Play 1 evolving wilds and hold priority as I rope my opponent on every interaction and laugh as they get increasingly mad and leave

What mono color is competitive in Standard?
I was using a mono green Timmy ramp dino but I want to switch to something better.

Something cheap and wouldn't cost me a shit ton of Wildcards.
Also nothing too complex that requires too many combos.
I was thinking of mono red direct damage spell spam, but IDK...

does brawl have some win % based matchmaking or something? i feel like any time i win a lot in a row i start to get put into cancer only matches for a while and conversely if i concede a bunch in a row i start getting put against n00bs playing mono white lifegain or some shit

No you're just bad at keeping track of what you're actually playing against or switching decks. It weighs cards and then finds similarly ranked decks as yours to pair you against.
>>
Having bad games? Try standing up and exclaiming, "Wizards of the Coast" out loud into your microphone to increase your User Engagement Score, this will make you more favored by the algorithm for better matches and a free cruise to Mythic, baby.
>>
>if your opponent is red, you win
they should just write this on the cards instead of pretending they exist for any other reason
>>
>>96434982
how do you change an opponent's color to make this card work? I'd prefer if mine were white.

I just played (and won) like an almost mirror match in jump in. We both had the same packs but at least 2 different cards. idk if he had more differences because he still had 13 cards in his deck at the end. It's weird because I didn't realize my 2 best cards, Susurian Voidborn and Liliana were a 50% drop and 20% drop. idk how this deck would work without those 2 cards. he had susurian but I killed it the first turn it was out with embrace obliion and he was winning but I drew vampiric ritual in my opening hand so I was able to out draw him. won with 3 cards left in my deck and I drew liliana my last turn but didn't have to play her to win. not sure if he had liliana. actually what's funny was I won because I kept hold of deadly plot all game because I was afraid of liliana and I used it my last turn to remove his flying defender which brought him low enough for me to voidborn spam him with sacking shit

it's really weird that one of this game's rigs is forcing you to play against the same deck in limited
i don't understand that one. must be data that shows this somehow leads to paypigging but that feels really counterintuitive to me

your rank, sis?
>>
>>96440851
It forces high tier decks to face off against other high tier decks. This prevents decks from going 7-0. This was most noticeable in Ikoria as cycle decks would face against other cycling decks as it was the strongest deck.

Historic Brawl is actually the second most popular format on Arena so it’s a bit odd they don’t give it more support. I wouldn’t be surprised if they give it a ranked mode at some point
>>
>>96440931
I have like 200 rare wc and 90 mythic and I don't even want to make any decks because alchemy is trash and standard is somehow even worse. Maybe I'll play standard again in a few sets when Vivi gets banned in November.

what are you talking about? I rarely gave to play money for jump in and if I ever paid real money on mtg arena it was back in like 2018 or 2019. I make enough in game money on jump in I can just rebuy for jump in. they constantly give me free jump in tickets and I have like 130k in game currency
>>
why the fuck is roping so common in this game? are there any formats where people don't rope? I'm just trying to play mythic standard and get my daily wins with a shitty sultai mill deck, why rope against me of all people
>>
>>96445634
I think ropers are more frequently paired against ropers. You must remember to the concede the game because if you exit out the game without conceding you'll still be in the match and the game will consider you roping.
>>
>>96445634
the lower iq the format is, the more low iq players there will be therefore more roping

You have terrible opinions about magic but you are right that it is very underrated. It has a lot of things that other formats do not have, like staple cards that are actively more powerful when you are on the draw and is pretty balanced with a lot of viable archetypes.

Arena's version of Spider-Punk
>>
>>96448065
It's a 1/1 so you want to look for an opportunity to force it into a fight.
If you're an aggressive deck, you want to ignore the bat and attack, the opponent will eventually be forced to block.
If you are forced into a prolonged fight, you have to remember these rules
-the dedicated discard deck revolves around Bandit's talent. This means that you may never have less than 2 cards in your hand or bad things happen.
-the discard deck does very little damage. You have to be patient and accumulate cards in your hand and then deploy and protect your win condition later.
-you must use either card draw or 2 for 1 cards like Hallowed Healer that bring things back from the graveyard or that spawn tokens.
-creature lands are particularly useful because they serve as lands and then turn into creatures when you need them later
-the discard deck is really heavy on attacking creatures in particular and tends not to handle artifacts and enchantments very well

Whatever version of this thing you want to use. Monoblack Unholy Annex + whatever will remain relevant until 2027.
Aclazotz has been a major part of it and he works with Dubious Delicacy as well, doubling it from 3 damage to 6 damage. The rest of this particular deck are just piles of whatever I've got lying around, pick whatever black strong cards you want.
