>a grown man roleplaying a female character
>>96455057What if the grown man doing that is a cute twink tho.
>>96455068What if the grown man is roleplaying a cute twink?
>>96455091Hmmm...............I'd make a DMNPC of a hot dominant seductress and target his PC exclusively, i think.
>>96455057If you can play elves you can play girls.
A greentext OP is probably /tg/'s biggest red flag.
>>96455057>the player posts red flag threads on /tg/Honestly can't think of a bigger one
>>96455057>Grown men having Cosmo quizzes intended for 13 year-old girls to decide who is cool
>>96455057Somebody has to play themYou want a real red flag it's>women at the table
>>96455057What's wrong with playing a girl? I wanna look at a cute elf girl when I draw and think about what would cute elf girl do in a situation. You seem to want to imagine playing men and imagining men. That sounds gay, anon...
>>96455057"red flag" has become a bit of a misnomer, nowadays what you wanna avoid is a rainbow flag
>>96455057Red flags in rpgs:An adult roleplaying a childA person roleplaying an anthropomorphic animalA grown woman roleplaying a manA human roleplaying an elf or a dwarfA short person roleplaying a tall personA fat person roleplaying a fit personA white person roleplaying a black personA black personAn AI roleplaying as a humanAn anthropomorphic animal roleplaying as a human
>>96456997>t. retard who never played with anyone
>>96455057Yep thats why my setting doesn't have women only men.
>>96457086Then why is she gross and stinky most of the times?
>>96455057- Anyone playing WotC-published D&D- Anyone playing Nu40k- Anyone playing Age of Sigmar
Bitch ass people playing roles in a roleplaying game tick me off as well.
>Freaks out about having a social meetup to hash out what the campaign will be like. It's amazing how people will tell on themselves when you bring it up, whether they're an autist who just wants to get down to business or an asshole enraged at the idea of other people being allowed to set boundaries.
>>96455057Yeah! Fuck GMs who do this. I only want MEN in my fantasy.
>>96457156>A black person
>>96457156I'm racist but blerds are some of the coolest people you'll ever meet.
>>96457353N-Not true! She's clean at this very moment! Just look at her!
>player is an active redditor>player mentions some meme they saw on bluesky>before the game has even started or been discussed in any way, player is proposing their character build and what kind of special powers and options they want me to allow
The matter of the fact is that red flags don't matter. It's red flags all the way down. You just need the strength as a GM to kick out problem makers, or if you are a player to call out problem makers and to just walk away if nobody wants to kick them out.
>>96457086Nta, but I am a little bit gay yes.
My friend has played one (1) male character out of over 50 I remember. All the rest have been female characters with vaguely similar looks (might just be his artstyle) but also very diverse things from monsters to mundane humans. He doesn't roleplay them with voices or anything, nor has he (except once) had his female characters do anything sexual. IRL he is asexual, aromantic, etc. I don't know if I should expect him to come out as trans in a few years. Tbh it's not even really my business but it does make me wonder. I can understand playing a female character once in a while, for me it's a big no-no as a PC, as an NPC certainly, and I do admit enjoying it. It is nice, on 2 steps of removal (both "it isn't me" and "it isn't even supposed to be a proxy of me") to play a female character. It's nice to include cute girls in your setting, as well as just normal women who would be part of the setting and any DM would include. When I used to DM for my dad it was intensely awkward to include ANY female NPCs and I only did so once. Now that I am older, in my early 30s instead of mid teens, that awkwardness is gone. But I still will not play a female PC, nor do I really feel any desire to.
