The Premier League has decided that Man City cannot win the league because it would make the league look bad if City only "loses" because of a points deduction. Since Arsenal is the best placed to maintain a lead over City, the powers-that-be have given referees the order to grant Arsenal players lots of leniency while being very strict with their opponents, thus guaranteeing that Arsenal haramball will win since they can keep diving/cheating for penalties and set pieces with impunity.

They also decided to get Arsenal eliminated from the Carabao Cup ASAP so their players would be well-rested for the league and UCL games that matter.

Regardless, expect VARsenal to win the league with the help of referees.
