I used to pick Ix but I've since reconsidered, taking care of a disabled person can be emotionally draining even if there's little work involved.

I love cyoas.
>>
>>96515334
So what's the deal with Caeda? are her dream-learning and teleportation abilities replicable? and who did she make a connection with on the "otherside"? Did Tank say something about her on reddit?
>>
Do you need to be female to select Thaumiel as a parent with dice fudge?
>>
>>96515517
Why would swapping bodies would give you their death letter, which has been fulfilled anyway? Pretty sure you would have an empty A death slot that could be assigned a letter later.
>>
>>96515560
yes
>>
>>96515579
why
you aren't learning her technique
>>
>>96515591
But you are getting groomed by her.
Take sibling with Fiert if you want to switch back to male.
>>
>>96515591
There is no why. It simply is. Knock on tank's door on reddit if you want it changed.
>>
>>96515591
Penises repulse her and refuses to raise a child with one
>>
Do you need to think of a "trick" when making a build to defeat Charlotte or is being smart/strong enough to gather knowledge and armies and figuring it later enough for E Nomine?
>>
>>96515618
Her power level is so vaguely described to allow the latter.
>>
>>96515618
You need some sort of X factor. You can figure that out now or later, but you need to have some sort of plan.
>>
>>96515618
If you suck SRTR dick, you can ignore all tricks.
>>
>>96515618
>>96515639
But generally yes, it should be fine as long as you are gathering strong and knowledgeable allies.

If you are a muddish peasant with no companions or mentors and no gifts, well, you are probably going to have a hard time
>>
>>96515618
You need a "Trick" to overcome your Death Rune, or have Keter teach you one really. You can probably defeat 0^0 by either method you described, but "gather knowledge" better involve something to win against her hacks and armies.
>>
>>96515568
So the benefit of Perpetuity without true death would last only until another outsider picks you (or 0^0 sees you and assigns one). Not much different from surviving death letter in another way I suppose like Keter did.
>>
>>96515517
Tankista mentioned that it wouldn't stop a new meaning of the letter to try and kill you later down the line when someone asked this about Theta. They will always have a true death around the corner, even if chances of it finding them are extremely unlikely.
>>
>>96515618
Charlie have pseudo-Divine powers which you need to counter with either equal powers by studying under her or help from one of Elder Gods.Either be born from JNPL, help YMRD with her scheme with Omega or help SRTR to do something she is planning.
Without stolen divine powers Charlie is still strong being Outsider with solid gifts and knowledge behinds her so matching her would require to have either solid amount of power or knowledge and tricks.
And she has her armies which need to be defeated in the field to have one on one with her in the first place.
>>
>>96515618
Once the story starts you can figure out anyway to defeat her that suits your character. You can best her armies, win through trickery and backstab her, revive JNPL while she's distracted with something else, pull an elves style pun to expand the damage already there, beat her up yourself, pull a Vtorusha and argue her divinity as not valid and cancelling her power, etc.
There are as many ways to beat her as stories you can tell about it. Some of them will focus on some elements more than others and perhaps consider different scales of her power but the vagueness is there to allow them.

The warmachina build from last thread is perfectly viable.
Being a muddish highlord, having claim to the muddish throne, having Jdan as a mentor, having Brastat with Ouk, and having an encounter that gives you a free warmachina all but guarantees that you will be successful in making new warmachina.

You have to be at least a little retarded to use the power of friendship
>>
Thaumielfags really think they're better than Keterfags just because they chose an autistic lesbian instead of a sad lesbian to raise them.
>>
>>96515731
It's one of the worse builds ever, the unnotable lich and the merchant are better simply because Charlie won't bother with them. He will never figure how to make one mech with a plan that shitty.
>>

I only pointed out that for someone who wanted to build Warmachinas as early as possible, he basically ignored all the parents that could teach him young how to work and operate them for the standard Keter and One adoption. It is obviously his story and will work in his favor but he went for points over flavor for his build's gimmick.

It was born. The chosen one. The interactive with actually interesting builds, and a fuckton of submenus.

>Plan
The goal here is to conclude the other Outsiders' stories by letting One die, giving Keter her redemption arc, allowing Aatginter's role and power to be inherited, and upgrading Savmak into a better form of undead, so he can choose whether he wants to kill himself or not. Aside from that, I plan to stabilize Doria a little and work against everyone trying to tear it apart from the shadows, which is why I killed off Hladvig. I plan to either awaken Vtorusha or kill her, and will figure out how I'm going to do either later.
>Youth
Parental Support: Maiosara seems like she'd need this regardless, and I'd like to have a better relationship with her and One.
Journey of the Self: Seems like something One would want to help with. I'll try to befriend Kalliopa and Izbor, and build a good relationship with Zlata, Leimeie, and Dirk even if they aren't my mentors.
Plotting: So much to do, so little time. I have to find and contain Alezandre somehow, dismantle Hladvig's schemes, prepare to spread information on how to fight Empyreans after the Nilmatrix encounter, coup the Exarchate or find another way to get Baf access to Aatginter's body, arrange my political marriage to Kalliopa if I'm not in a tide with Light and Dark build, prep to work with Inga to contain the Nightmare, find and kill Rhucuphre somehow(unlikely), and work against anyone else trying to undermine Doria. Where will I find the time?
My plan for Nilmatrix is teaching Keter and Inga what I learn from Gewrgin's manuscript, and hope they can carry my fraud ass to victory. Does the Shadow of God encounter happen before or after I reach adulthood?
Why yes, I will apply Gewrgin's other teachings to all of my mentors and companions, why do you ask? No, Nilmatrix isn't safe just because I don't know who she is and am planning to kill her.

The broken build I came up with is you combine the Blue Mage, Puppeteer and Battlemaster's Link spell.
The Link spell turns everyone who casts it into a Hivemind. With Puppeteer you can just create a puppet, have it cast Link and then you no longer have a range limit and can just stay home while your puppets do the work.

Blue Mage + Spooky Action allows anything any puppet kills to strengthen every puppet in your army and there's no reason puppets can't create puppets. So you'd just expand and expand without end.
For a bonus the Blue Mage ultimate that gives you shapeshifting also lets you turn flesh into mana. So your army could fuel itself on the corpses of it's enemies.

Just take the option that delays the World Event by at least one year guarantee. You can start by killing dogs or other animals and humans and become an Elden Ring boss, then work your way up from there.
With Kaiju or Zombie events you can just wait till humans kill some of them and absorb them too if you get there first too.

It really hurts, you know? Back when the original CYOA was released in 2022, I couldn't fit a lot of characters from the Old Throne into the roster. And many people noted that they really did not like Jdan and his country.
So when I got around to updating it, I made sure to compensate for it, and to make the character distribution more fair. After working on the historical background for so long, the Muddish with their aesthetic became my favourite Human race. And after I finished working on available character options, I thought to myself: "Am I being unfair? I feel like I am putting too much cool and interesting stuff onto the side of the Old Throne. Maybe I should dial it back a little?", but decided to stick to what I had presented.
And then it turns out that nothing had changed.
I had failed myself. I might as well delete the CYOA by rewinding time back one year and return to the drawing board, now.

