You do mention archaeological evidence of Jesus Christ, a claim I cannot confirm in cursory google-research which is odd given the gravity of the claim, and odder because that would be THE relic of our times. No other evidence would indicate anything about the wound through Longinus and that leads me to the conclusion you are presenting confused thoughts. Correct me if I am wrong.

>>96474059Europeans still laugh at Americans for screaming “oh my bad is sixteen and he is twenty four ITS A PEDOOOO” as though fourteen year olds in mainland Europe aren’t sexing grown men. Humans are retarded for thinking teens aren’t humans too.
>>96474063Convinces people of what? Why can't just state characters to be underage like Tankista for example. He has a 14 year old player engage in sexual relations with another character. Even Italics has mature content with young characters in his CYOAs.Why do they make it 18+ if these two don't do it?
>>96474119Because they’re likely American authors? Everything >>96474117 said is 100% accurate. For some reason Americans think teenagers don’t have horny thoughts until they turn eighteen. They’re terrified of being seen as creepers.
A fourteen year old “groupie” had sex with David Bowie when he was in his twenties and she still brags about it to this day. “Haha I lost my virginity to a famous musician coveted by endless women and you didn’t haha”.
Looks like we got Silksong before Exalted Conquest.
>>96474207>>96474165The issue lies with the adult that gives in to being with a teen as they should know better.

>>96474220It's a sidescrolling platformer about a loud skinny bug woman, and the sequel released seven years later to Hollow Knight, which was also a sidescrolling platformer but the main character was a silent short bug man. There's a lot of voice acting in a gibberish-sounding bug language. For some reason, Silksong was so heavily anticipated that it crashed Steam's servers for several hours on release. Exalted Conquest is also heavily anticipated but I was convinced we'd get it before Silksong actually released.
>>96474234>He's backDidn't you die from cancer?
>>96473366I'd most likely still go for a hybrid caster/martial build (heavily leaning towards the caster side), depending on the options available to me. Icon of Icons is a must.First thing I'd do is travel the world looking for mentors and increasing my skillset and power in any way I can. And just enjoy life, really. At some point during all this I'm going to try to "invent" some common earth objects. I don't want to shit in an outhouse for the next hundred years. Then I unite the humans of the Dorian continent under my banner, train and uplift them, and start bullying other races into doing the things that I want and not doing the things that I don't want. True Dragons are probably my first stop, but Elves and other groups with nasty propensities like slavery are soon after. Going after immortal races first, I would hope that the Elder Gods would tip the scales slightly in my favor.I wouldn't place any particular preference on becoming a hero or villain within the story. I'd imagine that your view on that would depend on who you are and how much I've fucked you over/helped you, and how the story develops.I'm not sure how Vtorusha would slot in at this point, but I'd probably oppose her because it'd be more fun to do so. A magitech arms race sounds fun. Whether I die and she wins, or she dies and I win, or we both die and no one wins, or we talk it out, it'd be more interesting than just siding with her.If I live long enough, I will probably also oppose Aat on the basis that we both want power and our goals naturally conflict. Not to mention the creation of demon lords was huge mistake. After that, the timeline has changed too much to really say anything more about it. I guess Savmak would probably oppose me but he's a jobber.>words words wordsEssentially I'd just stir shit up until someone kills me

This goes for both boys and girls but happens more often with girls for obvious reasons.
These CYOA really are slop; pure slop, but they are bite sized and easily digestible. Which I'm kind of down for every now and again. Anyway Beholder-er A general GeneralExplorer Suit. Beholders are bullshit magical death machines at a base level, getting to shit out a hive of them is pretty insane. >>96474577Law does not always equal morality or what is right. A grown woman and a grown man will have already developed enough to realize and understand the consequences of their actions. Teens do not have a developed prefrontal cortex which hinders thinking in long-term planning and understanding consequences. The way the world perceives women in general should be enough of an alarm to know what taking advantage of them early will lead to in their future, not to mention the law limiting what teens are even able to do on their own forcing them to be reliant on an adult.>>96474588>sixteen year old slut who wants cock in her mouthThis says it all right here. Marriage was not out of love but survival and even then deaths through childbirth was one of the biggest reasons for human mortality. In countries where women are given more freedom you're going to see far less pair ups of adults and teens. Older women will often tell their daughters and granddaughters of today that one of their biggest mistakes in life was getting married and having children so young. When divorce was made legal for women to do they quickly left the sides of their husbands as soon as they could. Diaries, documentaries and historical documents detailing on how these girls wanted to get away from thier husband's, poisoning them, creating shelters for others, etc.

It sounds like we're all finally in agreement.Daemonhost > Icon of Icons > All-Glimpse
>>96476477Can you actually make genuine friends? do you have the emotional capacity to form meaningful bonds with others? if not, don't bother.
If Aat, who spawned the demon race by proxy, was still beholden to Xian and literally couldn't defy him, can it be assumed that Majin is a trap option that gives whichever Majin spawned you the same control over you?
>>96476504Even Savmak could, that grump!
>>96476491>Except for All-Glimpse because Tankista decided that was a good idea for some reason.Balancing adjustment as All-Glimpse is too weak to be a 5 point gift otherwise.

>>96476509hnghnhgn
>>96476505No. Xian had special hax that no other majin gets. That wasn't his only one either.

