back and the Lions D-line is excellent.
>>158409224he was a 7th round pick not a 1st round pick
>all these niggas mad at the bearsTWO FIRSTS TO FIX THIS
>>158409239>S Brian Branch is back, S Kirby Josephneither of those guys are any good
>>158409239>The CBs aren't great but getting betterLions corners are absolute ass but yes, I agree their d line is very good and Branch and Joseph (if healthy) are elite.
>>158409248i dont think simmons would have stopped this play tbhwy
>>158409224Purdy got paid at the end of his third year. That's standard for practically every QB nowadays. If you're good, you get extended after your third year, that way they got you for three years for "free", and pay you before you're a free agent and can really hold the team's feet to the fire.Purdy got paid after a relatively bad year in 2024.
>>158409251>joseph>not any goodYes, All Pro FS' with 20 career INTs in 50 career games are a diamond dozen.
>>158409258I think it's an extra year if you're a 1st rounder no? 5th year option or something?
>>158409253>Lions corners are absolute assEven there, they are much better then the beginning of the season.>>158406141The players don't suck, DC Sheppard sucks and should be fired after the season.
>>158409271The only way 1st round QBs ever see their 5th year option is if they're dogshit or have been injured a lot.
New>>158409282>>158409282>>158409282
>>158409264correct, a player with degenerative joint conditions preventing him from playing for seasons at a time isn't good
>>158409271You have the option, yes, but if you truly have a great, franchise QB as the Bears assume they do, you don't delay his payment. That's how you piss off your QB you claim to want to start for your team from the next 10+ years. Plus if you flex the 5th year option on him, you risk him just holding out and throwing a wrench into your team's off-season preparation. You only flex that on guys you're not sure about. CJ Stroud may get a 5th year option depending because of how shaky he's been. But they're seemingly dead set that Williams is their future. You don't start off what should be the next decade of stability at QB with "let's not pay you".
>>158409300He missed half a season and he came back to practice yesterday.
>>158409256Christmas Coby Bryant tho
>>158408922>playing against the consensus worst team in the league Easy win for ya, bud.
