Is Pauper actually in a good spot right now? Sure 70% of the meta is Aggro but no deck makes up more than 10% of the meta. Granted, Mono-U is 14% but that's actually two quite different decks crammed into the same category for some reason.

I hope they let art of a character that is canonically dead slip through because no one involved gives a fuck
>>96501046each thing that causes a stack to be made starts with the active player and goes clockwise. between most phases creates a stack. notably, draw step and main phase does not. combat does, upkeep does, end step does. priority is by default held by the active player, who can cast whatever he wants. casting things, triggers, and activated abilities (not mana abilities) create a stack. mana abilities always resolve first above all else even if its got a bunch of other stupid shit stapled on like lions eye diamond. if it adds mana, its a mana ability. this supercedes even things like split-second. everything that creates a stack passes priority along starting with the active player and going around, with each new spell creating a new stack and passing priority starting with the caster.most common use of the stack:planeswalkers will be able to use their abilities once before getting killed by a removal spell. why is because entering the battlefield does not create a stack by itself. meaning that the planeswalkers controller can hold priority and use an ability on the planeswalker before priority passes around.
>>96501083So unused duskmourn art then

mtgprint is adding these in their art selection, RIGHT?
>>96501467Well, "it becomes a Spider Hero" in this case is more meant to be the spider itself joining the creature you choose, rather than it transforming them somehow, I guess.

If I take the UB cards and alter them to have Omenpaths art and names - don't ask how - am I allowed to use them in sanctioned events? There's a prescedent for the names given cards like this which are mechanically identical to lore breaking SLD cards.