>>96476479>jobro used joblow!>its super effective!
>>96476504Anon all the most important people in the world are linked to you by Fate and Encounters, they're easy boosts no matter what
>>96476511People are definitely undervaluing Daemonhost but this is clearly a measure to restrict the synergy between them that would be absolutely gameshattering.
>>96476506>Humph, you are not my companions, you are only the instruments in my path to conquer Doria... Idiots...I see why [YMRD] likes him now
>>96476505Adding another readlet card to my collection...Only Majin spawned via Daemonhost are controlled. Xian's letter's ability allows him to spawn Majin who also have Daemonhost.
>>96476505No, because that doesn't apply to natural born (sex and impregnation method) Majin. And i'm not even sure if you can actually be a Daemonhost spawned one.
>>96476505In addition to this >>96476514 that doesn't apply to born Majin anyway. You're not given the option to be a spawned Majin, unless that's what's happening if you take Aat as your dad.
>>96476511The real reason is balance. Instantly spawning loyal companions on demand that can love you with very little effort would be very broken. He later reasoned that Majin come from the Midnight point while Icon of Icons alongside Mithra powers come from the Midday Point so they cannot mix.
>>96476521Xet was definitely subjugated by two different demon lords. It's not clear how that worked, but it happened.
This was Xian's other big cheat.
>>96476524Wait, is this why taking Aat as your dad is free?
>>96476454>>96476455Oh, I see. I need to have starsight x2 to understand this hidden meaning that isn’t written anywhere.>>96476464As if you are playing in third person with a render distance limit.
>>96476530They'd need to be real friends, not just people who have magically enforecd loyalty to you. Royal Claim and Noble Inclination have way more synergy with it.
>>96476517Anon read Icon of Icons again, they need to be "genuinely close friends" for the boost to take effect. Fate only ensures they meet you and have positive first impression with you, if you treat them like a power-farm they have no obligation to stay.
>>96476530It was a nice attempt at balance, but Icons of Icons can make friends with Daemonhosts who spawn BFFs for them while the synergy doesn't go the other way around.
>>96476537True, but Aat was and is incredibly beloved by the Majin.
>>96476536>vidyafag can not read and is appalled at the prospect of being forced to by his giftmany such cases
>>96476517Our hero, everyone!
>>96476534No? He won't have any control over you he doesn't Demonhost spawn you, he specifically impregnates a mother. He's probably 0 beause fores you to a Dark Elf mother and doesn't raise you.
>>96476548>absentee father means you get super strong gifts for free and only have to pay adoption feeDoesn't add up
>>96476537The Majin you create are literally one year olds that are fully mature and have nothing going for them except their letter autism. Just treating them well and being friendly will likely be enough for them to naturally love you. Just look at Aes to see how a recently spawned Majin would latch onto someone.
>>96476544Because he was awesome not just a Demon Lord. Vtorusha was also very beloved, people still even sing bout her.
>>96476484>>96476488As a meaningless powergamer build, yes. I've already done worse in the pursuit of power I suppose.>>96476491I don't think non-limb gifts are subject to that rule though. Second Wind for example can proc right after you heal back fully, and Icon of Icons being overused seems to be counterproductive to its whole scaling thing its got going on. Would it be like a toggle of boosting your power for a bit and it wears off or what cause I can't imagine how it'd work with a limitation like that.>>96476494>>96476502You're so right, if the Gods didn't want me to take it, they wouldn't have put in in the Outsider System.
>>96476551actually it really really does disregard me
>>96476548Mother who gives you points too like all Dark Elven parents
>>96476511Yes, but Kalliope probably has Icon of Icons herself, going by the word choice in her description and the fact that all her relatives with visible descriptions have it. Nothing is preventing your Majin from buffing her.
>>96476551Have you looked at how much point every dad gives? Aat (Xian) is not even one of the most "unbalaanced" ones.
>>96476558It’s true, it wouldn’t be in there if it werent intended

>>96476551>Immaculate conception might be a miraculous thing, but it is also incredibly suspicious. Even more so if the child comes out favouring the father's side.
>All-Glimpse companion costs 3 points>Icon of Icons companion costs 3 point>Strong majin companions, not even daemonhosts, cost 4 or 5 pointsAdd it all together: Daemonhost is the strongest gift.
>>96476571There were like two or three Outsiders who were not stupid.
>>96476581All glimpse and Icon of Icons is useless if it’s on someone else and not (you)
>>96476543>Oh, I'm only your friend because dad demon lord told me to.Remember that they need to be genuinely close friends for it to work. It is the power of hope after all.
>>96476589Just form a shared pantheon, should work well enough. Bonus points if its tide cooperation
>>96476570>only the Mud still think that she was rightJust like only the Majin loved Aat? The point still is, being a Demonhost doesn't give you the love of the people, being an awesome force of (good) change does. Xian was the first Demon Lord and wasn't loved, yet Aat was.All Daemonhost do is make people loyal, not your friends, that's basically what 0^0 has now, loyal people and no friends.
>>96476589If you can't befriend and inspire hope in newly spawned Majin then don't even bother taking Icon of Icons
>>96476574>just adoption baitYou can say that about like, half of the parents.

>>96476589Good thing there are no beloved heirs to, say, a human empire that for the first time in history has granted Majin citizenship and is defending all the magical races against the threat of genocide. That sort of character might naturally inspire hope in a people whose major theme is wanting to be something other than history's eternal villain for a change.
>>96476628Charlie was able to do it, so can I.
>>96476629I'm fated to learn the language by the Outsider system so that wouldn't happen.
>>96476614Please understand, this is an anon-level autist we're dealing with. Even newly spawned Majin designed to be his friend will sense that he's a red flag and remain acquaintances at most.
>>96476572Why would you feel bad about them anon? They are simply letters given human form.Their feelings are not real and don't matter. If they hurt themselves and cry they are defective, if they 'fall in love' and make children then they are increasing your ranks for free, and if they try to leave you just extract their letter and summon a new version of them without that pesky personality. It's what they were designed to be after all.

Of Dorian powers I'll prioritize the interests of the Empire, they're the primary anti-Charlie force with the bastion in Tsoshu. Xaxas: tries to provoke war between Dragon Realm and Empire. Mada: advocates conciliation with Charlie, will probably just end up Charlie stooge in practice. Mor: pandemonium. Hladvig Tehom: tries to fuck up Doria to create opportunities for plots. Kuz'ma Ordo-Dorian: pro-Charlie. Maybe Jdan will mind, if he finds out I assigned him a death? Eh fuck it, Jdan probably won't find out. Sawarmag: will try to secede from the Empire. Makariy: pandemonium. Opoia: pro-Charlie. Alisa: murders a lot, possibly some important people. Gwriel: defeatist, pushes Empire for random wars. Rhucuphre: pandemonium. Alezandre: Tenebrae terrorist. If turned to animal, he'll hopefully continue living for a while, mindlessly, so the curse won't pass on soon. Du'um: close to pandemonium, generally dangerous unless harnessed.
>>96477357>Du'um C: Tsy (leaves and never appears again in this story)I'm not sure why you'd use Tsy with malice, ever. That said, it's actually lethal again when applied to Pixies because of their unique immortality.

