JBC (Japan Breeding Farms' Cup) is an annual series of races that are usually held on November 3, the national holiday Culture Day. The track is changed yearly like the American Breeders' Cup, so that the distances may differ.

I don't know what they're doing with him to be honest. Sadler's been training him for months now but they already skipped quite a few possible races and they still aren't making him run a full 2000m, the Japan Cup is in 4 weeks.

Watched the interview now, that was apparently just speculation from local media.
After scratching him from City of Hope (just a bad choice for Teao really) they were looking for a race in the past weekend but whatever they chose got cancelled, so now the pick is a 1800m race, sure okay.
He will be travelling to Japan on the 18th-20th
Also the JRA spoke to Heller to invite Journalism to race in Japan. Never happened obviously, Journalism has many owners. Where was he going to run anyway, the Tokyo Daishoten? lol
