Iron Daemon or an equivalent vehicle. They need a good centerpiece vehicle that isn't the derpbot. It could even be dual-build with a Skullcracker!

Lammasu, easy.

JESUS CHRIST THESE ARE SOME SPINDLY FUCKERS
>>
>>96532259
i really wish those models could actually be run as a melee combat fighting unit instead of just techy little skirmishers and objective grabbers
>>
>>96532271
I like that role for them Dryads should probably be the frontline infantry blobs.
>>
Wow the Chorf army box is actually selling out at all my local stores
>>
>>96532335
knowing nothing about their lore, i feel like it should be reversed.

dryads are smaller and look nearly identical to trees, so it would make sense for them to be the weaker ones that just dissapear in and out across the field

these revenants look like serious warriors with pickaxes, sickles, glaives and greatswords. they look like they're ready for a fight, they should be a blender unit
>>
>>96532259
does anybody ever paint the elf part like it's normal elf flesh?
>>
>>96532210
This.
They had a named character with the OG ones on a walker because his legs had turned to stone.
Wish I still had that model

Damn box selling out in seconds online everywhere I can see except for the obvious scalpers who are jacking the price up 50%. What a shitshow

>cities of sigmar
That's surprising. Aren't they the "normal dudes" faction that was asked for a long time?
>>
>>96532635
thats what you have to do, kruleboyz are made of glass, they cant take a fair fight. 5+ and 6+ saves, no reanimation, healing, almost no wards. gotta kill the enemy before they hit you, either by a dirty trick like that or shooting.

i wouldnt feel too bad about it, kruleboyz may be good right now but they spent the better part of 4 years with like low 30% winrate, they took their licks
>>
>>96532358

>>
Is there any chance we'll see a live-action series or movie set in AoS?
>>
>>96532798
Unironically, never-ever. The change of 40k getting anything live action is slim enough as is.

>inb4 that Henry Cavill bit that's already a massive outlier.
>>
>>96532798
It all depends on how well the Warhammer 40k live-action series does.
>>
>>96532801
Henry's series is like the 3rd attempt and his 5 minutes are over, so i'm not that certain about it seeing the light of day
>>
>>96532832
Pretty much how I feel on it. Until that first ep is metaphorically in my lap, it doesn't exist in any capacity.

That Secret Level we got is as good as it ever will get - but that episode was pretty cool, so whatever.

I am confused. Is it confirmed that the HoH Spearhead released in the future will be the same as the Army Box minus the book or is the Army Box getting Spearhead rules but the actual Spearhead released in the future will be different?

It'd be dope if they get a Spearhead in the future that was different. Perhaps Bull Centaurs and hobgrots in it? Chaff tying up the enemy while big dicked bulls slam into the exposed flanks.

Which is also what you get out of their army set.

It is perfectly fine to shit on Fat Macc, world's Fattest Aussie, but you can't say he doesn't do anything for the HH community. He produced getting started guides for all the Legions and factions, the man is a pretty good painter, and he does not bullshit product reviews of printers (he has a fucking degree in plastics manufacturing and shit around 3d printing, his observations are backed by something).

>HoH mostly trade with Archaon's forces but will deal with anyone who can make it worth their while, though the goods they provide will usually be inferior make to what they keep themselves
>especially greedy Kharadron may seek to trade with them, despite the antipathy between their cultures
>Kruleboyz are the oldest clientele but will only deal through hobgrot middlemen because of an old series of wars that neither side knows exactly how they started
>these Wars of the Broken Promise culminated in a massive battle at Ur-Zorn where orruks snuck into the ziggurat and made it all the way to Hashut's vacant throne before their hobgrot allies backstabbed them and helped negotiate a peace
>Urak Taar is called a living ancestor and is rumored to be so old he aided Hashut in wrenching knowledge from the Realm of Chaos in the Age of Myth
>Urak Taar seeks godhood to escape his doomed servitude to Hashut, delving the vaults of Grimnir's Firehold for this purpose
>Urak Taar's steed Ghorrakos was made with the souls of Korrok's bullsires and has grown to exhibit rudimentary consciousness, moving without Taar's direction, and he lets this state persists because it will sometimes grumble in prophesy
>Urak Taar only speaks of himself in the third person
>SCE are viewed with hate and curiosity, because they are Grungni's make and to the HoH he is the Maker of Lies
>all non-Zharrdron are looked down on, but Archaon is at least viewed as a guy who has some sound ideas
>when the Hour of Ruin happened the HoH immediately set to exterminating rats, only halting because Varanguard emissaries told them this was Archaon's keikaku at work and they should see it as an opportunity
>hobgrots have their own version of Zharrdron cuneiform called hobscrawl, used to convey secrets and identify "markz", but is mostly used to lie and misdirect people

>non-sorcerers will sometimes leave their clan to be adopted into another, betraying their birth clan's secrets in the process
>at the summit of every ziggurat is located a High Temple of Hashut
>the temples are tended by the Scorched Sect, or Drazghar, the high priests of which are called Ashen Elders
>bull centaurs are "sanctioned" mutants and others are implied to exist, but are not acknowledged
>expectant mothers in Ur-Zorn petition Hashut to be blessed with bull centaur children
>bull centaurs are raised by the Drazghar in catacombs, fawned over from birth and heaped with luxury, they tend to develop god complexes as a result, and show little of the patience and stoicism that other duardin hold in virtue, their chambers are often littered with blood and mangled bodies left from their fits of anger

LORE QUESTION!

How tall is Ushoran. I am referring to lore and art, not the mini itself. Because if you look at this art of him, he is basically gargant sized. I know he towers over his progeny but if you look at the size of various skulls in his fur cloak and compare the size of those skulls with him, he is King Brodd size, only hunched and cover with fur mantle cloak.

Then in this art piece, he does appear a bit smaller.

Is this your first armyset? Literally all of them give you three units and a hero, exactly like spearhead. This one is only unusual in that the contents are exactly the same as the spearhead instead of slightly different, and the price is considerably lower compared to the ones that came out just this year.
>>
>>96534576
Yeah, it's less sleezy than normal GW, but the hidden pain point is that they're not actually going to release the spearhead for 6-8 months after the full army release.

So if you don't grab the armybox, and you don't want to drop full price on, uh...half the army because you're not an idiot you basically can't actually start the army for another half a year or more, that's the hidden lever.

I personally managed to snag a box from some tiny online store last night, but I had a moment to realize that if I didn't get it that there was basically no point in buying Chorfs at all until mid-late 2026.

That said, scalping the box is retarded because only a truly desperate idiot is gonna pay $300 for what is basically an early access spearhead. You might as well just buy individual kits at that point.

>>
>>96535198
thats not gonna happen. they're not gonna delay the armies spearhead to almost the end of the edition
They will. They always do. They literally did it with CoS not long ago, released the spearhead in April 2024 just a few months before the edition drop. They released the Darkoath spearhead AFTER the edition drop.

Honestly, the six to eight month policy is already GW being generous. New armies like LRL and OBR had to wait eons for their first SC/Spearhead box.
>>
bonereapers already got their second spearhead albiet
>>
>>96535147
Surely that's gotta hurt gw right? With shitmob sovlblight there were already existing armies with existing starts collecting, for a brand new army like chorfs you gotta have an easy entrypoint. I assume they'll restock the chorf box soon enough, to keep that entry point open till the spearhead. But maybe that's just a load of copium on my part.
>>
>>96535264
It's standard practice for a new army release. GW wants to pressure as many people as possible into paying full price for the brand new models before they release the discount set to pick up the people who were waiting for it before jumping in.
>>