That means that it works for the normal purposes of malice (this bothered me when I was trying to find a good letter for Zu'us). Malice is for taking down characters who are an undesired influence in the world, however, Tsy means that they still influence the world, they're just not in touch with you. Since Malice is usually a death note for killing people that you are unlikely to naturally kill, you're just repeating your lack of intention to interact with that person which is the default relationship between nearly all people on the planet. You're not changing anything.

What even is a worthy goal for OR?If you are trying to do what's best for everyone, you ought to help 0^0 genocide the immortal races to help the ascension plan along. If you are trying to make the world a better place, you would need to do the same so there is no more need for challenger races like the Majin, then exterminate Uruks. But the gods would probably topple that anyway to keep the fun coming. So you are reduced to picking a challenge and going with it. Battling 0^0 is worthy indeed but she is literally doing the Gods work and though she is almost done she is in no position to actually challenge the gods or even the world after Orthrung ... the expanded races really make that clear. Sure there is some minor harm in her making too many empyreans but she stopped. The other challenges I came up with are stealthily transcending by infiltrating her empyrean elites and otherwise stacking mentors with Vedi so the next Outsider can take her down as a side quest, or uniting humanity. This second one is actually rather easy because tank designed a path for it involving omega, but ultimately that's just an arbitrary bout of tribalism as well because 0^0 is ultimately solving the ascension game by bringing the world to the modern era of mostly independent warring humanities (Underdwellers don't really change much about the equation).Maybe the 6th truly was the most enlightened Outsider.

But why is that the case. Might well just be some dramatic incitement because ultimately charlottes impact is just the synthesis of 2 things the gods played with over the course of the entire known history: getting rid of long lived races and uniting humanity and then splitting it by ill fate. Kind of like what they had happen on Poluden with the eternal religious wars. I don't see why Charlotte would be a threat to that.JPNL pretends to be dead and that the Elder Gods couldn't end the Ecumene with a snap but breaks character so I don't necessarily trust her presentation on that.
>>96477357Greater Yus on Alezandre. Fate dictates that it actually works, it's hard for him to end up any worse than he is, and there's a chance it also works on his curse and neutralizes it for good.
>>96477583Charlotte specifically wants to destroy meaning and purpose because she is having a temper tantrum. She blames Providence for why her life sucked instead of her own actions, so she wants to destroy it while blaming everyone (except herself) for their problems. The hidden text on the Ecumene (which is mostly blather) does also state people living there slave away in wagecuck hell, like a miserable pointless corporate job. If you subscribe to the theory that the Elder Gods LET her ascend, then the Meaning is not derived from her control but in what her Ascent Means to her soul and the souls of the people who oppose her, like yours. And in that view the eventual goal is her loss, so she and you and everyone else can continue gaining Meaning.
>>96477552Didn't really respond to the second half of this. Jdan is stuck in the Muddish kali yuga and can't halt the destined descent of his people. That does include the Ecumene but can't be extrapolated on all the world.Charlotte is struggling to hold Mamet, her hordes of Morlocks are really not all that scary, she managed to catch a bloody nose against the elves, the actual permajobbers of the setting for a thousand years. And towards the end of that thousand years of only descending without a single step forward too!Meanwhile humanity is the strongest it has been since the Second, and the Empire actually never had a set back yet - all while humans are meant to take over from the long lived races anyway
>>96477601What Charlotte wants or doesn't want or what she thinks she is doing isn't really all that relevant. The wagecuck hell narrative holds a point but clashes with the simultaneous total war narrative AND the simultaneous insane independence in her governance extensively described in the extended races. She is basically only gathering cadres of elite empyreans, charging her icon of icons by demanding worship in the continent most prone to religious schisms and secret continuation of religions, and sending mook armies of Morlocks around. So which one is it, total war, meaningless waging or enough independence to fool everyone down there into liking her?
>>96477604>all while humans are meant to take over from the long lived races anywayPoint of order, the Elder Gods literally only wanted to get rid of elves. They don't want to touch Beastmen or Underdwellers, who live longer than humans but are mortal. Made no specific moves against Pixies and Aranea who only got fucked as collateral. Didn't even try to wipe out Asura and Daeva, humans gaining control back from them was literally an Asura's own personal plot. I don't think they're prioritizing humans at all, they just don't like agelessness.
>>96477617>So which one is it, total war, meaningless wagingYou do realize a war is conducted at home too, right? She can't literally send all her people into battle, for every army there are even MORE people back hope handling production and supply, and those people themselves need civilian industries and services to support them.
Humans are durable enough to suffer tremendously while weak enough to die in myriad exquisite manners.
>>96477583>>96477617Left unopposed, while the present material conditions are still Meaning-generating, I think 0^0's World Conquest will naturally just, leave only one possible conclusion for everyone else? She's reducing a multipolar world into a singularly focused on her world with the Antikrator Cult. Subjectively, I feel like it would cleave away a lot possible conclusions, identities, roles for people. Induce jobbing for eternity if the conclusions are carried naturally.
>>96477647Granted.Meanwhile after deciding god is dead and I am free I have concluded that there's value in pulling a Sarmat and cleaning up lesser evils. Or righting the historical wrong done to the Sierogrivians by the m*ddish first and the southlanders second.Though that feels like pussying out of the bigger issue.>>96477657In the trinity of "they are loyal because they are granted freedom", "they are living meaningless lives of oppression" and "there is a literal world war happening" there is tension between all three even if not necessarily in the cherrypicked most compatible two.>>96477671I don't think that would be the case because there is still struggle within the Ecumene because, again, her subjects are organized in those loose Ordinates rather than a feudal (or corporate) system. Though I like the "unite everyone as much as possible to oppose her" aspect too. Less about beating her and more about giving people as much meaning in opposing her as possible.
>>96477690Living in wagecuck hell is a blessing when you used to live in a giant salt-cavern underground with no food except cave moss and your brother's dead body. Morlocks are pretty much the perfect people to accept a corporate dystopia because anything is an improvement over their former material conditions.
>>96477664So true, I fucking hate dragons.
>>96477664>>96477706Turn into a shota and get domesticated already.
>>96477702Doesn't track. They have been on the surface in charge of a significant empire with races in chattle slavery for 450 years.
>>96477713Those chattel races were in the middle of rising up and genociding them.
>>96477718I realized I can't argue against the in-universe outcome
>>96477690I think a synthesis of that trinity would be something along the lines of "They are loyal because they are granted freedom, and through that freedom would they choose meaningless lives of oppression, because the world is wrong and so must they sacrifice and suffer strife until the world is right."But besides that, like I agree, there's still meaning in existing under her rule, but the Ecumene seeks to make their existence be the universal meaning. It's an ecumene. By seeking to claim everything, they're limiting what everything could be. Every soul has to grind out Meaning out of a little bit fewer possible beginnings and ends, and they'll walk into their doom in perpetuity because 0^0 promises a material utopia.
>>96477728Just remember that everything was Providence until the minute Charlotte went up there and killed JNPL, and that includes the Morlocks getting genocided by vengeful Gnomes and Charlotte going to help both of them out, which she'd be up to before her ascent.
>>96477739She doesn't want to let them reincarnate either, making their own personal accrual of meaning and Ascent impossible. That's the entire point of the Evdokia experiment, to try and make a heaven to block the cycle.
>>96477739>>96477741So if the ultimate goal then is to maximize struggle, is splitting up the Ecumene by inciting the weaker links (Underdwellers, Kristi) or reviving the Mithras cult for the 78234658th time the play?Unifying the rest of the world and leading them to victory seems to be the wrong choice because it would just make you a mirror then.Aat did basically that for the entire existence of Majin.
>>96477770>it would just make you a mirror thenYou're under Providence so you're specifically not a mirror, since you're bringing JNPL back. Don't expect your empire to be eternal though, it's only going to last long enough to be remembered for another thousand+ years as a Golden Age that can influence everyone, inspire lots of new plot threads, and add so much to the story.
>>96477760Personally, the Heaven that she's clearly pursuing is probably objectively materially good for everyone, so I can't judge her that much for it. I'm optimistic that people will end up just grinding something out of it out of whatever margins escaped Charlie's notice.>>96477770Just have a way to remove 0^0 from the board for a while, and let the natural conclusions of her beliefs and methods play out. JNPL would be the whats on the tin, Providence and Meaning, and a God to trust in for a beneficial outcome. >>96477901If someone is just interested in the narrative of conquest/unity, they can write a good story without playing into the prophecy. If someone is interested in mainly in trying to fit all the prophecies at once with conquest/unity as a consequence, then it's less about being a compelling story and more about creating an autism lore masterstroke. Are you SRTR or YMRD, basically.
>>96477906Yeah, that aligns. To make matters worse I also made a SRTR build and if a JNPL build didn't sound dreadfully boring I'd make it for autistic completionism too.Though I accept circumventing prophecies I am not really familiar with stories that actually manage to negate them? Isn't the general gist usually that fate catches up with you, like the death letters in OR do when you don't make them impossible.Especially with kingship it is even more important because the loyalty of the people may depend on it. See: the Citrines specifically being satisfied with Charlotte for the golden hue despite her not being male. If a golden hue'd male comes along and pretends to be the avatar of redacted there would be an immediate schism to abuse. Same without the dynastic claims and all the other qualifiers.