Well the issues are three.
1) The Old Throne is setup to be ridiculously hard to beat because of their time travel chair. So if you're an Empire or Exarchate player who might want to conquer Doria, these guys are the biggest issue for you to deal with. No reasonable solution to beating them without just copying Inga makes them hard to like as an enemy.
2) They're all Vtorusha simps. Most players seem to be pro-Ascent and even outright pro-Elder God, so the race that's full bore in hating and rejecting them is basically just another Ecumene to these players.
3) Brown hair is ugly. This might seem petty, but when people are shopping for waifus, or a race to BE, aesthetics matter. The Muddish all having brown hair downgrades them massively in the waifu race. Also the only strong Muddish female is asleep all the time and people tend to powerfag when looking for waifus.

I don't think those are really that big of issues
The Old Throne has been defeated several times in the past and not only by outsiders, their chair and Mechs are not the ultimate weapon they think they are.
The Muddish are [SRTR] favorite human race so it's not as if all of them support Vtorusha, only most of the nobility.

Most countries have a gimmick that makes them tricky to beat. I don't see anyone complaining about the Empire being too big to deal with.

"This world is fiction. We are the only things that are real within my sight. The rest are all disgusting lies. If this is so, then it doesn't matter what we do to others.

No matter how depraved or horrible our actions could be, I consider it all to be meaningless. In light of that, it is my obligation to drag this world through the mud and ruin the tale, whatever it might be.

There is only us, and even the narrative of fate is merely an illusion. It is up to me to prove to the storytellers that their works are worthless, to punish them for daring to make something like this.

And so, I shall inflict as much dread and suffering as I possibly can. I know they cannot avert their eyes. I shall tear out the heart of what they consider to be their marvel, for what they depict is beautiful cannot possibly be anything but abominable."

To me the current set up for Old Throne is a chore.
Jdan knows his son is a traitor and preparing to fight Ecumene as well, while making it look like he will fight other countries on Doria. It is fine but mostly it means unless you fully invest into it either redeeming his son either by making you his grandson or go with Vadim as your father in hope that Jdan changes his successor to either you or Vadim. That's about all you can really do with Old Throne as it currently is.
Old Throne making the world worse is also not something you can solve while Charlie is still active. As either Old Throne Outsider or non-Old Throne one.
And if you want fantasy mecha you can just take that dwarf and Oko Shtorma bypassing the need to interact with Old Throne at all.

>I don't see anyone complaining about the Empire being too big to deal with.
Being too big isn't a hamper to conquest. Anyone with an army can come in and stomp the Empire. Stomping the Old Throne is meaningless though, because they'll reverse time endlessly until they copy the exact minuscule steps required for them to win against you. They did that to survive against the Kingdom of All Humans, even. There's no way to get them as long as that chair is around.

It’s actually really easy. You can do it before you even incarnate.

How does he do it? By what clever guile do his deft hands so ensnare the autistic mind? The only authors that have done similar could be counted on one hand. PCA, Italics, EntropistAnon... yet none have managed such a variety of discussion and debate. Very little ground is being retread, rather, dozens of anons are consigned to nonstop analysis and interpretation of the work from every angle and at every aspect. This has reached such a creative storm of a fever pitch that new threads are getting posted hours early to talk about other CYOAs before the old thread slides and the plurality of Tankista aficionados flood in like a monsoon-cracked dam's river. You have an in by having Jdan not actively sit the Old Throne and rely on an intermediary who might not be on the country's side if you really want to fight them manually for some reason. And the Old Throne is not all powerful. You had seen plenty of cases in the past where it was defeated in open war anyway. It's tricky to run a country and get reliable information while being permanently glued to a chair.

If people like the theory what's the point of going ahead and saying it's wrong or it is right. It's a cyoa after all and if he wants that to be ambiguous then it is up to each player to decide. I will personally marry Eirina and kill the Rhucuphre. Or vice-versa, depending on my mood at the time.
>>
>>96516756
Eirina is 666 years old, and Rhucu is 999.

Eirina is suspiciously unambitious for a mage who invented an entire new school of magic from nothing but Charlotte's sleep talking.

Rhucuphre teaches you how to act in such a way that the gods don't pay much attention.

The CYOA is just fun. It's not just a numbers game, there's an enormous amount of options to choose from. The Blessings from the Patrons are interesting, and the actual benefits they give you can be competed by your own sense of which suits you the most. The same with all the characters. Sure there's always going to be powergamers who go for the most points available like Maiosara and instantly flip themselves to a adoptive parent, but at the same time there's people who put together parents based on their backgrounds to make a cohesive family. You can apply it to companions too. It's a very immersive and narratively driven CYOA that doesn't pigeonhole you into any one plot, the world is yours to explore and do as you will. For the powergamers though there's still plenty to enjoy, trying to crack the most insane combination of gifts, skills, and magic, or cheat fate by skirting by your predetermined death. I personally lean towards the latter powergamer archetype while still enjoying the characters and such, Im just not smart enough for true exploits.

Even the plot of Charlie's rule doesn't have to be tackled immediately as you can leave it to the 12th Outsider or work with them if you feel that its beyond the scope of your abilities. Maybe you just want to make cool new spells, rule a kingdom of your own, or do your own technological uplifting. Or just bang a ton of hot chicks with your all mental gifts build. Nothing is an invalid way to play.

The multiplayer aspect I feel is one of the reasons why it sticks around so much. I enjoy this version of multiplayer because there's nothing that actually says you have to help eachother. You could easily be joining a death match between all the Outsiders if you happened to clash in goals too much. It also opens a whole new can of worms as if you were getting more companions/mentors to have to try and consider when making your build because just like the rest they'll exist regardless if you choose them or not.
>>
>>96516814
>How is his plan helping me unify with the Old Throne and Malkuth though?

>>96516740
>The problem is her being a hypocrite about it. You can be an evil spy, but don't try to moralize about making children happy while you're twisting the knife in their parents' sides.
You're not being an evil spy by supporting your allies.
Try looking at it this way: you're given proof that the civil war is going to happen regardless, but the outcome will be better if you support one of the sides. Wouldn't you view it as minimising the damage?
And if you as the player make it so that the civil war is avoided, then it retroactively means that Ruzhana's actions strengthened the White positions in the preserved Exarchate, which will be good for the future.

Multiocular O states that you can fit new eyeballs from its array if you lose your old ones.
However, if I allow this to apply with Missed Shape, it's basically free points. I might as well have allowed you to sell all of your slots in Multiocular O. That's why I feel it's more fair to say that you should not be able to fit any new eyes into the slots you give up via Missed Shape. So if you give up both eyes, you make your Multiocular O useless.

A few more adopted predefined Siblings (and Paxxia herself on the same list, but not adoptive, obviously) representing it directly is the best I can do. I am not adding any more Encounters.

