Hello /tg/, I'm going to run a session soon so I've come to ask you for some recommendations regarding combat music. Specifically for fighting faeries or ghosts. Also use this thread to share some recs for your campaigns
Here's a few:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45YbWPmTMdAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLAa1urufGEhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESmKwo4Pd5Yhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QgWSt5aPP4
Good idea, it can really add to the tension of a combat encounter. The secret sauce: Avoid anything with understandable (English for instance) lyrics. They'll really distract unless they're so low volume you can barely hear.I find retro JRPGs are great places to pull stuff. They're atmospheric, backgroundy, composed with the idea that you won't be paying the most attention to them but they're meant to supplement the scene instead of set it.

Can't go wrong with Within Temptation's The Unforgiving on any music that's about violently exterminating the undead:Of course, Dubs-tee is a soulless assault on senses without any meaning or reason to the point where their offshoot Delain is less homosexual and a much better band, let alone some real symphonic metal such as Septicflesh or Fleshgod Apocalypse... but this is /TrannyGoyim/, dubs-tee fits.

>>96494864'Anvil of Crom' and 'Riders of Doom' or 'Battle of the Mounds' work great as general battle music and for fighting something like Wild Hunt.
>like a decade ago>someone posts a song in a /tg/ music thread >kinda experimental rock, long as shit, pretty intense,>as some point the lyrics go something like "and that point you'll see that all the fingers of destiny are pointed at YOU">never found it again>been asking in random music threads since then hoping someone will recognize itPls help

>>96494864I'm a big fan of Jim Kirkwood. I believe all of his music is free to stream on Bandcamp.
Here are some good ones!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMSx95iU-yQhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj1UmNuy6mAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVw_1RZncechttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIHOV07XoDQ
Anything by Michael Ghelfi, I'm surprised to see so many outright songs posted here. Stuff with actual lyrics can get in the way quite a bit.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pM4A2iiQlQUhttps://www.youtube.com/@MichaelGhelfiStudios/videos
Sort of a tangent, but how do you play and control the music for your campaigns? What's your common source for loading up tracks to play, and how finely do you adjust it in the moment to match the particular moment of the campaign? I've always wanted to incorporate more dynamic music, especially to match the soundtrack from games I'm pulling from, but found most music players not robust enough for it
>>96508686Honestly, lately I just put a Spotify playlist up on random in the background. If it's a good one, generally your players won't even notice it but occasionally it syncs up with what your doing and everyone is super impressed. I think getting too in the weeds about it is only going to make the game suffer.
>>96500078Thank you for the suggestion, anon. Sadly that's not the right song, but as far as I remember it, it's not too far away. The one in looking for was more about fate, and generally more angry and grandiose.Yours is pretty nice too, though. I'm adding it to my collection

This thread is bejeeted.Ne Obliviscaris is not very much like Burzum, but if what you want is not le edgy murderer music but a flight through the ascending orbits of singularity through the primordial darkness and chaos, they've got you covered.