So we run into the "kick a parent out of your life" issue.>>96478068I need 1 seed AP for that. I guess I can do that by taking away one of my gifts temporarily (in accounting terms.) 2 DP/1 AP -> 2 DP/2 AP -> 2 DP/1 AP (after rebuying the gift.) Then I could buy another companion slot. The only Companion who could go in it would be Su'uq, but I'd need to tutor her in my language. The result would be 2 DP/0 AP, because I only spent 3 of my original 5. So there's still a 2 DP waste, even if I did some more tortured accounting there's no more 0 DP Companions. Or instead of buying Su'uq, I could fill the slot with the 1 DP/2 AP Uruk. The result then is 3 DP/2 AP. I could then buy 1-2 more Gifts, or buy a Mentor slot, and the Mentors I could put in there would be any 2 slot who can speaking either of my languages or any 1 slot period.
>>96478116That said I honestly don't know if my build can take out a Troll at 16 or not, no physical gifts at all.
>>96478116Do you really have to always have 0 or more points? Isn't it just ending with 0+?

>>96478111>Who's "Declarant"?The archangel Gabriel, perhaps? With his hand broken from the backlash of playing the Trumpet (of the apocalypse)? Or maybe to prevent him from playing it further?
>>96478132
>>96478124>>96478126In practical terms taking away one gift temporarily is actually irrelevant to the final result. Whether I go from 2 DP/0 AP -> 0 DP/-1 AP -> 2 DP/1 AP, or +1 AP-> 2 DP/1 AP -> 0 DP/0 AP -> 2 DP/2 AP -> 2 DP/1 AP, as you can see, the actual end result is the exact same. So that accounting is the least important bit of my post. In actuality my choices are put simply getting Su'uq but having 2 waste DP I can't do anything worthwhile with, not even Uruk slot trading, or getting one more 1-2 cost Mentor of my choice and having none or at most 1 waste DP.

