Have you ever roleplayed a character with a spouse around, not just one that died in their backstory? Did they join in as an actual character and if so, how did your gm balance you having an extra helper?

Her boobs are fucking huge as fuck. Imagine your dick between those giant soft boobs. Imagine grabbing that shit as your fucking her. HOT DAMN does she have some bigass tiddies. I would KILL for a gf wife with titties THAT big and that skinny waist GAWDDAMN holy fuck

And to answer your question I never really did spouses I only ever did parents and a few siblings. Personally I felt that adventuring isn't something someone who settled down would normally do desu. That and it gets kinda weird with the DM. I know other players who have done shit like that or even made their characters date. Often it was because they ended up together irl and wanted to be a couple in game too.

I played a Dwarf Cleric with a wife, never joined the party I just liked the idea that he was a literal family man.

I had one game where my PC got into a relationship with another party member. Oddly enough they were both autistic to the point that there was only a moderate amount of drama at the very start due to culture clash (prude knight + free love warrior engineer was a weird combo but they figured it out), and otherwise it was basically just them flirting occasionally/tinkering on gizmos together. We never did get around to the 'family drama' of him finally uniting with his lost clan and introducing her due to the game dying, unfortunately. That could've been pretty interesting.

I haven't had an NPC spouse before. Like the other anon said, adventuring just doesn't really seem like something a settled down person would get up to.

Yeah played a 35 y.o human spore Druid who was inspired by pellopenesian islanders for a wild beyond the witchlight campaign. Ba-sang-gu-tip-eh
He had 8 kids and a wife. Lived with his tribe In the coastal forest. Was the tribal shaman.
Plothook : the spirits took the soul of one girl in the tribe, the only one he ever failed and could t get back, the spirit itself taunted him . He Saw in a vision the red ribbon(his interpretation of the spirit - going northeast). So went that way. Cue adventure.
He’d learned to read via books traded for safe passage through the jungle so was fluent in a bunch of languages. I never dropped his accent in the campaign too.

It was lots of fun.

>Did they join in as an actual character and if so, how did your gm balance you having an extra helper?
As the GM, I have two methods based on the character's narrative impact. If they're little more than a camp follower, I use them as a designated victim/obligation to protect Hindrance. But of they have any amount of utility outside of downtime, I make the player burn an edge.

My solo's entire motivation in cyberpunk was supporting his wife who was in the hospital after she was injured in a gang crossfire a decade or so earlier. He had worked himself to destitution, living out of a shipping container to keep her comfortable because at the time there was no implant they could put in to undo the degenerative nerve damage that had toasted her visual cortex and destroyed her eyes. he was totally devoted to her, even as his own body fell apart and he stubbornly refused to aug up due to a deep hatred of booster gangs and cyborgs in general.

GODDAMN those are giant breasts and their so natural GODDAMN uraagghh porn artists and anime people like, they so causally draw comically sized boobs. THEY DO NOT DESERVE BIG BOOBs. Big boobie girls deserve respect. They need you to pleasure them. Those chicks need the respect they deserve for keeping such perfect figures. No, not every girl in your game/anime/porn/whatever needs big boobs. You are just assuming every girl should have big boobs but no, it is special girls who have big natural boobs and you need to respect them. Like sure in your world everyone is perfect and every girl is a 10/10. No. No no no. You gotta respect all the girls 9/10 and all the tiny cup sizes, but you see a girl with big boobs and a tiny waist and you RESPECT her. You do NOT deserve her. Unless you put effort into yourself you should be her carpet she stomps her heels on. So many guys think woman should automatically fawn themselves over girls, NO. YOU worship woman. You respect them. You TREAT THEM RIGHT. You take care of your big booby baby momma. These chicks will ruin their body to produce your offspring and you DARE call them whores and bitches and femcels? Man go to the deepest darkest pits of hell, your skinny and/or fat ass does NOT deserve a big boobie queen, I bet you won't do foreplay. If I had a big boobie gal like this foreplay would be 3 hours, the breast massage alone would have her screaming my name. I'm patient. I can wait. I'm rock hard the whole time licking my lips, knowing I will achieve peak climax when she's begging for her release, and we shall climax together, and even after that, I shall ease her muscles and make her FREE REALXATION for blessing all straight men and lesbians with her MASSIVE HONKERS. God's gifts must be cherished, and god gave this woman MASSIVE SEXY GIFTS and thus they are holy as they are a miracle from God. Everyone call up their local big titty gal and say she's goddamn sexy and the most pretty girl in the world.

