Which game do you think has the best ability scores?
>>
>>96467611
Savage Worlds.
>>
>>96467622
How is Savage Worlds any better than D&D? All they did was combine Wisdom and Intelligence into Smarts.
>>
>>96467682
No, they broke Wisdom into two, giving some of it to Intelligence and calling it Smarts then took the rest and gave it to Charisma a nd called it Spirit. Which is what D&D should have done 30 years ago.
>>
>>96467611
Shadow of the Demon Lord for fewer, or something like Chronicles of Darkness for more.
>>
>>96467611
Honor+Intrigue, in that all of its core stats aren't just useful, but combat useful.
>>
>>96467611
I am digging Draw Steel's setup.
>>
>>96467611
Whatever system has charisma as what it actually is, instead of trying to bundle it into some mystical magic ability.
So dnd pre sorcerer works pretty well.
>>
>>96467611
Not a tabletop RPG, but I think Warcraft 3 has the best. Strength, Dexterity, Intellect. All of them are useful on all heroes, though some are more beneficial to some than others.
>>
>>96467611
I like how mongoose traveller splits intelligence and education.
>>
>>96467611
I like how 2nd edition Unknown Armies works.

Hell, like how 3rd edition UA works too, but that's a divisive take.
>>
>>96467821
That sounds dumb. Intelligence is not Wisdom. The ability to retain and catalogue information is not the same as the ability to apply it practically.

Only correct answer.

My homebrew.
>>
>>96467611
exalted has some of the best i ve seen. seconding honor and intrigue as well.
for dnd like stat arrays i prefer the rq/mythras way of using size. my only pet peeve with the system is the lack of perception as a stat and possibly a dedicated arcana stat for casting

Shadowrun 4/5/6e.

Agility
Body
Reaction
Strength

Charisma
Intuition
Logic
Willpower

Splits up Intelligence and Dexterity from being god stats, undoes the vagueness about Wisdom by splitting it between Willpower and Intuition. Also makes Luck (Edge) and Magic its own ability rating so that being intelligent or charismatic - two things that are already absurdly good in the setting - doesn't also give you wizard powers.