>>96516890
Since you are talking about encounters, are the two mentor into companion encounters allowed to be taken for free? I didn't know if you needed an empty companion slot for them or it just required you picking them.
Also, a small nitpick but shouldn't Serebriyanka and Barsik know Banewhisper since they come from Mamet. Since now there's a language from the continent it feels weird that they only speak Everman.
>>
>>96516890
>However, if I allow this to apply with Missed Shape, it's basically free points.
Well you've said before the CYOA is full of little 'exploits' like that to get advantages, as a YMRD thing. But it's your ruling, of course.
>So if you give up both eyes, you make your Multiocular O useless.
You should update it to specifically make them incompatible then, rather than existing in a limbo right now where you can take both but if you do then Multiocular O doesn't function and you wasted points buying it.

Mlada the dark cleric who will not worship the Elder Gods but lives their teachings versus Anon the necromancer who worships JNPL like all good Tumens while desecrating the cycle of reincarnation. They fight. for one reason or another, (the Umbral Shore is as good a reason as any) but eventually fate conspires to force them to work together. They argue, because dark clerics are an argumentative sort, but neither can really bring themself to hate the other. The fights and debates eventually become an excuse for sticking by each others sides, and a century or so later each one is finally ready to admit that the other understands them more than anyone else in the world.

>I'll probably change some stuff around in Encounters, but I'm not sure if anything needs to be changed in Youth and Quest sections.
I mostly feel like a lot of activities currently presented in Youth is partially covered in some Encounters, while Quest is there to solidify the goal/build. Because the way CYOA presents them, both Encounters and Youth supposed to represent the early life before adulthood (and few years in it for some Encounters). If Youth sections are more of personal interests/hobbies group which you might do between getting eaten by giant drake in Stygia and having a camping trip next week after, it is just my personal misunderstanding otherwise it feels like you now have two sections which technically cover the same field. And potentially Quest which might contradict chosen Encounter? But that's more on player if go Tuzik route with Az while making the world fall into Chaos with Dobrava.

Early 20th is actually very high, unlike physics and chemistry, which exploded recently, mathematics has been easy to contribute to and steadily moving along since ancent times (And then it also exploded with computing)
1900's is practically near modern day aside from very specific high level stuff, and fields that only started recently
I would have assumed 1600-1750 (Newton, calculus, euler)
I suppose they are advance enough for wage cuckery
Sorry for bothering you about something so irrelavent and unknown to you
I'll just need to reorient that build around ponzi schemes and organised crime

Encounters do feel awfully limited right now, but that's mainly because you need to pick them, so people heavy builds are left taking almost all of them and needing to contort the plot to fit them
I don't think I've actually seen someone take more then one nothing happens, And I can only recall one nothing happens

>What's Dream Passage's range? do you need to sleep right next to someone to enter their dreams? can you hope from one dream to another? and what happens if you kill/sex someone in their sleep?
It's not strictly a range. Think of it closer as astral projecting yourself out of your own dream and then walking around and diving in and out of people's dreams. Dying in a dream, of course, doesn't really mean anything - it's only a dream.
>So what's the deal with Caeda? are her dream-learning and teleportation abilities replicable? and who did she make a connection with on the "otherside"?
No, they're meant to be a unique gift. I wanted to imply that "someone godly" who gave it to her was [SRTR].
>We know that [SRTR] is sealed inside of a dream, is it possible to locate and free her?
Yes, but I've not set a definitive location on where the "entrance" could be found.
>What's the difference between a dream realm and a dungeon?
Dream realm is a category of stuff of which dungeons and people's dreams are a part of. There might be more stuff fitting into the category, but I haven't came up with them yet.
>Can Dirk Yesod tell if that you are born out of [JNPL]? Would that be sufficient enough for him to let go of his grudge against Keter if you have her as a mentor?
Yes, he should be able to. I think that might be a good excuse, yes.
>What kind of Inborn Gifts do Mithraics have?
Only some points and character slots of some arbitrary arrangement. You might ask "what about their aptitude for magic?" - well, it's personal gifts. It's just that most of them have either Caster Intuition or Spiritual Feel, but it's treated as a separate thing from racial benefits.
>What did One's Soul Revolving do,?

Fusing Warmachina with Majin to create a new path for the Old Throne to thrive and defeat the Ecumene advance. Going with the full mental package and caster spec. Going to fully lean on Jdan and Seo for support as I learn from them. Jdan knowing the future can advise me on viable paths forward and steer me from pitfalls in research on Warmachina. Eirina, Mlada, and Seo are there to provide new routes to explore with magic and learn more in the future as I research and develop more esoteric techniques. Brastat, Darina, and Jdan can help on Warmachina, particularly Brastat.

Darina, Seo, and my own desire to do a favor for Aat will have me try and extract Bal from Darina’s dream realm as well, perhaps by developing a technique for imbuing her from the dream into a warmachina. Since it is a conduit for the nightmare to invade, it’s best to deal with that even if 0^0 is the more immediate threat.

I'm going to hopefully acquire prosthetic arms early on, at worst I can create a Majin to make some for me after advising them or if nothing else make Majin imbued arms from a gauntlet, but Jdan should be able to help with a problem I no doubt had in the previous timeline.

Rolling for my letter.

The True dragons, Vtorusha, and 0^0 were no different. They sought not to oppose the Elder Gods, but to emulate them. To bring others to heel and force them to accept their own idea of Meaning.

I seek to create a world free from the tyranny of the gods, to destroy the pillars and bring the world back to its natural state. A world without words, a world of pure thought, pure dream, pure Meaning. A world of total freedom.
To this end, everything is justified. Whatever I can take from fate must be taken.

I have selected my parentage to yield the most amount of points possible. As such I possess 7 eye gifts, all mental gifts, a fair number of martial gifts, and several utility gifts.
My Multiocular O loadout is strong, but perhaps the strongest is Grim Outlook x3. This allows for a multitude of combinations for cursed objects, and it why I have taken several gifts like Spirit Tap, Touch of Embedded Rust, and Devout Signature.
For example, a cursed weapon with the gifts of Touch of Embedded Rust, Iron Stomach, Blazing Seal, and the letters of Iotated Ouk, Yest, and Psi. A weapon like this might allow me to break down and absorb some forms of divine power. Or maybe not. I will have to spend a long time experimenting with various effects.
Absorbing the corpses of past outsiders is a goal, though.

2/2

I am starting in Dis. My Letter of the Damned, Izhitsa (I'm choosing it, so if you don't want to include me in tide idc), represents infinite possibility. It is the last known letter of the God-Script and has given me a very demonic appearance.
Dis is one of the few places where I could live in relative peace. It is also a place where the nightmare is potent. I will spend much of my youth searching for knowledge beneath the city. With Upunth's teaching and my gifts, I hope to harness the power of the nightmare for myself.
If I cannot effectively use it to my own ends, I would like to research how to destroy the corruption or mitigate its spread.
Of course I am aligned with Pandaemonium, as they share my ideals. Except, I will not play into YMRDs hand. I will not reset the universe only to have it fall back under the control of the Elder Gods. Only time will tell if I can prevent this outcome.
I will use the teachings of the True Dragons as well as Pukluxun and Zhuckha to cultivate a new form of worldly divinity. One that will help me spread my ideals, and empower myself as well as my followers.

I haven't decided on an appropriate effect for my autoantecedence, so if anyone has any suggestions please say

People are winning with Unnotable Parents and no Gifts. If you can't weave a story where you do, blame your lackluster imagination, not the points pool.

