>>96304531Gukesh vs Fabi right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zdV_G1SQto
>>96311838Only a very short game where the opponent blunders into a horrible loss should ever get that sort of accuracy. Somewhat ironically, long games also have very high accuracy, boring queen's pawn games where you are playing super symmetrical and neither player is making any "mistake" but only because they're not moving anything forward in a meaningful way. You can move around and around and around and the accuracy is very high because there are no mistakes - but not 99% no, that is only super short games where the computer cannot find a real flaw.
Does anyone know a website where you can play richman bidding chess? I've been reading some papers about it and it sounds really neat.
>>96314285It's unpractical for chess.
>>96315903Why's that?
>>96317128You'd need a computer to calculate the bids. Without it. the outcome will be random regardless of the intelligence of the two players. I'd play the poorman version if the money goes to a charity.

>>96328902>>96329544Well one of them obviously works. Queen and Rook tactics coupled with checks can look very, very simple while actually being totally mindbending and shocking.
>>96328902Queen f1 is a winning move because the bishop can give a discovered check if black takes the queen. Puzzle solution here:https://chessentials.com/chess-tactics-105/the game went in a different direction as black tried h5 to make room for the king; but there are other lines to study; see the notes by Stockfish in the PGN and then the comments down in this page:https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1008371&comp=1you can also import the PGN in lichess. >>96329704>mindbendingIndeed.

>>96298748I have a weird question. Caruana gets all this praise from Magnus, the media, etc. For essentially being on 'par' with Magnus due to the Championship Series where they held eachother essentially to 12 consecutive draws and then Caruana shortly got flatlined in the Tiebreakers.Karjakin did the same thing but more impressively. Magnus was more at his peak and not necessarily totally exposed yet as to what made him so good. He drew first blood in the match and lasted longer in the Tiebreaks yet nobody gives Karjakin credit in the same way. Politics aside, Karjakin seemingly one of the more underrated super GM's that I think would fair quite well within a Super GM tournament now although I'm just surprised at the lack of credit given to him.Nepo got swept by CarlsenCaruana couldn't roll out a win in their match and is notably far worse in faster time controls. If he wasn't such a dog for a putin he could be competing at the top right now, he style, like a lot of russian GM's has a lot of longevity and I want see how he fairs vs the new Indian pact.

>down almost 300 rating points from where I was a month and a half ago>rating only keeps going downTips on a painless suicide?Seriously though, I'm at my wits end. It feels like the harder I try the worse I do. I've tried everything I can think of. Took a break for a week, no change. Tried doing puzzles and warming up before jumping into rated games, no change. Tried playing OTB, no change.>inb4 you just weren't at that level to begin with and only got there by luckI'll acknowledge that I had a good run before I reached my peak at around 2270 but for the past few months I've hovered pretty consistently around 2100-2150. I'm at like mid 1900 now. I seriously have no idea what to do and at this point it's making my quality of life worse.
>>96383872have you analyzed your loses and figured out why you lose? you probably have some specific weakness that your opponents get "lucky" and manage to take advantage. maybe it's a specific opening or your endgame technique is bad or you're just not managing your time well.
I keep opening with a4 h4 and it makes my opponent freak the fuck out
>>96383949I do frequently get into time trouble, so I've tried going through routine recaptures and openings etc. quicker and that seems to help. Otherwise it just feels like completely random stuff. I mess up an opening here, I miss a tactic there, I make a blind blunder somewhere else.I'll also add that I tilt very easily and I'm certain that's contributed quite a bit.

Obvious cheater from a few days ago just got banned, thank you chess.com!
So I just played a guy. I played a pretty clean game and finished it with just 1 trade. But at the end the guy made a move that allowed me to mate in 1. But it's not a blunder? Just a mistake? It seemed like a borderline psychotic error to me when he played it. Was my position just too strong at that point and it was already mate in 3 or something if he played with stockfish tier accuracy? I'm relatively new so I don't know how to evaluate the strength of my position and I'm not letting chesscom jew me out of money.
>>96383872Do you think you're going to be able to reach Magnus tier or something? You're at the level where people plateau, simple as.
>>96383872Read more chess books,Only play incremental, and gain the self control to stop playing after you lose 3 in a row or you will blow all your gainz on tilt.

>>96388818It's because the position is completely winning for black. In one sided positions the computer thinks every move is fine because it doesn't change the evaluation much. Going from -4.2 to mate in one, shifts the evaluation just enough to be a mistake. If it was -7.0 or something it might only be considered an inaccuracy.

>>96383872>Took a break for a weekDon't do this.
All is well - I made it back up to 2100.Last opponent pulled a classic case of marginally outplaying me the entire game until they made a normal looking move in the endgame that actually turned out to be a blunder that they didn't see because they were low on time and didn't have time to calculate 10+ moves ahead. I feel your pain opponent, I've been there many times.
Finally got a physical tournament sized set. Tried using a combination of speech synthesis on Lichess through Edge and voice controls to move the physical pieces. Worked pretty well.
