Draw Steel has forced movement collision damage:https://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Rules/Chapters/Combat/#big-versus-littleI have been playing and running this game a lot for the past twelve months. Two of the strongest builds I have seen, a hakaan null (metakinetic) and a hakaan fury (either berserker or reaver), are so powerful in part because they can generate plenty of collision damage. They scale into the higher levels, too; for example, a null's Dynamic Power applies to their Gravitic Disruption, which was clarified during a Q&A stream to apply 1/creature/turn.https://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Rules/Classes/Null/#psi-boosthttps://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Rules/Classes/Null/#null-field_1The most dangerous enemies I have seen are those that can generate plenty of collision damage. An arixx is dangerous because its Claw Swing can vertical slide 3, and I have seen this repeatedly spammed to cause a TPK. Lord Syuul has a 2-Malice spend on his Tentacle Grab which likewise deals heavy collision damage. (Also, he can use a maneuver to pull up PCs to his flying position and then drop them.) When I ran Lord Syuul in my four-player, level 5 game, Tentacle Grab spam nearly overwhelmed the party.https://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Bestiary/Monsters/Monsters/Arixx/Arixxhttps://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Bestiary/Monsters/Monsters/Lord%20Syuul/Statblocks/Lord%20Syuul/https://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Rules/Conditions/Grabbed/Conversely, I have seen enemies with high Stability prove to be a major obstacle just because they can resist forced movement so well.https://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Rules/Chapters/Combat/#stabilityIt feels to me like forced movement is undervalued and underbudgeted by the system as a whole. It is handed out relatively cheaply, and yet it can be weaponized into a whole lot of damage. What do you think of the game's forced movement collision damage?
>>96419270yes we know. you posted extensively about it before. you also got laughed out of the community for it. we know that too. you posted about it
Further demonstration.Hakaan are size 1L, so anything size 1M (e.g. humans, orcs) is smaller than them, activating the Big Versus Little rule.Besides that, a 2nd-level null (metakinetic) has Inertial Sink. It makes them bigger than nearly everyone for many advantageous purposes (including Big Versus Little), and makes them resist forced movement collision damage.https://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Rules/Classes/Null/#inertial-sinkHere is a 2nd-level example: Hakaan null (metakinetic), Ratcatcher (Everybody Move!) title.https://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Rules/Titles/1st%20Echelon/Ratcatcher/#ratcatcherHakaan Forceful adds +1 forced movement, and Big Versus Little adds another +1 to melee weapon abilities, such as Knockback. Ratcatcher (Everybody Move!) makes their Knockback target three creatures (because remember, Inertial Sink practically makes them bigger than everyone else for this purpose), and being a metakinetic null means they can Knockback as part of Inertial Shield. If they have at least 2 discipline stored, their Knockback also adds +Intuition to the distance.https://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Rules/Classes/Null/#metakinetic-masteryAll of this is before Gravitic Disruption, which is yet another source of forced movement. Indeed, Inertial Shield into Knockback can trigger Gravitic Disruption all off-turn, and Gravitic Disruption is 1/creature/turn, so it can trigger again during another turn.A hakaan null is not even some unusual concept. The iconic null is a hakaan. It is not just a null who can do this. A fury can do something similar as well.https://www.reddit.com/r/drawsteelbuilds/comments/1mwh4p1/the_king_a_reaver_fury_forced_movement_build/So can enemies, such as an arixx and Lord Syuul, as mentioned above. I have also seen a fire giant chief deal tremendous damage due to collisions.https://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Bestiary/Monsters/Monsters/Giants/Statblocks/Fire%20Giant%20Chief/#fire-giant-chief
>>96419270I genuinely don't care about game mechanics to the depth you do, and it would never occur to me to do any of this. I wouldn't make a character whose skillset was ludicrous, and a pro-wrestling Irish Whip merchant would be so stupid I'd never consider it.
>>96419607>anon thinks she can stop 2hu
>>96419270I'm not particularly interested in Draw Steel, but I do think forced movement collision damage adds another tactical layer for making combat more engaging, so I have my own methods of doing so in my games.
>>96419707fuck
>>96419687Then let the people who are interested in game mechanics discuss them. There are plenty of in your settings worldbuilding and how do you handle the narrative of threads on the board right now, and hardly any for actual, functional mechanics for games.