Youth option is the more general focus, while Encounters are extra specific. Just because you've decided to visit a dungeon one time doesn't mean it contradicts you not choosing to dedicate your early years to Dungeoneering.

>>96516967
Well, since I am not actually stating it anywhere in the CYOA and only discussing the idea here, you can decide it to be any range you want. It's just a CYOA, after all.
Maybe if I remove the Location restriction from half of the Encounters on the first page it would be better.

Speaking of Gifts, will Darina's gift list ever be revealed? I really want to know what makes her so special.

One last thing, I hope the JNPL mother option gets buffed somewhat. As for right now, its agonisingly crippling to do a build with her. And I don't mean add/reduce points, I'm talking about an edge (death of the author alone is not enough to justify her cost) or exploit that makes her option worth it. Also since the free race choice you get with her was made semi-illegal par your words, it made taking her that much harder to justify. In summary [JNPL]momdom is narratively cool but mechanical horrendous as a option.

Say I only have one mentor, by description, I only have one encounter per mentor or companion. But I'd need to take the mentor regular encounter, plus that other one, therefore needing two Encounters.
If I had two mentors, All Alonged one and encountered the other via a regular encounter, I'd have one encounter remaining encounter to use on the second mentor, which would be the mentor only encounter.

Can you buff the Insular language bonuses in the next update.

Something like letting them get one or both of their language's other bonus would go a long way toward making them more viable or just buffing their effects. Some like Everman are just downright bad compared to what you lose by not choosing other options.

And thanks for the update. Has been a lot of fun going over it to make builds.

Gifts aren't as good as this general likes to think. The strongest outsiders became so because of their skills and mentors. Death of the Author is very strong, it's a wincon against 0^0 in itself. I don't think it needs a buff.

But formalizing being able to pick restricted race options would be cool. Divine power can't affect your body, so Charlie can't block you from taking those other races. Or something like that.

I thought about it, but there's a risk of readers going "What, that's it? How lame!". Maybe it'd be better to keep that a secret.
>One last thing, I hope the JNPL mother option gets buffed somewhat.
I might go and state that you can pick one of the Extended Races openly, but there's a problem in that there's just not enough space to specify every single limitation of what you can and cannot do with it in [JNPL]'s Mother's description. Just adding the lines about 0^0 not paying attention to her was already a bit difficult.

Hard disagree, while they aren't end all be all of the cyoa, they are the core which your build is made around. Even the Outsiders which supposedly made do without buying gifts, got them in other ways (Aat fierting Xian and Erginter gift-stealing tricks).
>The strongest outsiders became so because of their skills and mentors.
That's is true, too bad you can't get many mentors due to them costing 2 ancestry points per slot which [JNPL] insures you'll never have enough of.
>Death of the Author is very strong, it's a wincon against 0^0 in itself. I don't think it needs a buff.
"wincon" is a bit of stretch, its an extra life at best and becomes obsolete once Charlie catches on. View of Fore gives you the same thing for much cheaper AND can be used repeatedly.
Its a bit strange that you claim that gifts aren't important but turn around and exaggerate the importance of DoTA which is just a super gimmicky gift.
>>
>>96517210
The probably with nerfs is that when you have these huge builds built on 20 pages of interacting mechanics, pulling a single thread (by nerfing something they're using,) can unravel the entire thing and require ALL that work be completely thrown out. That's fine for hurting people taking advantage of an obvious oversight (like the Keter thing) but what about when it ruins a normal, legitimate build that just can't function with one or two lost points?

Yen - has nothing that would let her be in the empire
Serebryanka - Auburn for arcadia
Vesryn - Auburn for old throne region
Sharik and Barsik - Neither of these have a particular location implied, but they also don't really feel like Dis characters
Syllia, Ratha, Pu'un, Lu'ut - can't pick a starting location at all as single parents or when paired together, because they only know dead languages.

(dice fudged mentors can have similar issues, but eh, dice fudging is always gonna have some weirdness)

So it makes the choice more relevant, now if they want to just pick the best choice they are not gaining nowhere near as much, meaning that their choices have to make more sense rather than just making a shopping build with no cohesion.
I'm starting to think that a much better solution would be to give her intelligence on top of everything else, now those that Misalliance her will forever be known as not that smart.

If you squint at the image for Things That Shouldn't Be Encounter, you'll see a figure behind the bars as a kind of suitable example.
Generally, I imagine them as something horrible looking that's hard to describe, like something a bad AI would make while simultaneously being hard to distinguish, like something in, well, a dream.
The actual magic I was thinking of was more about saying more complicated and long sentences, putting accent on different letters in them to emphasise different effects. Sentences can go on for very long and have many interlocking parts.
But the RYOA still looks cool, maybe you could treat it as an abstraction of that.
The Keter could have theoretically won if she made better decisions before engaging in her final battle. But that's just saying "Yes, she could have won if she had done stuff she needed to win". I don't think she's a side character.
I thought to write down her whole final battle at some point like I did for War of Fakers (twice) before, but I shouldn't. Writefaggotry is very hard and time consuming, I slowed down on my CYOA production before specifically because I was tied down by my promise to finish the War of Fakers I could not fulfil in time.

Misalliance is the broken AP thing. Just get some dark elf parent and you have +15 AP with not drawbacks. If anything, dark elf parent should always give Eternal Curse to their children even if they are not dark elves. Also parent cost rebalance was urgently needed after Misalliance was introduced. I don't think either of them is really in a rush to get back together. Calling your girlfriend a snake after she left you to suffer out of logic seems like a pretty definitive break up.
>>
Why try and remove the Eternal Curse when you can instead try to improve it.

You have an existing effect that can wholesale effect an entire race. If you could jailbreak it so that you say cast a buff that affects the entire race or use God Hand to transmit race wide blessings, you would be cooking.

Hell, acquire Everlasting and apply it to the curse so that Dark Elves are naturally regenerating and immune to all the downsides of the curse.

>They should only serve their purpose as languages and not point dispensers.
Forcing more tutoring with language to get a specific combination of parents, mentors, and companions should be much more prominent especially if you can pick them from across the globe while taking options related to one country saves you points because all important people are around you early on.
>>
>>96517725
And she didn't adopt or have one yet, since that'll be 100% good to her guaranteed as you say, because?

True Love doesn't work on most parents because it doesn't mesh well with familial bonds, but Ratha's bio mentions that she'll never love you like a mother would anyway.

I think Misalliance makes parent choice less interesting but it's not a problem. The real problem is unbalanced gift point cost of some parents, that makes them perfect target for misalliance. And adoption should not refund parent cost in AP too.
>>

This would also remove the need to use the tutor option on mentors and companions as you can just buy their language for yourself without worry. It would be good change.

