I stopped watching football also. I just don't relate to it. A number of reasons. I had a season ticket. I watched the demographic change around me to the point it was unrecognisable (More tourists, day trippers, stiff upper middle classes etc). The club started taking payment for cup games, automatically and months in advance. The players were mercenaries from all over the world. The football its self is boring, everyone cheats, everyone sets up to play the percentages, avoid defeat. refereeing is diabolical. Var was an awful change. Kick off times revolving around 3 or 4 television networks. Price of everything up every year. Its just not enjoyable.
