Why do traditional games seem to attract the most socially undesirable people? Not trolling, I seriously would like to get to the bottom of this. I don't get it, tabletop games are social in nature so why do they attract anti-social weirdos, you expect these types to stay at home and video game. Why are some games MUCH worse that other when it comes to players, ie. Warhammer 40k is worse than historical Wargames, compared MtG to Chess, etc. Is there an explanation for this phenomenon?

I think a lot of people in the hobby are pretty sociable, if anything /tg/ complains all the time about people who are too social and normal. But it does attract huge weirdos, I think they look worse because they are pushing themselves to do something they are bad at but that's how you get better so they could be on the right track,I think they pop up because they manufacture an ideal version of themselves and then crash with the reality of their own limitations. Instead of seeing their issues and improving they double down on their weirdness and make shit unconfortable for everyone.