How many Ancestry Points do you think Warmachina is worth?
>>
>>96517859
>Every Warmachina Mounting parent is shit tier genetically imo.
1000%

Vadim Sacro-Ionian is basically the only viable one.
I tried making my Majin build work with the Dark Elf that has it, but I just couldn't get enough points so I did Yesod + keter trick instead.
>>
>>96517865
Again, this is a specific character in a story, who has description. She is not a generic "most people", nor is she you in a beastfolk angel girl hat.
>>
>>96517833
You will just have more points and different values in languages to handpick them for your choices in order to avoid exploits and simply picking The Best choices because that would require extra investments.
>>
>>96517861
I strongly believe that only relative power is relevant. Rebalance will always make relatively strong guys weaker. But they may stay good in absolute terms.
>>
>>96517837
Parents are meant to be more than just points, compare Stoyan to Murka. She costs 3 more points than him and gives Greatriding Spurs over Bulletproof skin, which is a cheaper and arguably much less versatile option. But as a parent Murka is rich, will give you all the comforts you need and will help you train in whatever cause you want, while also being someone you can relay on to help you if she doesn't die during your childhood. Meanwhile Stoyan will most likely do nothing until you are a teen where he will perhaps teach you how to fight as long as you don't bore him.
>>
>>96517854
>Letters of the Damned
>A spammable custom(if you're on singleplayer) spell that's as strong as you are creative sounds pretty damn good honestly. Especially considering the example of stuff we've seen other Majin characters use their Letters for.
>>
>>96517859
I mean, if you're going off of raw points and not opportunities, Zwa + Iwnn clearly aren't good even with their discount. But on the other hand it's more or less handing the largest remaining power opposing the Ecumene in your lap if you marry/kill Kalliope.
>>
>>96517875
No more than 5.
>>
>>96517884
That's a misguided notion and ignores the raw-fun quotient of having more points to use or fun powers to think about.
>>
>>96517891
You don't need incest to marry Kalliopa, though it is recommended
>>
Strict point balance forces people to choose the best options. It decreases build diversity, not increases it.

If you have to choose between witchshot and intelligence/wisdom, when the fuck are you ever going to pick witchshot?
>>
>>96517875
3-4, considering you need to go out and find your own Warmachina or use up an encounter on it
>>
>>96517875
Probably 3-4, it's no daemonhost or icon of icon but its still really good. Just takes longer to get going and has a much more defined power cap without some other supporting options.
>>
>>96517881
Her story relevant part is "want a family". Most people who still want a family would not like what it just described.
>>
>>96517900
Now people just pick misaligned witchshot. What you say is true if there is no misalliance.
>>
>>96517882
>You will just have more points and different values in languages
I will not, because by removing the language bonuses AND giving more points (let's say another 5/5) AND forcing me to tutor my parents, you just took away 5/5 points from me, gave me 5/5 points back, then forced me to pay at least 2 DP to tutor my parent in a language the other one speaks. 3/5 remains. So the effect actually is that you just stole 2 points from me.
>Avoid exploits
Literally just the Keter shit he's already removing.
>Simply picking the best
People are going to pick the best for their build regardless. What you actually did is make certain races and parents completely non-viable. I mentioned Northerners for example because they'd be total dogshit with overlapping fits if you got your way. People aren't going to go "oh well I guess I have to make a dogshit mage because my parent can only fuck someone else who speaks Greenspeech!" they're going to go "Fuck this shit, making another Dei + Pir Majin if I want to be a mage."
>>
>>96517859
Kuz'ma just needs his Warmachina described in his bio instead of hidden away on a bonus page if he really will give it to you.
>>
>>96517896
At that point why not just give you 40 points at base, or better yet, just give out all possible gifts and all companions and mentors at once. If you really need to get everything for your build to be good then why even make it in the first place
Part of the fun is working within the limits to make your idea work. Personally I always found JRPGtraitor to fail at that for example, since it gives you so many points that once you pick every option you want you just start getting generic good stuff that you will forget you bought half the time.
>>
>>96517926
>You want your parents to give you good and fun gifts that fit your build?
>Wow, you must want infinite points and to be omnipotent!
Can you try not to shitpost for one second?
>>
>>96517900
Truth. This is a different version of the same trap that CYOA authors who make you spend all of your points on the immortality option fall into. Those CYOAs would literally always be improved by making immortality free or removing it entirely, because having it be present but impossibly overpriced forces you to choose between having fun playing the game and picking the options that you'd actually choose in a self-insert scenario.
>>
>>96517543
Given how the Old Throne works doesn't Jdan's description necessitate that the Old Throne will always be forced into a corner, effectively guarunteeing that the only meaningful factor of change is Jdan's actions, which means regardless of your build choices the Old Throne will always reach a state of empyreans in the throne room if he does nothing? I know I worded this poorly but the basic question here is on how much agency the player loses because of this added bit of description.
>>
>>96517926
How do you feel about the mental gifts essentially removing 10 points of variety from every build?
>>
>>96517921
>People aren't going to go "oh well I guess I have to make a dogshit mage because my parent can only fuck someone else who speaks Greenspeech!" they're going to go "Fuck this shit, making another Dei + Pir Majin if I want to be a mage
True, as someone who doesn't go out of his way to abuse meta stuff. If the only way to make a satisfying/fun build is to abuse meta stuff, then I'll do so every time.
>>
>>96517887
Greatriding Spurs isn't supposed to suck, it's just one of those gifts without a good place in the CYOA because of the lack of any section explaining how you can make a mount viable to use.

Keter trick increased the points pool. Did it increase the build diversity?

I don't understand the argument. It's not like V2 is going to disappear.

Shouldn't effect anything considering he's already significantly changed his actions(Actually walking around and being active in things instead of sitting on his throne all the time), still seems to be plotting against them(see everything mentioning Old Throne's hostility towards Dis and Malkuth is actually a front to disguise them preparing to fight the Ecumene) and likely has a plan to off the traitors that would sell him out to the Ecumene.

Guy is just an average, every day man from an average, every day land. He lives a quiet life, and he doesn't like to be bothered. On the surface, at least. Underneath, he is a master of disguise and deception, able to hide in plain sight, even from the gods. His incredibly cursed heritage, made possible through divine intervention, miraculously ended in him looking like a completely normal human. All of his gifts are easily concealable, and his family is just as inconspicuous. Even his gift of diminishment allows him to smuggle and hide things like no other.

His death letter is Buki, but how can 0^0 meet him if she doesn't even know he exists? Even right under her nose, in the heart of the Ecumene, he can go unnoticed. This buys him the needed time and cover to formulate his plans and gather allies. A few centuries, at least.
He chooses no one plan. To put all your eggs into one basket is unwise. All possibilities must be explored to ensure total victory.

By the time 0^0 even notices his existence, she will have already lost.

Cognitive Speed, Attentiveness and Wisdom are at most marginally good towards being a caster. And Memory Retention is questionable as well. The worst thing about not having them is having to study some more and taking a while until you become wise. All of the mental gifts are things you can naturally train yourself in. Tankista even clarified that Inga is a great Spellcaster even with no Inborn Gifts since she already knows how it works.