Yes, lots of times. In fact in most of my games that's something the character tries to do because that would be in character for them. Though obviously it depends on the setting and character. L5R, ACKS, Bodil's Gap almost certainly. Shadowrun, not so much.

I once played a battlesmith artificer with a steel defender refluffed as an autistic robot girl that all the other party members first assumed he was using for sex.
They dropped the assumptions after seeing how he treated her more like a sidekick/protege/sibling. Totally platonic.
In terms of personality, my guy is basically don quixote with magitek autism. He is obsessed with everything relating to knights, chivalry, dragons, and everything magitek.
Soon enough, the party started shipping him with a sentient magitek ghost ship that finds his antics endlessly frustrating, and a dragon girl rune knight from 500 years ago who the party unfroze from cryosleep during a raid on a cultist base.

It's useful to have subsystems dedicated for those kinds of things.

I played a character with a fiancée. Traveller game and scientist character. The rocky relationship was on the background. When relationship got into better direction, she was kidnapped, and died because my character failed to heal her. Dumb part is I forgot I had healing items in my inventory, which would have bypassed my need to roll.

Waifu threads had long run, I'm surprised they continued so long.

Yeah, my character is basically just a mercenary that plays the hero angle to get better jobs.
Got hired to roam the kingdoms to retrieve incredibly powerful artifacts for a deity, my character took it as yet another mercenary job and never faltered, even when about to face a small army of golems he refused to surrender the artifact to be used.
After a last siege against the nemesis of the deity that hired him, he's going back to his (now much richer) village, back to his expecting wife and he will retire.

the tl;dr of it it, he did eventually get her out with a shiny new implant and accompanying eyes, but only after he was forced to get some cyberwear after a bad ambush. The corpo in our party broke the stock market and we kinda ended up swimming in eddies for nothing. The joy didn't last, as the mega corp we had beef with discovered he was working as a double agent in their organization and shoved him in some kind of flesh/bone/muscle stripping enzyme/chemical solution and forcefully converted him into a full borg that was just a brain and nerves. There's more but, i gotta head to work.

I love doing that with steel defenders. I had a bladesinger / battlesmith for a high level one shot and it was a small witch girl with a giant undead armored warrior. I think the animal flavoring is kinda lame, I prefer it being the Full Metal Alchemist class.

>I know other players who have done shit like that or even made their characters date. Often it was because they ended up together irl and wanted to be a couple in game too.
Back when I was in high school the GM at the ttrpg club suggested having my character and this shy nerdy girl's character be boyfriend and girlfriend since we both wanted to be wizards from the same magic school. We thought it would be fun and exchanged numbers to mutually built our characters. Didn't take long before we were texting everyday and by the end of the campaign (Sunless Citadel + Forge of Fury) we were dating irl. Our GM admitted later that he thought we'd make a cute couple and that's why he suggested it. I'm in that guy's debt.

In a Mage: The Awakening game, my character had a wife that was sort of a sugar mamma. They had both been corporate suits that climbed the ladder at work, PC made it pretty high and then awoke to magic existing, realized he was at the very bottom of a new ladder, and it broke him because it somewhat invalidated his life's work of chasing wealth--he now had effectively infinite wealth and was powerless in the grand scheme of things. Furthermore, it made him think his advancement was only due to being born with some innate magical capability and not because he honed his skill an intuition to succeed.

His wife was a sleepwalker and aware of magic, but she still worked her day job and provided for the two. She got more and more agitated about her husband just moping around all day as the game went on though, the weird people he'd meet with that didn't fit in to the society they joined, and even though he could create gold from stone or snap things into existence, it wasn't the nice things she wanted but rather the social status they once had. Towards the end of the game, she wound up leaving him, which turned out to be great timing since it was just before a raid hit their penthouse.

I miss those threads. I wish I'd gotten a wfe character made by the OP.

To answer your question, no. I had a character who was married and their spouse was present briefly during a part of the adventure where the party went to where they lived.

I don't have a lot of examples of "my character
has a helper character." The only really notable example was this goblin that I played who had their sister as an assistant. It gave the GM opportunities to give me shit the way that siblings do, and it also caused my character to be motivated to defend them if a situation somehow managed to endanger them.