Dad is possible but like I said, just wouldn't feel happy about doing it.>Are the languages definitely 100% optimalNo, it's Everman/Old Northern Bilingual. It's absolutely possible to get more out of both, but that involves changing my characters. Everman is Everman, but C-slot Old Northerners don't teach me or do anything I want outside the one I already have (Feodrwa) so they're not getting swapped in. Or wait, I can Quieten Old Northern instead of Spriggan or Fay, use my 2 remaining DP to tutor the two characters who spoke it in Everman, and via bilingual Spriggan/Fay have 4 AP without losing anything. If I wanted to take away Savmak's Yee I could turn that into more AP or a Mentor and some left over, but I am hesitant to do that. Or just spend the points on magic feet or hands or something. >>96479431I ran out of words to describe my build in the first post:The idea here is to use God-Script verses/song to fight. If 0^0 was damaged by wordplay, and verses make God-Script stronger, then a song with verses and wordplay should be the strongest. Essentially I'm challenging people to rap battles. I have untimeskipped Kilyn, Alisa, Lukag, and Keter, so I can do this right away. Kilyn allows me to immediately start crafting the perfect God-Script diss track to kill 0^0.Mental/caster gifts are obviously necessary here, and Icon of Icons is just good. Kneeling Twilight gives me more time to come up with lyrics. Last Breath allows me to keep casting without stopping to breathe. Oculus of Human Goodness and Stifling of Arms makes it very hard to fight me directly. I'm not sold on a specific Autoantecedence effect, but making it so that it also works when I look at them (rather than only working when they look at me) seems good. >>96479712{3 of 5}>Plans and build interactions(MOONMAN, DEMONIC NIGHTMARE MAKER, SPEEDSTER SPIDER, HERO OF JUSTICE, VEË, JÖTUNNSDROTTNINGGEN, GOKU SASUKE MASTER CHIEF KAKAROT, AURUM ARC THE GOLDEN FINGER)3 main themes:1. Begging other Outsiders for introductions to their Mentors. In any particular case the introduction might not work at all, or if it does it isn't supposed to be as good as actually having them as Mentors, but it's something.2. Long-term repayment of favors for the above.3. Cowardice. Avoidance of great risks, desperate postponement of final death.(Early life in Dis, before lichification:)UNNOTABLE LICH (UL) is born in world Az, in Dis, to Unnotable parents (probably poor), as a sickly and seemingly blind (All-Glimpsing) Muddish. As soon as age allows (if possible, before the goblin Encounter at 6 years age), UL attempts to reach out to Thaumiel. If successful, UL introduces himself as an 11th Outsider, gives assurance of anti-Charlie attitude, asks Thaumiel for living funds and for a training regime for general improvement.Thaumiel is the foremost anti-Charlie actor at this time, she should agree without further prompt. At some point during UL's childhood, outsider MOONMAN (also starts in Dis) visits and causes a bizarre magical event that fulfills UL's parents' death letters, but with the parents essentially surviving. That is fine by UL, the letters needed fulfilling somehow, it's better if it happens under controlled circumstances. When UL has opportunity to speak with MOONMAN, he begs MOONMAN to introduce him to MOONMAN's Mentor contacts (Jdan, Mlada, Spako. Not sure about Dirk Yesod, he might be pissy about UL's association with Thaumiel. Gwriel is awkward since he was originally one of UL's Malice targets, but might be worth trying anyway). If the planet is ever overrun by Uruks as one Anon theorized, UL might have an advantage on Moonman's Moon colony, not needing to breathe.
>>96479713Additional death letters, if you don't have all of them.
>>96479728{4 of 5}Outsider DEMONIC NIGHTMARE MAKER (DNM) also starts in Dis. She used True Love on her Mentor Thaumiel, she should be found with her at some point. UL begs DNM for introduction to DNM's other Mentor contact, Seo (who mentors for demonic undeath). UL obviously plans to turn into a lich, so if it works out it's a clear fit educationally.Outsider GOKU SASUKE MASTER CHIEF KAKAROT also starts in Dis, but there's not much to be gained from him at this time. He has no mentors. GOKU has a Royal Claim to both Malkuth and Old Throne. Pressing a claim to Malkuth would go badly, and as he chose to be Muddish this probably isn't the aim. Would it go much better with Old Throne? Or are the Royal Claims incidental? With his Ameno, GOKU is bound to stir up trouble, but UL can only later see what comes of it.The remaining outsider in Dis is SPEEDSTER SPIDER. No Mentors unfortunately. UL can try and research a cure to Bitter Sickness, this would be a big reputational boost, but he doesn't have the Encounter and can't guarantee he'll be in Dis at the time of the outbreak, which is supposed to be the prime time to develop the cure.Once UL is learned and tall enough (he needs long skeletal legs for the Esurient Walk), UL kills himself and becomes a lich. Yat + Zemlya.(Travels after lichification:)Lichification entails obvious social problems, but some of the aquaintances made so far should mitigate that. With lvl 3 Esurient Walk and no physical fatigue, UL becomes able to travel long distances in a day. The wear on the bones from running can be repaired with Deathless Grasp. Now the 4 remaining 11th outsiders in world Az can be reached.
>>96479732{5 of 5}UL visits outsider HERO OF JUSTICE (originally on the tropic islands) and begs for introduction to his Mentor Keter, although that's more for making contacts with the notables of the era than for learning anything, as UL's death slot is gone and Keter's advice there isn't needed. Regardless of everyone else's long term plans, HERO OF JUSTICE is the only one working on the Charlie problem in the present, so UL may have to help out there somehow.UL visits outsider VEË (originally in the North) and begs for introduction to her Mentors (Feodwra and Zu'us. Upunth isn't a good fit). UL can't dream however, so VEË's dream library is closed for him.UL visits outsider JÖTUNNSDROTTNINGGEN (originally in the West) and begs for a chance to study Gewgrin Aureole's book. No mentors other than that, unfortunately. The Cambrian explosion plan seems problematic but, you do you - it will probably help rather than hurt with the Charlie problem at least.Outsider AURUM ARC THE GOLDEN FINGER in New New York is pretty much a tool for Pandemonium, might have to be kidnapped and imprisoned - because Outsiders outright killing Outsiders is a can of worms best not opened, and because hastening AURUM's Buki could be a bother. Even more than UL, AURUM lacks in fated events, and due to business ventures he has to appear in public, so this might not be difficult. Rhucuphre was arguably the most important figure to be targeted by UL's Malice, and by picking Rhucuphre as Mentor AURUM overrided the Malice against her, so there's a grudge. Without a Fate guarantee, learning from Rhucuphre would work out horribly and shouldn't be attempted.(Long term plans:)UL will spend his time on repaying favors to other Outsiders who introduced him to their Mentors. HERO OF JUSTICE needs special help, given how hands-off everyone else is about the Charlie problem. And in spare time UL researches further failsafes for postponing final death.