Okay you have to be an idiot if you think being able to remember all your spells isn't mandatory for a Caster.
>>
>>96518017
Basically you take Blazkho and give him Leimere as a mentor, then buy a shit ton of empty Mentor Slots and give Blazkho the equivalent number of Mentors which you get the full benefits due to Leimere giving Blazkho the ability to teach everything he learned with no point cost.
>>
>>96518033
Yes, those. Some people also think that Dobrava is gonna give them Empyreality once she dabs on Nilmatrix even though he said she'll likely be the one getting it, maybe he'll clarify that.
>>
>>96518053
>Tankista even clarified that Inga is a great Spellcaster even with no Inborn Gifts since she already knows how it works.
That's not remotely the same thing, that's downloading the brain of someone who was already a master spellcaster into a substandard body. She doesn't LOSE what she had already, but she gained all of that with the help of the gifts she had in life. That's not the same a you starting with no knowledge and no talent.
>>
>>96518053
>All of the mental gifts are things you can naturally train yourself in
Now note that I never said you can't compensate for not having them, you're just going to have to work way harder than the guys who do have them to reach a level they got to easily.
>Tankista even clarified that Inga is a great Spellcaster even with no Inborn Gifts since she already knows how it works.
Irrelevant to my point since when she was learning how to do that all the first time, she did have inborn gifts.
>>
>>96518077
I dont think empty mentor slots pass over to Blazhko, you'd need to have actual mentors for him to get more too.
>>
>>96518053
All three of those are essential.
>>
>>96517603
Alright then this build isn't mine but I find it an interesting thought experiment about how far you could go using only the given meta-knowledge.

Firstly there's no chance of any wizardry or such happening in this build and we lack any kind of useful melee skills so for combat we're probably going with a rifle and a prayer. The main power it can accumulate will be allies and set-up. Everman is a rather irritating pick since it locks us out of a lot of the helpful characters but that's fine, its incsular will also help with learning other languages.

Goal one in childhood is to make enough money to purchase a rifle to begin training marksmanship as early as possible (Before this do hand to hand and dagger training and after split it 50:25:25), another priority is scrounging up some knowledge on airships and blue grease for later purposes. We also want to travel from dis to the Kingdom of Malkuth which should hopefully be fairly easy given we're guarunteed not to die yet.

Using our new knowledge we can now join Aehelths crew, the frequent travel will make learning languages easier as another bonus but the more important thing is that there's a guarunteed incident in the future that will make it easier to take over the ship, before it happens begin planting rumours in the crew that the captains obsession with his rival is clouding his judgement and be as helpful and authoritative around the ship as possible, preferably getting into a right hand man role to learn his modifications 'as a backup'.

Once the battle actually happens it should then be easy to take out Saevel from afar with a rifle shot right after the event's have transpired and then have a vote of no confidence on the captain due to the battle losses and minimal reward, try to convince him to peacefully retire due to his injuries but if not he can be always be forced.
(1/?)
>>
>>96518078
Honestly the Empyreality isn't the main reason to do that. It's to remove Nilmatrix.
I don't want a shapeshifting paranoia agent existing as an active threat to me.
>>
>>96518061
No you don't? Cognitive speed explicitly does not work at the speed of reaction time, which is the speed combat takes place at. It's useful when you're in cover or out of distance for thinking up tactics quickly, but that's not a caster versus martial thing.
>>
>>96518094
All-Glimpse, and maybe even some other magic, solves that. The paranoia part at least, she can still just stab you.
>>
>>96518100
It's a low magic setting anon. Martials aren't light speed blitzing you. You can think in combat and the Gift explicitly improves your ability to come up solutions and get over deer in headlights situations.
>>
>>96518100
Cognitive Speed doesn't work on reflexive actions that you take without thinking. It does work on coming up with detailed plans quickly in response to changing circumstances.
>>
>>96518089
Tell that to them. Plus even with that limitation you can easily get up to 6+ mentors for cheap by just picking 1 and 0 pointers.
>>
>>96518106
It's possible to get around All-Glimpse, we have Hladvig scheming around Dirk, and the encounter in Stygia showing that. It helps but you're going to die if you treat it as if it's unbeatable.
>>
>>96518109
They actually can light speed blitz with Esurient Walk x2, but the chance of someone having even x1, let alone x2, should be pretty damn low.

A question not for tankista but everyone: where do you go to get images like that anymore? 2025 GANs don't make the body horror kino that older models made. >>
>>96518091
Arguably, the true unnotable one build takes Az instead of Buki. Buki guarantees you will meet 0^0, which causes fate to push you in a certain direction, at least somewhat.

>Goal one in childhood is to make enough money to purchase a rifle to begin training marksmanship
This depends on what meta knowledge you have, but I think it would be better to work as a smith's apprentice. You could make your own guns. Or tell people to make guns for you, if you give them a rough idea of the design.

Either way I think you should sell Earth tech to make as much money as possible as quickly as possible. From there you can get into merchantry, or pirating, or whatever. I think a lot of the characters would be willing to join you if you simply told them that you are an outsider and you're trying to kill 0^0. The Exarchate might even give you minor noble status, which should help in moving around.
Although, lying low might be better.

Whatever you do, you should definitely look for Oko Shtorma. You might need to find Brastat to fix her.
>>
>>96518148
>Keep a notebook
You gonna read that shit in the middle of battle?
>>
>>96518124
I know the Stygia encounter is just a question of their being out of Dei range. But how does Hladvig do it? It doesn't contradict the gift's description, right?
>>
>>96518091
By this point we should have a full on skyship at our beck and call and we're going to head back to The Kingdom of Malkuth docking at a skyport a decent distance from civilization, having hopefully already learnt Salian the goal is to use our portion of our piratic wealth to set up a meeting with Dirk Yesod, disguising it as a business or religious venture.
We have no way to recover yesods mind but by letting him read through ours he gains meta-knowledge while in a much more useful position to exploit it, I would do this with Dei and Ratibor as well but one lacks any languages I can learn quickly and the other seems difficult to find.
The next step is a little grisly but having to deal with people nagging about piracy while attempting to save the world seems annoying so I'll poison the entire crew to death and shoot any survivors, they can be hopefully replaced with a single necromancer loyal to yesod and the cause of saving the world, to ensure the ship remains at peak performance.
Now pre-commit to travelling to the Old Throne to meet up with Jdan as soon as this is done, at this point he can brief me on what strategies have and have not worked.
Potential Solutions include:
>Filling all the dream realms in poluden with nightmare to deny the empyreans resurrection
>Getting the keter back up on her feet (how hard can it be to find a lady with giant white wings) and using her as a super weapon
>Reawakening Vtorusha using someone with starsight on the throne and/or sacrificing dirks eyes to recomplete it
>Just trapping charlotte in a perpetual death loop with an extremely fast wire vibrating above human reaction speeds to decapitate any potential re-spawns
>Hi-jacking the ecumenical moon program to get YMRD to help
>Using someone with dream passage to try and enter SRTR's toybox to get her to help
If one doesn't work it doesn't matter since Jdan already knows and can inform me, I only care about the winning timeline. Recruiting and thievery are the way.
>>
>>96518154
>Practiced maneuvers implemented when you see an opportunity
That's literally a reaction, anon. It's not in the domain of cognitive speed.

Cognitive speed's combat applications are recovering from shock and quickly thinking of plans when faced with the unexpected. It's useful in combat, but, again, that isn't a martial-versus-caster thing. That's an engagement-speed versus tactical-speed thing.

