Been around for decades - I have a couple D&D themed sets. One is a classic heroic knight/evil wizard pairing chasing each other around an enchanted castle. The second is a wizard and a druid fighting over control of an enchanted forest, where something went horribly wrong. And the third in my collection involves a race through not!Antarctica, hunting for an ancient magic sword.

That alone is just terrifying as a concept.I think we'll easily survive the dungeon.Afterwards, I'll see if Madeline wants a tentacle monster for a housemate, or if Henrietta wants a surprisingly dangerous body-double, since she got kidnapped. I'm not sure what use a tree or anchor have unless you can spawn them on someone. That leaves the actual useful options: Dire Wolves, Warm Meal, Dynamite, Cantrips. I choose to believe the meal won't vanish after two hours in your stomach because that's dumb.Four free meals a day is genuinely great, no complaints. The cantrips usefulness depend on whether you can use these to learn magic. If not they're not bad but are unlikely to be better than another item given randomness. So now we're down to Wolves and Dynamite. And I reckon the former is going to be the more useful option. Like yeah, dynamite is powerful, but how often do you actually expect to need 20 high explosives in a day? Let alone 40? And are you *trained* with high explosives? Because I don't think you can just light them and throw them over-arm. Or you can, but you can't do that regularly and expect to live. If you plan to demolish castles more than once a week then sure, the dynamite is useful. But otherwise there is a bow which lets you fire a blackhole once a week which would probably also seriously fuck up a castle's walls, and is also an actual weapon. And if you skipped out on the book of light you could get the rings and the bow too.Tl;DR - Rings might be mad bomber - dies at 20 - option.