>>96480021That happened only once in the whole timeline under very specific circumstances and only by someone using god cheats. The idea that those things are common is the problem. The idea of flying wizards throwing nukes at each other is something that at most will happen once per millennia if the story builds up to it.If Charlie could just steamroll the world by herself she wouldn't need armies, logistics or even a country, and she wouldn't be suffering the failures she does.
>>96480067Common Man is just an ordinary Muddish peasant, he'll have you know. Born in the mud, on his way back to mud, he loves his family and his king in that order. Its not his fault that Muddish peasants are SRTR's favorite children. It's impossible to ignore that weird things keep happening to his family, though. There was the time his brother Keeth split into two smaller Keeths, or that other time his sister Delhayla ran into some important elf lady in the city and got hired on the spot to be her maid. Common Man is the weirdest of all -- he's strong enough to punch a troll and make it hurt, and there was that dark cleric who called him a magical prodigy, and he can summon weird ghostly farm implements during the harvest, plus there was that one time he went into a dungeon and the weird hole in his chest started talking to him. If this is the sort of thing that happens to the gods favorites, he understands why the King always looks tired.Common Man has no Outer Tide conflicts. He's in every possible tide, doing his thing. SRTR will get him to accept the call of adventure eventually, but at least until adulthood, he's just trying to support his family. His mom is sick, after all. It's a rather large family, leading to a rather large Icon of Icons boost even before he leaves his home village. He lacks the training to really make full use of his gifts, but that can be fixed easily enough.

>>96480079Throughout it all, I’ll stand beside her blow for blow, but I am helping her out of her stupor, even if I have to drag her and lead. I’ll tell her everything about my choices and try to prepare early from a young age to counteract the death letters as best as I can. I expect some failure, at least on my part. Even if Keter and I can give advice, it is not so simple as just manufacturing an event. The other characters I choose will have to learn on their own in a lot of cases and try to take whatever advice to heart that Keter and I can give them. More on that in a bit.I’d like to spend more time with my mom, and try to be a good son since I did kill the love of her live, even if indirectly. I’ll have to apologize to everyone. No matter how painful it is, and even if they don’t forgive me, I’ll still stick by them. Part of the reason I actually took Ymreit is because of how much of a chatterbox she is. Something about just listening to her talk would be comforting in a way. Sure maybe it’d be annoying at times, but I bet I’d learn a lot about her. Perhaps I can learn about my father too.I imagine he was a human trader, who managed to sneak Ymreit out after promising he would, narrowly smuggling her out of Dragon King’s Most Divine Realm, and just like a true Muddish man, managed to pull it off, even if the odds were slim. Of course after such a daring rescue, perhaps the two decided to settle down in Dis. Perhaps there is something I can learn from that story after listening to it over and over again.Speaking of Mother and father, I also imagine Ymreit learned Everman over time through my father, and after living in Dis for long enough before she finally gave birth to me. That should be legal without tutor as far as I’m concerned, though I imagine my father also knew Drakonian in the first place as well.(2/5)

>>96480092But anyways, Charlie will be defeated. I don’t know if I’ll be the one to deal the finishing blow, but I will tell Keter early on as a child a few things. One, that I will never abandon her. Two, that I will help her redeem herself and clear her head of her depression. And three, that this time we’ll be real heroes. There will be times where we have to make hard decisions, but this time let’s strive to be better. To be true heroes. All I ask in return is that she not abandon me either. And well, I’d only say this once while I’m still a child, because saying it when I’m older or multiple times might be kind of weird. But if she ever gets feelings for me, I’d like her to tell me. Then I’ll spill my autism and tell her I think she is attractive. That’s the last time I’m saying it though, so she better remember. Actually saying that kind of thing out loud would be embarrassing, and if there’s really no hope of that kind of thing, then it’s fine, she can just forget I said it.Anyways onto the letters and how to circumvent them, at least from my own ideas.Dobro Evdokia - This is probably a crappy idea, but maybe it’s possible to have your social status publicly executed instead of you. Death of your social stature. Of course Evdokia already has a negative one, so this means that she’d have to commit a crime, but get an outcome to where she is praised heavily by the masses for actually doing something everyone else could not. The easiest way would be to kill an official who is objectively bad, or something along those lines. I’m kind of shaky on if this would work, and manufacturing something like this would just lead to bad results as far as I’m concerned. Evdokia will have to rely on her own wits to pull this off, but maybe it’d give her a fighting chance and turn public perception of her around, thus killing her old social “self”.(3/5)