>>96419661Oh, and Gravitic Disruption's collision damage can trigger Gravitic Disruption on another creature, so long as that 1/creature/turn limit is obeyed.>>96419750It is less "Irish Whip" and more "smashing two enemies into each other, or bashing one enemy into a wall or the floor."
>>96419607This is the most deluded newfag post on the whole damn site, and last night I saw a guy admit it was his first time posting on 4chan
>>96419857>I saw a guy admit it was his first time posting on 4chanWhy the fuck would you even admit to that. Was he baiting for (You)s or something?

>>96419995Ah I see we're going with the good ol' "Everyone on 4chan is the same person" cope.
>>96420008no i just think you are the OP
>>96420023You'd be wrong buddy, especially since OP always posts hoyoslop with every post he makes.
>>96420023And that's why you're retarded because I'm not even >>96419941 let alone the OP. You can also easily tell 2hu apart from others because he has an extremely specific and easily identified posting style.
>>96420042not every time no. the times they got standoffish they did not>>96420050mhm sure
>>96420092Concession accepted.
>>96419270have you ever made a proper analysis of the lite scifi genre gacha games have? as in distilled all the common overlapping tropes to be able to replicate the feeling of those worlds? would be interesting
Why would I care about collision damage and why would I care about Draw Steel in general?
>>96421139It's the best system on the market right now and collision damage is cool.
>>96419834Any impact that moves you bodily thirty feet should mortally wound you. Specific rules for anime "left a track in the ground" hits can't work on any level. It's exactly as retarded as an Irish Whip because in reality either you would simply stop under your own power or die.
>>96421305Go play a mudcore game then.
>>96419270Give me a reason to engage with you. I'm not your personal data mine.
>>96419270>Game by Fatt Coleville and James "Skeletor" Intracasso is broken on launchWho's surprised? Time to run one shots at the FLGS with multiple arixx continuously launching parties into the air until they ragequit the system. This is why folks who actually play games at tables play high trust systems once they learn to move beyond 5e.
>>96420092Shut up you dumbass newfag.
>>96419270Are you off your meds or something? You've made like 5 threads this week, give it a rest already.
>>96421893An arixx is a solo monster, so you would field only one of them. Furthermore, unless you are dealing with Agility 0, Stability 0 characters, you want to use the vertical slide 3 to slam PCs into the ground for object-based collision damage:https://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Rules/Chapters/Combat/#slamming-into-objectsAn important trick here is to use the Grab maneuver to help with targeting. This lets the arixx drag around PCs, assisting in achieving two targets for Claw Swing.
>>96421305That's fine for plausible fiction like historicals, or alternate history, but I like fantasy games, and so I'll include fantastical aspects in my fantasy games.>>96419834>Irish WhipI have no idea what that is, but my games do tend to involve smashing enemies into obstacles or each other as a viable tactic.
>>96419707Yes, the bronies of weebdom are unfortunately difficult to stamp out, though they do eliminate themselves 41% of the time.
>>96419707The craziest thing about 2hu is how immune he is to getting slammed on. That's a level of narcissism I'm frankly envious of. Being too autistic to give a fuck if people can't stand you. Damn.
>>96422596I'm the type of autistic that's extremely sensitive to other people's opinions. It makes life a living hell. Would trade.
>>96419924>groomercord screencapirrelevant to newfags not knowing 2hu>>96419888>Trips of truthI now choose to believe that he was he did, but it was OP post of a thread so I can't be sure.
>>96419661>>96419834Additionally, Psionic Martial Arts converts all of Knockback's pushes into slides:https://steelcompendium.io/compendium/main/Rules/Classes/Null/#psionic-martial-artsI am earnestly convinced that the null, particularly the metakinetic, is the one class with the highest optimization ceiling in the game.
>>96422596You have it the wrong way around anon. Narcissists can't stand to be disliked and can't stand differences in opinion.
>>96424894Don't narcissists love themselves too much to care what others think? Then what is a creature like 2hu called?
>>96428096>Don't narcissists love themselves too much to care what others think? They love themselves too much to consider other viewpoints as valid, they still crave affirmation and validation as most mentally ill freaks do.>Then what is a creature like 2hu called?Autistic.
>>96419270Honestly sounds like a cool system