>But how does Hladvig do it?
Not meeting Dirk personally and just tricking the people around him, like how he tricked his mom into getting him to attack the Empire of Light and Dark.
>>
>>96518181
The protagonist can die as soon as all fated encounters are resolved. Going by previous outsiders, that tends to be around 20 years old. The protagonist can also suffer permanent injuries at any point.
>>
>>96518190
>he tricked his mom into getting him to attack the Empire of Light and Dark
My boy Dirk is innocent.
>>
>>96518190
Would he just read rhe narrative of him tricking people into attacking him?
>>
>>96518170
Dirk also has a range and Hladvig is outside the kingdom. Besides being able perceive everything around doesn't mean that you can focus on it all at the same time. You need to focus on something to slowly read into it's past on future and only up to the point where it doesn't change.
There are also probably other ways to get around it like gifts, spells and causality. Nilmatrix is immune to your All-Glimpse if you pick her as a companion for example.
>>
>>96518191
>The protagonist can also suffer permanent injuries at any point.
Which is bad even if you can heal it, because gifts are lost when the limb they're tied to is lost.

Your Rhucuphre bro? her hiding tricks are definitely magical in nature.
>>
>>96518226
>when he said scheming "around" I though he was literally next to him
I said tricking the people around him. For instance, even if Nilmatrix can't trick or hide from you, she can still trick your companions, mentors, or the various NPCs around you into leading you into danger or accidentally harming you. All-Glimpses precognition isn't a passive thing, and reading minds won't help against someone who's genuinely trying to help you.
>>
>>96518199
She is not immune. She needs to avoid your attention 100% of the time until the encounter happens. She probably teleports often and scries from miles away.
>>
>>96518218
That's not true. It just means that the methods to conceal you have to work by some means other than blocking the narration. You might overwhelm their senses with irrelevant narration, or cause them to ignore the narration like what Rhucuphre magic does, or make the narration misleading but technically true, etc.
>>
>>96518259
>her hiding tricks are definitely magical in nature.
They're as magical as the causality trick that Charlie can teach you. The only magical part of it is the sigils that can make people avert their eyes from you, the rest is just skill.

"Magic" in this setting is just the manipulation of the God-Script. If she manipulates the script in every way, shape, or form, then she's using magic. I don't know you got this retarded "muh skill" idea from.

The encounter specifies that it will be someone you know and trust, not some background character who you merely caught glimpses of. It is written that way in the outsider system so it will come to pass, you cannot prevent the betrayal. That's the whole trap of picking her. Fate will just force you to not notice it even if you have All-Glimpse.

I updated it again, I did some language and Uruk voodoo so I could take Su'uq, and get a couple more gifts too. It really was mostly to get Su'uq, though. My stealth skills should make handling the Ogre encounter pretty viable, but I still feel I'm a pretty weak Outsider in a fight so I'm not sure how well the Troll one will go.

>Autoantecedence
Ability to overlap real world with a dream property. Invent/Buff Upunth teaching.

>Build
Muddish build without using Vtorusha toys. Instead, it doubled down on the importance of oaths and promises via Strokrad teaching. Also dream heavy build with Dream Passage, Dungeoneering, and a lot of time spent with Darina in dreams from early years.
A lot of Maladies, but Dobrava should be able to help with that and pick up everlasting for herself while at it. In theory, Zlata, Xet, and Upunth teaching together with inborn gifts could make a decent gish warrior. Mlada help with expanding buffs arsenal.
In time i should be able to develop Stokrad magic into a full blown binding oath merchant kind of staff.

>Blazhko
Eah, it sucks. Not only i use Leimeie exploit, it is also used on one of the two core mentors of this build - Upunth. At least there is a risk that something will go wrong and Blazhko doesn't teach me all this.

>Plans
It's a second chance for life. Least i can do to return debt for such an incredible gift is to be a supportive child for my parents and helping goddeses who may need help with the current situation. In fact, it probably will be my first oath.
Also, while at that, use this chance to become responsible, don't be a coward, and in general become a better person. And Greater Yus will help me in this endeavor.
Maybe later I'll spread Strokrad teaching around Muddish people to reinforce the cultural importance of promises.

I'd assume it works the same as any other sense does in a crowd -- your brain passively directs your attention so that, while you are technically perceiving a large amount of information, very little of it is being retained or processed.

A blind-the-all-glimpse spell would have to be designed to bypass that effect by constantly demanding a shift in your attention (like what happens when you hear your name in a crowd), or take advantage of that effect by hiding something important in the noise.
>>
>>96518409
Actually, reading better, it says "associated other characters", she may be able to gie it to herself depending on your interpretation. Feels kinda cheaty to get it for free with the obvious method though, and I'm not sure if the author said anything about it.
>>
>>96518423
New exploit?
>>
>>96518385
They can. The very fact that she is a choice in the System proves this. But Elder Gods aren't the only gods in the setting, so her teachings aren't useless.
>>
>>96518423
I think he clarified in Reddit that it was a useless encounter for her since it's meant to be given to another companion while you yourself can't get it through the event.
>>
>>96518434
>The very fact that she is a choice in the System proves this
Rhucuphrefags ignored the fact that [JNPL] is the one narrating her life story to them. Then again, [JNPL] is the one who pays attention to even the minor stories the other two don't, so it makes sense that if any of the three wouldn't ignore Rhucuphre, it's her.
>>
>>96518434

>>
>>96518434
Well the Pandaemonium choice in the youth section also proves that the Elder Gods definitely aren't all-knowing so...
Also if this was the first time Rhucuphre got picked by the Outsider System it would mean that she's been flying under the radar for that long before the fluke of [JNPL] merging with the system exposed her.

>Normally By Design is something that applies to another character you're meeting. Dobrava's Encounters are meant to be about the plot involved in the Encounter but without actually meeting anyone (the associated character) if it's possible. Strictly, Dobrava with By Design in her three Encounters would simply be about how nothing happened, and you just wasted your points.

I switch By Design to A Calm And A Storm and Myslete to Iotated Greated Yus.
>>
>>96518508
She was, [JNPL] definitely knows what Rhucuphre is doing, she simply doesn't care as that's another way for people in the world to find Meaning, even if they are hurt for it. Same reason she didn't really condemn Vtorusha actions.
>>
>>96518508
She was
>>96518497
As I said before, it would definitely make sense if [JNPL] was the only one who bothered to pay attention to her. Considering her entire thing is caring about every story, no matter how insignificant. Not like any of the Elder Gods would be opposed to her plan even if they knew about it tho.
>>
>survive your letter
>you're selected again
The gods are assholes.
>>
>>96518451
???'s entry states that the Outsider System is capable of picking up on things that the gods weren't paying attention to. It's entirely possible that JNPL was unaware of her plans until this iteration of the system activated.

Also, it's possible for them to know she exists, know that she's behind pandemonium, and know what pandemonium's plan is without observing every action that Rhucuphre takes. Her description is consistent with the idea that she could have plots other than pandemonium going which the gods are unaware of. Like how 0^0 can be caught by surprise by the Dobrava trick despite knowing about Dobrava, Gunter, Nilmatrix, and the details of the Shadow of God encounter.