>>96480069Charlotte is one person who can't be everywhere at once and she specifically can't use god cheats to fight most of the time because if she fucks up and contradicts the script she gets erased from existence. You're effectively wondering why ONE supermage isn't in every single place at once winning every battle and directing every city and factory.
>>96480102Zelo Ymreit - I actually have pretty good faith in this idea, but as with all death letters, I believe it is mostly up to the holder. In this case I believe I can play an indirect role though. I believe this letter can be circumvented by battle hungry and pacifist characters, simply by switching their mentality towards combat to the other extreme. Ymreit is typically a pacifist, but perhaps if she loses that mentality after a large battle and becomes more impulsive, rash, and quick to fight you might be able to call that a death of mentality in a way. While I think the logic is sound, my only issue is that Ymreit was originally more willing to fight, and only became a pacifist after her brush with death. Depending on how quick she was willing to let her fists fly when she was younger, you might consider her losing her pacifistic nature more of a revival of self rather than a death. To indirectly help with this, I will directly help her in any fight no matter the cost to myself. The angrier she gets, and the more battle hungry she becomes, the better it might be in the long run. I just hope I don’t lose the mother I’ve come to love in the process, but I suppose calming her down and mellowing her out once more might be another plot point for another time.On (Unnotable One) - I can’t do anything for him. Keter might be able too if she somehow recognizes that he has a death letter, but I think he’s as good as dead. (Also I imagine Keter knows him personally which is why she even gets involved with my family and I in the first place)Izhe [???] - I don’t know how to solve this one. It probably makes more sense thematically for Keter to figure it out honestly. Perhaps Keter can show a level of care towards [???] for the first time and that will lead to the death of her being invisible, or something? I don’t know. Her’v’ (Blazhko) - It’s up to you buddy. Hopefully your mentors and what tips me and Keter give you are enough.(4/5)
>>96480112Yer (Nephinae of the Doria) - Nephinae is already in exile, so perhaps something could be leveraged from that?Iotated Az (Nezvana) - I’m just hoping that there’s enough leeway for her or one of my other companions to save her. I’d probably need some type of technique to save her.Yest’ (The Keter) Zhivete - I don’t really have any ideas for this one, outside of getting an extreme case of food poisoning by eating too much raw wildlife. But that’s not important. I put Zhivete on this one so Keter will survive. Her knowledge and skills are too important to pass up on, and I need her to stay alive. And as I said earlier, I will not abandon her. This is the story of her redemption, my story of support, and the story of Charlie’s downfall from heaven, among many more.So what do you guys think? Do you think it’s possible any of my reinterpretations of the death letters will work?(5/5)
>>96480093Nta but that's a stupid argument. From a balance perspective, if a choice is so much better than the alternatives, or at least it appears to be, so everyone feels forced to take it, then it's not really a choice only a tax for your build, which makes the whole cyoa idea pointless.
>>96480079Name yourself.
>>96480081she probably isn't even going to do that if you fail, why would she, this is a perfectly fine Usurper plotline, they didn't reset when Keter failed why would they reset if the 11th failed. There are so many more future outsiders to throw at the problem. This is not some world breaking apocalypse they don't need to pull out the big guns.
>>96480119I choose to hilariously misinterpret him as somebody who is playing as Keter in all respects.
>>96480118No, if you're playing a CYOA and specifically do not allow people to boost their intelligence then you are needlessly crippling them. You are effectively saying everyone should get fucked over. Want to be a caster, a planner, a politician? Nah get fucked, anon doesn't like that, he only wants meatheads.
>>96480105That's an example of him being unintelligent but wise. He was wise enough to recognise his own limit and extrapolate gohan's potential, but was too retarded to realise that giving your enemy a full heal is a bad idea.
>>96480119He's singleplayer, so it's fine without.
>>96478673Elder Gods themselves are clearly bounded by common rules and agreements they have established between themselves and how they can affect the world while not breaking these rules. This is something we can clearly tell if we compare Charlie's powers and "SRTR and YMRD accidentally destroyed the world and it is time to reset it ooops".Charlie essentially stole moderator privileges and going wild with them while Elder Gods clearly still fully in control of hardware and admin access. Were they to reset the entire thing it would undo their work and they got humbled by her but if she gets defeated on the ground it will not only reinforce their point, humble her but will keep their current iteration of the world alive. And they clearly like it apart from Charlie throwing a hissy fit.

>>96480123The Outsider System can't reach the Ecumene, so the 12th is the last that'll be able to exist, more than likely. If you fail and the 12th fails I doubt there'll be much if any land not under Charlotte.
>>96480144>What, anon wants boosts to playstyles other than a martial meathead? Wow, they must be upset they can't instantly kill the strongest people in the setting!Did this make sense in your head?
>>96480119I'm bad with names, but if I had to pick, maybe something like Alfrent?>>96480124I actually did think about picking Fiert, but couldn't do it. I think if I picked it, it would unravel the story too much, and I actually do want to take Charlie down and knock her off her stolen pedestal.
>>96480118>which makes the whole cyoa idea pointlessThis is very wrong, otherwise correct.>>96480128You have a point but that's not what he's saying.Tankista did a pretty good job making mental gifts more specific than in most other cyoas, but they still aren't as specific as the other gifts. If there were more mental gifts covering more specific topics, then every planner/politician build wouldn't be the same, and you'd have a less vague idea what they each can do. There's many problems like that of going in the other direction and making them nonviable from costs though, which is why that's never going to happen.
>>96479977Casters in OR, just going by what we've seen in the CYOA, can predict the future, raise armies of the undead, teleport any distance, wound gods with a pun, and become immortal dragons through blood-sacrifice. Not all at once, sure, but this is the power-ceiling we're talking about, and Outsiders can expect to be at the power-ceiling.Gunjobbers need to spend 6 points of ancestry and both leg slots to match a modern machine gun. It doesn't compare. Guns are obviously great if you're an illiterate peasant who would need to drill for years to cast magic missile once per day. They're outclassed if you're an outsider.
>>96480128Way to completely miss the point. I'm not saying that the builds shouldn't be smarter, even if that being an option at all is subjective, but if you are making it a choice, don't make it sound so strong so everyone feels they HAVE to take it. Either give it for free so people can choose things they actually want to do or take the choice away and say that your new body will be smarter. The other option is to actually make it very expensive but at that point you will have discussions wether a 10 cost intelligence increase is worth it over manipulating reality and that will just frustrate people more.
>>96480079Femboy?
>>96480168The blood magician who can shapeshift into a dragon also thinks that guns are completely worth it.

>>96480134Except they can't, at least according to their own words. Ending the world is explicitly mentioned as a win condition, because it will also remove Charlie and her interference, allowing YMRD to reset everything. She can't do it at will while Charlie is still there.
>>96480181Why isn't her dragon form a gun wielding Digimon the, huh? Checkmate.
>>96480118>>96480179The only alternative is making everyone a genius by default. You're not going to stop anons from wanting to be mages or more intelligent. From a design perspective, you also need to account for the base fact that your players will want to correct their own perceived deficiencies. Is anon dumb, young, ADHD, stumbles over their thoughts? Well, if they are, then they're going to want one of the mental gifts because they correct those. That anon is always going to be unhappy with that part of themselves, especially if having that actively prevents them from playing the character they want (someone with ADHD might want to play a caster.) So if you don't provide him the option to correct these flaws, then you have to give it for free. If you don't give it for free, and you can't buy it, you're telling anon that if he's not smart/attentive/witty etc. in real life he's not allowed to fantasize about being so in your CYOA.>>96480162If you made more hyper-specific mental gifts then anons who want to play a smart character will feel compelled to spend MORE of their points on all of them, making them have even less variety. If you want to play a smart character or a caster, you can't just skip half of what makes a person intelligent, you need to go all in.
>>96480180No, I'd be an average guy, not a femboy. If I wanted to do something like that I'd prefer to just go all the way either through Fiert or just starting off as a girl right from the get go.
>>96480129>too retarded to realise that giving your enemy a full heal is a bad ideaDoesn't that mean he doesn't have wisdom then? It gives an example of Intelligence helping to build a bomb and Wisdom helping to realize doing so is a bad idea.
>>96480181You don’t need witchshot to use guns though. It’s not even that good, even if you are using guns.

