Today I watched the walking dead and realized how fucken retarded and schizo the D20 system and D&D are.Lets exclude the magic and try to simulate the walking dead levels of zombie adventure. You notice that the characters in the show do not really have a problem with killing zombies. The problem starts when they Exhausted themselves killing zombies are start getting tiered and the zombies keep on coming. This is very realistic.So lets use the D20 or D&D shit to simulate a character in this setting .... and it is schizo trash. Because warriors and all sward swinging classes are unrealistic as fuck! For some reason warriors do not get exhausted!Like WTF? They can swing a sword and hit things forever without EVER feeling exhaustion.WTF?! No the classes that have a limited number of attacks are the mage classes....WTF?!Should this not be the other way around ???Why is this system like this? Why is it so unrealistic?And literally useless for literally every setting?Why are the dumb jock classes the ones with unlimited attacks while the nerd classes get gimped like fuck? Like who the fuck did think this is a good idea? PS: Gygax is a SCHIZO there is no Gygaxian language that is simply SCHIZOPHRENIA talking.Like who the fuck would use this shit?Here is how a simple system can work for a setting like the walking dead.All swing item to kill zombie are modeled basically the same.The character has a D6 dice pool that in 1 V 1 scenarios requires you to roll anything above 1. While if you are dealing with 6 or more zombies surrounding you, you need to roll a 6. By performing a swing you character removes 1 D6 from their dice pool to simulate fatigue. This makes a character dying while fully rested extremely unlikely HOWEVER possible (unlike in D20 shit!) and with every swing your characters stamina gets depleted with every swing they do. Add to this some struggling mechanic that is like fate from talisman and you have a nice game.
