Paladins are cavalier-clerics, a dark knight would be a cavalier-necromancer (mage) and dragon knights from the other hemisphere are maidens trained as aeronaut-mage or aeronaut-fighter. While rare, this allows for both player and BBEG characters in these themes. It also provides very strict guidelines at the social level in-campaign and it's relatively easy to wash out of the attached organizations.