I would 100% choose to be a femboy.I dont want to be a girl but I don’t understand the appeal of being a masculine man.
>>96480081No she will reset it anyway. Whatever you do is meaningless unless you stop her. Vtorusha got it. Charlie got it. You will get it too.
>>96480218I want to be a girl but I'd settle for femboy if that's the best I can do desu.
>>96480205Keter is central to my build and I didn't have any good images. The image is of Keter, not me. Being serious for a moment though I actually would like it if any of you anons could look over my ideas on how to skirt around some of the death letters and if you think what I put down could work.
>>96480218The appeal is having dominating breeding sex with feminine females. The contrast is hot.
>>96480181That's visibly not a musket. It's a stolen ecumene rifle. If anything, the fact that she was able to steal ecumene weapons makes the argument against witchshot stronger -- just steal one of their machine guns and save the 6 points.(And, yes, a modern rifle is better than a sword for the situations where you can't or shouldn't go dragon. No one is disputing that, the argument is about whether the gun gifts are worth investing AP in)
So what is the general consensus on how magic works in OR? I read it as something like miracles from the souls series. Where you are literally quoting an event from the past and pulling the Meaning of it to the present. So if you cast a lightning bolt you're just recalling the time you saw a lightning strike or something. How did you read it?
>>96480168>can predict the futureNot a mage thing, just an eye one>raise armies of undeadWe actually have no single necromancer raising armies so it's hard to judge and the only thing that explicitly allows this is an arm gift, not generic magic>Teleport any distanceExpensive leg gift and the only person with perfect teleportation is a unique companion that cannot be replicated>Wound gods with a punImagine calling Charlie a god>become immortal dragons through blood-sacrificeThe ones who were argued out of existence?Sure, magic will always feel stronger on a blank page, but there's a big difference between those things being possible and you being actually able to achieve them

>>96480233Say god-script letters. Thing you said happens based on the Meaning you assigned to what you said. Basically anything can be done if you're good enough. If you want to cast fireball, you literally say fireball in god-script and assign the Meaning of fireball.

Worry not about the long time spent in the Toybox affecting our sanity. We have each other and plenty of time for relaxation, and I will look after everyone's mental health. My goals are to master the God-Script and ascend. I will help everyone grow and get along as much as possible during our time in the Toybox to ensure JNPL's return and Charlotte's defeat. Then, I will learn from all the Elder Gods.[SRTR] wants to keep us in the Toybox for 100 years, but plans cannot keep up with changes, so she may send a number of us out ahead of time (and perhaps we will be able/allowed to get back in) to deal with special situations, e.g. to turn the tide a decisive battle. Perhaps I will be the Nilmatrix of our side. After exiting the Toybox, aside from the aforementioned objectives, I plan on helping Ielziaseh ascend, hunting Rhucuphre, possibly taking over a country or creating a new one with fellow Outsiders, and establishing an alliance of Outsiders for mediation in our conflicts and cooperation in dealing with threats.>Encounters:A Hop, A Lean, A Hobgoblin, A Score of Orcs, A Band of Ogres, A Bridge, A Troll, A Troll>Death Letter:Theta
>>96480945Isn't Breaking and Entering linking two locations too? You should be able to pick from there I think.
>>96480489Upunth, and anyone that he teaches, especially you. "Physically" attacking somebody from the spiritual plane sounds like the perfect esoteric art for climbing up a demon's brainstem.
>>96480949>Youth:Magical Training, Theology, Plotting, Journey of the SelfI will train to be a generalist mage, learning every type of magic and spellcasting method to master all aspects of the God-Script. Subjects aside from those mentioned in the build will also be learned to a lesser extent to find Meaning in all things and become capable of playing any role in any story.>Quest:E NomineEvery scenario simulated. Every possibility accounted for. Past, present, and future deduced. We will be ready. We will win.---Template: https://files.catbox.moe/l2bn24.xcfBasically the same template as the one before but updated to my current build. No point in downloading it if you already have the old one.Instructions were put in https://rentry.org/outer_reincarnation_information#outsiders-page-style, so I won't repeat them here.
>look bro you can make muskets but you cant make blowback or gas operated guns or standardized ammunition because... uhh, you just cant okay?Makes no logical sense
Should be done later tonight. I've got to do irl things over the weekend so I won't have time to work on it then so it is getting done tonight.
>>96480971wtf is this
>>96480975The OR childhood DLC, if I'm correct.
>>96480975Somebody was inspired by the random tables from Destined for Greatness to write an Outer Reincarnation DLC about your childhood.
>>96480975Unofficial OR DLC based on a whim a couple of threads back
>>96480966It really just depends on whether you take Charlie's approach to it or Vtorusha's approach to it
>>96480945Also multiple parents and companions come with airships or ocean-ships, plus the one who is a giant dragon and the other one that is a walking castleAlso there's a companion who can just teleport you. Also you could have esurient walk or grey wanderingAlso you could be rich enough to just hire an airship (and live somewhere like Pasmurina where they're common enough to hire)
>>96481042Thing is, you don't know the order you meet your mentors or companions. If he would acknowledge the possibility of this all the cyoa would have much needles complexity.
>>96480971My roll for my life with my mom Keter will be blessed!
>>96481042Or you can be a freaking winged dragon yourself, flying wherever you want.
>>96480945>>96481042It's not about being able to move around the world, it's being at the right location when the encounter is happening. You are not supposed to be able to predict them so just being at the imperial capital when the assassination happens would mean that you decide when it does since you moved there. The only difference would be having Jdan tell you exactly when the event will happen.>>96480951RAW it doesn't but Tankista mentioned that it makes sense and you should be able to pick encounters from the second location so he may add it in an update.
>>96481060I beleive in you, anon!
>>96481058It's a CYOA about fucking with fate. Fate can arrange for you to be where you need to be at the appropriate time as long as there's a reasonable way for it to happen.I'm not suggesting adding check-for-these-possiblities as a mechanic that removes or lowers location restrictions. I'm suggesting that the existence of all this and more makes the location restriction mechanic feel extremely arbitrary and game-y in a bad way.
>>96480951Yes, but there is no guarantee you'll get the portal working