I remember reading the card-by-card stories for it and I'm pretty sure they were conflicted on her having vigilance or not, because 'does that represent speed actually' and they settled on 'yeah because she gets ready to go faster than anybody', etc.
>>96504011Then you want original Kamigawa design balance. This is currently the weakeast Savannah Lion if we raised the cost by 2.
>>96504182It is probably more for flavor, but Samut is an example where there is more synergy.Without a tap ability though, the keywords are pretty independent. It adds flexibility, but that's about it.
>>96504187Now this is some good design.
>>96504113bro i have beaten stuff like lok like 6 times and have the lines memorizedi even finished garbage like countdown vampires multiple times. i have finished every single classic j-rpg and shit like fallout too. infact, i spent 3 years on fallout 3 + mods and it's still not enough
>>96504205Yeah. And it leads to funny designs like defender/haste.
What are some token creators you recommend?
>>96504236>Or maybe even going outside for a nice nature hike?
>>96504211This Grizzly Bears seems weak enough.
>>96504256Cutter
I'm actually liking the look of the Omenpaths not-Spider Man cards. I'm gonna proxy a couple.
>>96504382Yeah, some look shit but only because they had to cram so many keyword into the art.
>>96503607>stuck with spider mobilerevolting
I would take this Omenpath thing over UB any day of the week, besides i think that if they would this absolute garbage of implementing UB into all formats this is the way they should have done it. If Cummander faggots want to play with Peter Porker they can do it in the casual format but don’t polluted the real formats with that slop.
can someone with a tumblr account ask maro when we will get a paper printing of omenpathsi know the answer will be "never" but it's more to point out that people prefer in-universe stuff to UB
>>96504520>The concern is it won’t sell well. The audience that refuses to play with Universes Beyond cards is pretty low. That doesn’t mean we won’t reprint individual cards, but a whole set is currently seen as a bit too risky.>I think individual cards could.
>>96501870I honestly think aetherdrift was made bad intentionally to prep the community for ub slop.
>>96504582Then explain why they followed it up with the bestselling (units, not profit) UW set of all time with the Gay Bolas set.
>>96501235YO IS THAT FUCKING 'COONFACE??
>>96501235I don’t know why maybe is just the bloomburrow style card but i find this art style and the card as a whole superb.
Is it ok to run a serras sanctum running only 7-8 enchantments ?
>>96501013its the only decent meta nowadays
>>96501432>Where were you when MtG died?In 2011 (when commander format was released) I was either home or at work.
>>96501432Jacking off.
>>96501183Dare I say... SOVL?
>>96501252I love this so much
This set is total dogshit
>>96501954The latest crossover set, Final Fantasy, was the best selling set ever by a significant margin, beyond any stakeholder's wildest dreams. Lotta cope otherwise though.
I’m very impressed by the online versions of the set, they way overperformed based on my expectations of “legally distinct spider-thems.”
>>96505041You know what's sad? They even mog Aetherdrift and Thunderjunction. These 2 sets are probably more Spiderman adjacent than anything.
>>96501443>look inside>a while plane with spider based infrastructure. Little noise and references to other planes as wellI kinda want to see more or have things fleshed out with a plasewalkers guide honestly. The plane will forever be tainted because it's a Spiderman Set with magic skin, but goddammit if the web tech and spiders being pets and companions thing isn't charming to me
I hate MTG in 2025
some of these are great
>>96505094That's actually a funny one. Doesn't seem like slush art either, can't imagine what card it'd be used for.
>>96505065Aetherdrift was a fantastic opportunity to seamlessly depict multiple planes in a single set, which is something I’ve wanted ever since we left dominaria. The way they absolutely fucked it up is comically impressive. I’m going to draft the shit out of this set on arena, it’s sadly the one of the best-looking standard sets visually
>>96505106But is you know… Not real… The real art are Hot Dog Cart, Pic related, UK-Spiderman
>>96505148When 100% of the standard games I’ve played in the last six years have been played on Arena, Through the Omenpaths is more “real” a magic set to me than spiderman ever will be.
>>96501158>hero>eats random civiliankek>>96501182>enwebHonestly if you still play mtg as a serious hobby you deserve this.>>96501553Imo should have been from New Capenna instead of Ixalan (or is it Ravnica?)(honestly no Idea, the vampires, clothes, etc spells Ixalan but the masked guy looks Ravnica )>>96501566Nah, Hero/Villain are pure cancer, the definition of a parasitic mechanic.>>96501561Wish they print this irl.>>96501616Some of those are cool despite the Hero/Villain Keywords.>>96501656Well, they found a way to make their commander card make sense in the new set. (btw the riptide project did it better)>>96502091Lesbian couple: look at their arms>>96502652Based Bad winner champ>>96502630something has to sell the set, later on they can ban her and say, ops, we didn't think that being able to cheat artifacts would be bad for the game.
>>96504624Tarkir was the biggest fluke of all-time caused by a rogue actor.
>>96501432I wasn't born yet.
>>96505104Seems like Zendikar Slush art. Either two different party types allying together or a spell about in-fighting.
>>96501256Holy fucking shit this is some Limited Edition Alpha tier art gat dayum>Arena onlyREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Thank you, Wizards, for showing everybody that UB is useless and shit and literally every single card in a set is better without it.
"Web Lords could be here" he thought, "I've never been in this plane before. There could be Web Lords anywhere." The cool wind felt good against his bare chest. "I HATE WEB LORDS" he thought. Sweet Dreams are Made of These reverberated his entire car, making it pulsate even as the $9 wine circulated through his powerful thick veins and washed away his (merited) fear of minorities after dark. "With a Giant Spider, you can go anywhere you want" he said to himself, out loud.
>>96505274>Web LordsAdd it to the list.
>>96505262>Arena onlyand MTGO
>>96505280>MTGOEven Arenababs have more relevance
>>96505203>or is it Ravnica?Fairly certain it's Ravnica. The outfits fit with the sort of thing they did for the Clue tie in, and the mask in the back is very Rakdos. Plus with Markov Manor, them having leftover detective art adds up.
>>96501562Don’t disrespect Fleem
>>96505292I'm pretty sure it's Capenna, the outfits feel pretty Capenna, especially for the background characters. Looks like some Cabaretti fucks cheering the dude on as he rips into somebody.
>>96505304The clothing seem to match the new Ravnica fashion.
>>96505304>>96505309I think the main point in favor of it being Capenna is the one guy holding a glass of something that might be Halo
>>96505309Nah, it's very Cabaretti.
>>96505324Halo usually has a halo around the drink. Seems to be a Rakdos drink.>>96505331Cabaretti elves have horns and inhuman skin colors.
>>96505309>>96505331Who cares. WotC's art direction sucks so it's indistinguishable.
>>96505345Another point is the Cabaretti wear lounge wear and Suits with fur as accessories while the people in the card have ruffles and gigot sleeve associated with 19th century fashion.
>>96505223>Gay Bolas anon has this much power over all of WotC
>>96505437Occult powers are unquestionable.Gay Bolas is real and has influence within Hasbro.

>>96505510Total inconsistency.
>>96505510White/Black aren't morality indicators we swear!
>>96505526White/Black is a morality indicator, in the sense that White care about morality the most, and Black is the one who thinks morality is a psyop to keep the strong shackled. None of the others really care about morality as much, one way or another.
>>96505510Genuinely wonder what they'll do for Punisher. Just a Hero Villain like the Eddie/Venom card?
