Like Entrenchment would be stepping on Bulletproof Skin's niche because then you are just relying on Entrenchment to work in melee range where its weakest, it's really only an option if you think that projectiles are a particular vulnerability of your build. Like maybe if I became a Giant with JNPL as my mother it'd be a great option cause I'd worry more about getting sniped vs a sword the size of a toothpick slicing me up but even still its expensive.