"Act in such a way that the gods don't pay too much attention" isn't "act in a such a way that the gods can't pay attention." It should be about making some of your irrelevant-seeming decisions have payoff down the line, without drawing the narrative attention that a well-foreshadowed scheme like Hladvig's might. Pandemonium could very well be the red herring, with her real scheme being hidden somewhere else. (Like, and I'm only memeing a little here, the text of another character entirely.)

My own pet theory on Rhu/Eirina is this: ~84 years after mass-branding with Eternal Curse, Proto-Rhu attempts to escape it and everything goes horribly wrong. Or horribly right. That's Rhu's moment of clarity. She effectively splits herself, like something that might happen via Iotated Lesser Yus. Eirina isn't Rhu in disguise good enough to trick Outsider System, she's actually different character, perhaps even with different soul.
>>
>>96513486
That's actually a pretty smart trick. "Tutoring" the book means that someone was able to translate it without destroying the secret message, which means that they understood it, while also printing more copies with the same information. That means that it's spreading throughout the NPC population by itself.

Adding to this, I suspect she managed to engineer a simular situation to dodge her Yat from Erginter. Splitting yourself in two and then fighting to the death with yourself should probably qualify as a Yat. This could somewhat explain how she forgot the Drakonid language -- if it was specifically an ILY split, both halves should be lesser in some way, and each half losing some knowledge (like a language) would be one way to qualify as lesser.

Since she arranged this herself, she probably chose what parts of herself to lose as strategically as possible. A language thay she no longer had use for now that Erginter is dead would be an easy thing to sacrifice.

I personally interpret Yat as "you intentionally do to yourself something recognized as "death" by the System". Fight with yourself isn't necessary. So it's possible there is another one of her fragments somwhere in the world.

Everyone talks about the Dobrava/Nilmatrix trick, but Dobrava is capable of so much more than that. What are your favorite encounters to send her on, and why?

I'll start: If you send her on Let the Purgation Begin, she should invent a cure for Bitter Sickness. That's explicitly listed as a possible outcome, after all.

She can also prevent the Exarchate civil war if you send her on A Calm And A Storm, for the same reason. Or she can win the war for your side in Blood and Guts and Blood and Guts.

Good for clearing Dread The Wyrm and killing the Dragon King's off without putting yourself at risk. I didn't pick her though.

Well on the surface level, Lucifer is a character from the Book of Isaiah who thinks that he knows better than God. Some people contend that he's not even a spirit, just some arrogant ruler.

Many schools of the occult believe that Lucifer was really a trickster mentor that started the beginning of mankind's journey into gnosis, the escape from the material world into the spiritual one.

Rudolf Steiner of the Theosophists agreed, but did not think of this as a completely good thing. He sermonized that Lucifer was only the first and the least malicious one of the three antichrists that Humanity would have to defeat as they reincarnated into more evolved races. Lucifer represented spirituality at its unhealthiest and most escapist, it was his desire to stop all human evolution by terrorizing them into permanently staying between reincarnations. This would be a premature, self-righteous version of the permanent afterlife that God would have eventually rewarded everyone with.

Mormonism has similar beliefs about the "sales pitch", if not the motivation of the devil. Lucifer was purportedly a human spirit who tried to upstage Jesus as the savior of Humanity by promising to the rest of them that they would experience no suffering or evil in the world that he would have made, something against the wish of God and most of humanity to become gods themselves after a temporary state of mortality, so instead he and his cohorts eventually turned towards sabotaging the original plan.

In all cases, it's accepted that the omniscience of God means that his actions were somehow worked into "the great plan", the only disagreement is whether or not he's consciously playing into it.

TL;DR:
>Rebelled against Heaven.
>Wants to destroy all suffering by causing a lot of suffering. Will probably just make even more suffering.
>Probably being played by their enemies anyway.
>>
>>96519355
I see! I'm not fully convinced it was a direct reference, since "rebel against the heaven with a plan is being played by the omniscient ruler" is pretty cliché - but she definitely has the adjacent role.
I thought you meant "Rhucuphre is the Christian Devil".

He does bad luck rituals for his other CYOAs to transmute the karma into unnatural good luck for Outer Reincarnation.

0^0 wants to increase suffering out of spite.
>>
>>96519384
Nuh huh. He's talking about the TRUE antagonist of OR.
>>
>>96519390
Not exactly. She's convinced that her path is the right one and that the gods are evil pricks. Ends justifying the means and all that.

So companion slots are unusable, practically eliminating Northerner, Southlander, Alf, and Dwarf from consideration.

what

The Uruk Trick just got unavailable'd for Thetas.
>>
>>96519435
You cannot pick companions if you pick Theta, which means the only use of companion slots were Uruk encounters. Since tank said that Theta also bars encounters, companion slots are unusable.

It's not a trick. It's just picking Uruk encounters. Why are people calling everything "exploit" or "trick" now?
>>
>>96519449
Is there anything more cucked than picking Theta?
>>
>>96519453
There's no Uruk 'trick', just the completely intended interaction of using empty slots for Uruk encounters to get more points or switching AP to DP or vice versa.

>>96519458
Bro have you heard of the Dirk trick where you pick this guy and he's basically TWO Mentors? Holy shit Tank's gonna freak when he sees what people are doing.

I'm very tempted to drop Theta and fucking go to the moon ASAP to find YMRD while also having Stigmata for double Elder God teachings. Limitless possibilities—this is just picking another one. A likely better one.

I did the same, but the best outcome is advancinh the research for a cure, not finding one outright.

I enjoy watching people pick things for their builds that they'll regret.
Seeing people regret their obviously poor choices before they've even started is even better.

1 DP, 1 DP, my kingdom for 1 more DP.

Burn two AP.
>>
>>96519458
It's still retarded that some people take those encounters with no plan to get out of them intact, like with a pure social build, and expecting to just win without losing an arm and an eye.
>>
>>96519529
7 AP and 7 DP. It's obviously a fair number, but most Toybox anons were going for the options to get the most gifts, just take away all the ones that don't add much.

>>96519546

Now you're reminding me of this easter egg from the Orthrung. I don't think that it can count as foreshadowing the demonlord bomb.

A religion can have multiple antagonists, especially a fictional one. Charlotte is more like Satan than Lucifer (when they're separate characters) as a devil who's defined by wrath as much as pride. Xian and Aat are also a good match for a conception of the devil as "God's dirty man".

>>96519428
Vtorusha is a stage in the history of Humanism where it's trying to leave its religious origins behind (Bob) but hasn't evolved back into a religion itself (Charlotte). She was trying to argue to theistic gods that deism should be true. Deists weren't "atheist creationists", they believed in a benevolent God with a plan to benefit the human race that wasn't limited by the decrees of any church. Freemasonry might be a good match to the Befallen Eparchy.

Rhucuphre obviously represents Luciferian Gnosticism or any other kind belief system where "end this suffering" excuses everything. I don't know enough about terrorism to compare the Pandaemonium to real world authors, probably L. Ron Hubbard or Sabbati Zevi?

NTA but it's all but said multiple times in the cyoa. That's just media literacy.
